Great assessment. One thing to note is that Kenya never gave importance to minerals and oil in the past and has risen mostly due to its human resources. But such interest has picked up over the years. In January 2024, the country announced the discovery of significant coltan deposits. The Constitution already has mechanisms to prevent challenges bedeviling other African countries, which include the classification of certain minerals to be of strategic imperative (such as coltan) and, hence, requiring a nationalized mining approach, rather than concessions to foreign companies. A geological survey revealed that the country may have over 900 different types of minerals. Therefore, besides adopting the Singapore model, the country can also leverage minerals to augment the strengths it currently enjoys.
Ive been looking into our mineral Laws etc, cause thats a concern i also had..... My Ideology- ( If it wont benefit everyone - leave it in the ground) -- And not an ounce should be dug up until factories are built FIRST!!!
We all know what will happen if these minerals are commercially exploited. The proceeds will only line the pockets of few powerful individuals. Won't benefit the rest of the country.
Kenyan here, I've seen a lot of those geo-spacial surveys and I doubt we'll mine for most of those minerals coz most of them offer insufficient deposits. Our law also requires mining companies to initiate land reforms after exploiting land and most companies don't want to coz it eat into their profits.
Similar with the USA 🇺🇸, which when starting out didn't have a dependence of minerals and fossil energy. It depend on its Human Capacity, unlike the South American Countries.

The only thing i may agree about is peace in majority of the counties but claiming Kenya is soon to be the Singapore of Africa is a far fetched dream. We are not yet there, far way to go. In Singapore corrupt people are punished severely . The opposite is in Kenya
There's a saying in Kenya, "even if you are up at 4 am everyday, without connections youre just wasting sleep".......Kenya is only good to foreigners looking to invest but miserable for most locals, resources and opportunities are hoarded by cartels and politicians, the last two generations of youth will not be able to start families let alone work in what they studied............it has led to a silent but potent culture of envy and resentment and avarice that is invisible to outsiders who are looking in, most kenyans when they are alone silently and bitterly ask themselves " why not me"? .......and then comes religion.......

Nigeria 🇳🇬 and South Africa 🇿🇦 might have the largest economies in Africa but they just don’t cut it anymore! And without even urging these two countries to respectfully move over and make way for Kenya 🇰🇪, investors are actually taking notice of the business friendly policies and conducive environment in Kenya 🇰🇪 and taking action! The fact that Kenya attracted the highest amount of venture capital funding in Africa in 2023 at $800 million, (beating SA, Nigeria and Egypt) is proof enough that Kenya is not joking around anymore!

I am happy that Africa can change and from a continent known for poverty but soon to a continent like Europe and North America
Am pure kenyan love my country ❤
As a Kenyan i can say bro really did his research 🤝🏾
Agreed!
roho safi!
As a Kenyan we are very welcoming.
Excellent video report. Very positive outlook for Africa
Welcome to my homeland 🇰🇪... Home to all human kind
We🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪 are the Next super power of Africa
May Kenya continue to grow, love from South Africa
It's so sad to see South Africa,Egypt,Nigeria and morrocco fall somewhat out of discussion when it comes to rising economys. But it's good to see Rwanda,Ethopia and Kenya(even though they have alot of debt)rise up.
As a kenyan citizen, thank you for the insight...God bless you ❤❤

