  • A juror who convicted Alex Murdaugh on Thursday told ABC News in an exclusive interview that the piece of evidence which convinced him the disgraced lawyer was guilty, was the cellphone video placing him at the scene minutes before the murders of his wife and son.
    "I was certain it was [Murdaugh's] voice," Craig Moyer, a carpenter, said as he recalled the background voice he heard during his first watch of the video captured by Murdaugh's son. The video was taken at the family's dog kennels by Paul Murdaugh, 22, who later that night was brutally murdered along with his mother Margaret, 52.

    How does one convict when SLED did not do their job? It truly *AMAZES* me that this *NUT* of a juror did not consider that DNA, foot/fingerprints, hair samples, etc are *EXTREMELY* important and also *_IMPERATIVE_* when investigating a crime scene. One needs to rule out everyone else before convicting a man that was charged with murder. This is a great example of how innocent people end up in prison and then later released by DNA. I don't know who murdered Maggie and Paul, but they sure did *NOT* prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Murdaugh did. I hope his conviction is reversed on appeal, then the State can try again.

    So, in six weeks the prosecution couldn't convince those 3 jurors that Murdaugh was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt ... But 9 fellow jurors could do it in 45 minutes? I guess they should have been at the prosecution's table instead of those 15 ganged up there.

    My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims of AM. There are many heroes in this tragedy. Mandy Matney and FITSNEWS for their extensive investigative reporting also shld not be forgotten. They uncovered more in 4yrs than anyone else had in decades. Including those who work for the agencies that ignored every red flag that came across their desk. If just 1 person from Palmetto Bank, if 1 suspicious officer, law partner, if just 1 person in the last 20yrs acted lives could’ve been saved. Watching this interview also left me wondering if the jury is offered any assistance like counseling they may need after viewing all this evidence, it has to had a traumatic impact for those women and men🙏🏽💜

    If a murderer was on Paul's phone minutes before the murder , why would he LEAVE the phone-ah .
    This man was found guilty out of jealousy and for other crimes that he committed , not murder . Maybe I don't have the facts on the minutes between the kennels and when he left to visit the mom . Where were the two rifles used . In his hands when he was at the kennels ?!?! Hidden so he could find them ?! ?!

He admitted that he lied bc especially as an attorney he knew being on the video would incriminate him . I want to think thar he left and I think that someone else was there .

      The questionable behavior for me was getting Buster back into law school over and above finding out who killed his wife and child. A BRAIN SCAN WOULD PROVE PSYCOPATHY - NO ACTIVITY IN AREA RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPASSION AND EMPATHY . It would support, not prove , but support guilt.
      But everyone has their own way to grieve . He might have been blocking it out and focusing on something else .

    Thank goodness that they didn't voir dire the jurors individually as its obvious this guy is a hillbilly. Would not have been my choice of a juror, but thats South Carolina for ya, voir dire is VERY informal, whereas in my State, both the Defense and Prosecution get to ask individual questions to each potential juror and can take days to pick a jury. Obviously, this guy didn't understand the definition of EVIDENCE, because there was no evidence that proves Murdaugh pulled the trigger.

    • @janalva171
      @janalva171 Год назад +5

      You call someone a "hillbilly", but you spell *voir dire* incorrectly (twice). Priceless. And, note: the burden on the prosecution is to prove Murdaugh's guilt "beyond reasonable doubt". A jury of his peers believed that the prosecution did so, and convicted him. In addition, the judge, in denying the defense's request for a mistrial, says, "......the evidence of guilt is overwhelming". The defense has stated that they will file an appeal. Maybe they'll do their voir dire differently. Or their (ahem) *vior dire*...... as some would have it.
