@@lonely_lucifer4770 yep, underbite is the opposite of overbite . underbite means your bottom layer of teeth are bigger than your top layer , so i can't put my top teeth infront of my bottom teeth

Hi everyone I used to have an overbite I was young. Got braces at 10 and removed at 15. It was indeed a long journey but I love my teeth now 🥰 they’re straight so don’t lose hope

It’s sad to say I suck my thumb so it pulls my teeth back and I get bullied for a problem my parents didn’t stop when I was young
I have been biting my nails my whole life- and recently was able to stop the habit. Try to break the habit as best you can yourself. It takes about 30 days to break but I believe in you!
how i got an overbite was putting my tongue against my teeth and pushing the teeth i used to do it when i was younger

Look up mewing or orthotropics. Should help you fix it before you need braces and allow your face to develop correctly.
Honestly I hate my side view because my cheekbones are too big and I have an overbite. I love how I look front on because im more feminine and my jaw is smaller. If I get my overbite fixed my jaw is gonna be too long and I'll look shitty.

I have overbite teeth or deep bite I got braces since 24 until 29 years old my teeth is not exactly perfect but it was improved more way better than before.

is there any guideline around the size of an over bite in mm that’s too severe for invisalign to fix?
From my personal experience and research I have done:
If your are an adult and have severe overbite (of the jaw,+ of the teeth) , then invisalign can't fix jaw misalignment.
If your jaw is still developing (as happens in children until ~ 18 yrs old) then it can fix also jaw misalignment.
If your jaw is okay, but just the teeth need get straight to fix the overbite, then invisalign can help.
My personal experience: I was 27 yrs old when I got invisalign. I had overbite from teeth and also my upper jaw way to forward (7 mm). My doctor said the invisalign will fix both. But it didn't! My teeth got straight, but my jaw didn't even move 1 mm.
So, I did my research, I asked different doctors, changed my doctor and now I got braces again , will have them for 10 months because seems like some of my back teeth weren't corrected properly, and then I will have a jaw surgery because my upper jaw is 7 mm forward (when normally should be 2-3 mm)

my overbite doesn’t look super bad on the surface but my teeth are actually far apart because i used to suck my thumb :/
but i’m going to an assessment for invisalign in january so hopefully i’ll get the all clear 🤞

You can calculate it your self. O got 49 aligners and I have to wear each for 2weeks that makes 686 days which are 1.9y., before I get my retainers

Hey. I know I’m kinda late but maybe I can help.
There is an option of porcelain braces that aren’t visible unless you have visible colors that you choose.
If you’re self conscious about braces that’s what I’d recommend.
I to have a very bad overbite and I’m getting orthodontic treatment soon. Invisalign offers rubber bands for more serious overbites but if you end up with braces you can always get clear ceramic braces

I had a 13 mm overbite, so I could also fit my thumb in it. I started out with a herbst brace (at least that’s what it’s called here). They’re metal rods attached to some screws that are glued to your canines and they help move your jaw forward. I had that for about a year, and after that I had regular brackets and elastics for two more years. I don’t know about your situation, but perhaps that’s a solution for you as well, if you’re looking to avoid surgery. My teeth have been fine for about two years now, but I’m starting out notice them shift back a bit, which is why I’m looking into Invisalign😊

The front of my bottom teeth touches the back off my top teeth and 3/4 of my bottom teeth are covered. Will Invisalign fix that?

You should get braces and stop boxing for a bit.
You can still use a mouthgard over your braces if thats what youre worried about
Braces will just hurt like crazy if u get punched in the mouth but you can still box with a mouthguard

hey everyone i have overbite and i talked to my orthodontist she said that im going to wear invisilne for 10 months then braces and when im gonna be 17 im gonna go get surgery and i am really happy for this journey and now im wearing invisalign for 2 months now :)

This is late but if you get government health insurance for free they cover all kids under 19 for orthodontic work.
I did had an overbite when I was a kid and when I put braces it became better for a few and I was using invisalign then it returned back and I don’t know what I should do it’s been 2 years now since I took my braces off 😥

I use invisalign as retainers but I don’t feel that it’s effective and I changed it twice because it broke