Do you know Joseph prince ? I love him ... I hope he comes to Kenya one day
I'm from Kenya, can we swap countries? 🙃
@@dennomuli😂😂😂
Hi, your leader laid a robust foundation.
kenyans are smarter than you.
I am from India. I wish all the best to Kenya.
Fine tuning governance and eradication of corruption would accelerate the pace of Kenya's growth to unprecedented levels. In addition to improving access to capital. Highly educated manpower, top level connectivity and perfect geo location.
I like how most of Africa is developing. All the best wishes from Hungary
I love this kind of positive reporting congratulations to the repoter
Kenya has ONE thing/resource that's outstanding, unique special - its people.
With proper, just and fair leadership who have integrity, who are not corrupt and greedy - Kenya can and will be a Singapore.
Proudly Kenyan 🇰🇪🇰🇪 Hakuna Matata❤
As a Kenyan by birth, I feel proud. The future looks bright.
Singapore is a tiny island on a key shipping route in the most populous part of the world. Only Singapore can do what Singapore does. I wish the very best for Kenya but it has different strengths than Kenya does
Hello people I am from Kenya lots of love from here
When i was a kid, i found a book about Kenya in the school library. Kenya seemed to be a good country based on that book. That was decades ago.
Great feature. Just a correction. The railway is not Chinese funded, it's Chinese built. It's not a grant but a loan
It is Chinese funded AND built
The only thing i may agree about is peace in majority of the counties but claiming Kenya is soon to be the Singapore of Africa is a far fetched dream. We are not yet there, far way to go. In Singapore corrupt people are punished severely . The opposite is in Kenya
Thank you for featuring Kenya❤
Kenya rise! we are happy for you! ❤❤❤
Well said... everything you've reported is spot on..nice work 💯
I can't believe this although I am a Kenyan because the expenses for living Kenya are relatively higher compared to other east African countries
Very high man
From Tanzania our neighbors 🇰🇪. Well done
Kenya next Singapore! though economically better than most of African country but Kenya is not close to be be called next Singapore
It is very practical... It is already the business & logistics hub in the region.
There are pros and cons. I hope Kenya doesn't become a dense mass of concrete and foreign capital like Singapore.
GDP per capita of 1500 vs. 105000 needs wild imagination

hard times and challenges makes great men!!Meru proverbs
There's a saying in Kenya, "even if you are up at 4 am everyday, without connections youre just wasting sleep".......Kenya is only good to foreigners looking to invest but miserable for most locals, resources and opportunities are hoarded by cartels and politicians, the last two generations of youth will not be able to start families let alone work in what they studied............it has led to a silent but potent culture of envy and resentment and avarice that is invisible to outsiders who are looking in, most kenyans when they are alone silently and bitterly ask themselves " why not me"? .......and then comes religion.......
I feel this fastest growing economy news is meant for investors.
Great insights, its only for the whites and Indians..
Love to kanya from Bangladesh ❤❤
Rwanda is next Singapore
Nigeria is next China
Vietnam is next China
Bangladesh next China
Kenya is next Singapore

Everything US solos
Even Bangladesh & Vietnam which were colony and had more brutal war in recent history are growing better than resources rich Africa

in Singapore interest on bonds and bank deposits is tax free , while in Kenya is subject to a 10% withholding tax. Kenya financial hub ? I doubt it.

That one is indeed our ONLY problem
The greatest challenge/problem is the foundation ?? Let's join hands together and rebuild our nation
Kenya is Economic Hub in Africa
Why do all african vloggers and content creators flock to kenya to boost their subscribers base??,,,,
Because Kenya is the technological hub of Africa and the fastest developing country in the world
Coz we has kenyans use most of our time on internet,
Many kenyans have internet so companies actually pay for online ads to gain more customers. Also data is cheaper so longform content is consumed much more than other many African countries. Very tech saavy group actually, they try
They realised that kenyans react positively when praised

Politicians are our weakest link but our resilience as a people is impeccable as Kenyans. Hakuna Matata
Where few politicians control the huge wealth of the country
infact. Thieves. Not even politicians
This is an assumption. Corporates are the powerhouse.
The new constitution has made it difficult to just take away public funds and enrich yourself without dire consequences. Many politician accounts are frozen. We thank God for tremendous strides in our Judiciary. Very independent.

But Ruto is. He might be the biggest saboteur of Kenyan dreams
@@patriot_2022give the guy the benefit of doubt. Uncle Bill is not all that clueless.
@@portiaaudi4406 Oh I seriously hope he isn't. Because it will be very sad for us.
But so far not so good.
Wait, $800 Million in venture capital funding for an entire country in a year is enough to beat SA, Nigeria, Egypt and match Kenya? Damn. Really puts into perspective how massive just a single Unicorn is. Forget Decacorns. I guess Indian startups really are awash in money, with 5 decacorns and Gods know how many Unicorns. And Chinese and Americans have even larger startup ecosystems.

A country to reckon with . East Africa can not be seen as separate entities devided by lines drawn to create comparative grounds of contention ;we're a great African family .
