Crossbell Arc in 11 Minutes (Trails from Zero/Trails of Azure)

  • A quick summary of the general events that happened during the Crossbell Arc (Trails from Zero and Trails of Azure). This video is a little bit different from the other two summaries in that I tried to give a little bit more detail in what happened since the game isn't readily available in the west. The points mention will be broad events that I consider important to understanding the context from which the story takes place. As such, I will be excluding a lot of characters and also excluding a lot of details with the characters I do cover. The game has deep narratives that just can't be covered in a summary video. Since it's a short video I also tried to keep the video under 10 minutes with 5 minutes allocated to explain each game but failed.

      I just finished the duology yesterday and to me the sequel is hardcore especially some bosses example, you must defeat this boss in 5 minutes real time! Yes they give you timer to defeat this boss and this boss is bulk and broken (but you can just chip damage and time out it but the bonus though). Or the last boss who can reset time if you let the mob around him absorbed and then second phase if you chip damage to like 20% hp left it's just nuke the game and game over and you have to fight it again when it's health is bulky and tanky!
      But... The game is worth it, i enjoy the ride and i wish find a game in other emulator like PS1 and PSP...

    Soooo
    What was te point of the Crossbell part ?? What were ouroboros trying to get in Crossbell ??
    Just to retrieve on of the Bells , to awake the Nameless one in erebonia ??
    That's what I understand , because the bell tolls are the cause of the gral of erebos and the awakening of the earth beast .
    What about the azure tree ?

    • @JRPGFanatic
      @JRPGFanatic  3 года назад +5

      The Crois family wanted to recreate the Sept-Terrion of Mirage (which was originally under their control) after the original killed itself, and so they created KeA to become that entity. She becomes even more powerful than the original, and is given the title Sept-Terrion of Zero. The Azure Tree is an extension of KeA.
      Ouroboros' goal was to help the Crois in Crossbell in order to awaken the Sept-Terrions in Erebonia as part of the phantasmal blaze plan, which is step two of the orpheus plan (largely unknown what the purpose/goal is). I don't remember all the details of the plans but have been meaning to go back and look at it... eventually.

    • @victorparedes2319
      @victorparedes2319 3 года назад +2

      @@JRPGFanatic yep I remember that an enforcer said " use the hollow phantasm to awaken the blaze " .
      The part that I didn't understand is what exactly was ouroboros trying to achieve / retrieve .
      If what you said ( I have readed that in some forums as well) , then it means that the Azure tree was necessary to awaken Argres ?
      But how are those 2 things related ?
      That's why I came to the conclusion ( within myself and guided by my understanding) , that ouroboros wanted any of the Bells , because when mariabelle channelled the power of the Bells inside KeA, we can see in 3 out of the 4 bells, so those are maybe part of their interests , specially the stargazers tower's Bell.
      So the cooperative plan between the Crois and ouroboros was something like this :
      Ouroboros will be helping them in their goal to summon the Azure tree , and the demiourgos, in exchange on gaining access to the stargazers tower's Bell, now "charged" with enough power thanks to KeA.
      But when Osbourne took their phantasmal blaze plan , he invaded Crossbell and took that Bell to Erebonia, that same Bell will be then used in the final chapter of CS3, with all the Argres issue .
      Hehe I would love to read your further comments, and thanks a lot for replying.
      Also, I apologize if my English isn't that good, I'm from latin america .

    Man... I appreciate the intent, but... This really isn't good enough. You gloss over too much stuff. Really important stuff. I know summarizing Kiseki is hard, but you should have at least mentioned Rixia, what Ourobouros was REALLY doing in Crossbell (Azure-Zero Project) and you should have definitely mentioned the whole Timeline thing. Because it WILL be important. Hajimari is pretty much pivoting on that.

    • @JRPGFanatic
      @JRPGFanatic  4 года назад +2

      Yeah, I understand where you're coming from but the purpose was just to give an overview of what happened in Crossbell so players have a background when they get into CS3/CS4, not Hajimari. I know nothing about Hajimari except that it exists and want to keep it that way until I can actually play it.
      Ouroboros was excluded because it was excluded in the CS1/CS2 recap I did which is also connected to this. It's too much to explain for a video I wanted to keep under 10 minutes. Their roles were more in the shadows anyway. Their Phantasmal Blaze Plan would be better explained in a separate video just focusing on that since it involves both Crossbell and Erebonia. Rixia was also excluded because removing her didn't affect the understanding of the events in Crossbell that lead up to its annexation.
