С Японии купил детали двигателя и начну собирать в новогодние праздники, потом покраска, ремонт тормозов и прочее прочее. Посмотрим, что получится. ))) Добра вам и успехов в работе. Молодцы парни!

LS430UL … best lux car I’ve owned. Ive owed three LS430 IMO the UL is the best car Lexus has ever built. Certainly better than any Benz or Bentley all things considered for practical long dist. Hassle free driving in particular. Low stress engine = high reliability. Just do scheduled service on time
I won't be needing this anytime soon. 170,000 miles no oil consumption .10-15 thousand mile oil vhange (Amsoil signature series) runs perfect with decent mpg. 30 on highway.

Hello. I have a problem with the car, but there is no master to find the problem. Lexus LS 460 2008 year 4.6 engine. There is sound in the engine It makes a lok-lok-lok sound on the collector, then it stops and comes back after 1-2 seconds. It goes on like this. The sound seems to come and go, as if something is knocking in the engine. I have shown it to all the engine masters, and there is no one who says the exact problem and stands by what he said. One is a collector One is Venus One is val cladis Someone else, Porshen, says every master word. The engine is working mechanically, that sound is the sound of something mechanical. It was necessary to listen to that sound and find out the exact problem by the craftsman. Did any of the craftsmen who looked at this model, this engine, encounter this sound?
😮I don't mind car technologies evolving to beautiful electric cars but I'm unsure they prioritise sustainability and durability for the consumers - electric cars don't seem to focus on overall lifetimes enjoyment for the customers. We are expected to upgrade or replace the car in 5 years just like our mobile phones get upgraded in as little as 2 - 3 years. How do we ensure that these cars are not another money pit?
Единственное что могу добавить - у Вас на видео "Чудо" японского автопрома. Я 6 лет владею японским автомобилем с 2GR-FE. Ломалось все что только можно. 3 раза умерал этот легендарный мотор, а 31.12.2023 сдохла коробка. И все эти радости на пробеге 162.000 км. Электрика дерьмо, краска рыжая, мотор мертвый, коробка дерьмо. Это самый худший автомобиль из всех шести что у меня были.

@GSP-76 the metal parts don't really fail unless you're putting then under a lot of pressure (big turbo) it's the valves and springs and belts that go out so by re-milling the existing stuff and adding new peripheral parts it will easily be able to crank out a few hundred thousand more miles
But my question is: does it make this car a new one or just an overhauled old car? Because the amount of labor and efforted invested in this overhaul was equivalent to making a brand-new VS Lexus LS430 except for the shell and chassis. Anyway, as somebody said " piece of true Japanese craftmanship. Anyhow, I enjoyed their industry and craftmanship in this overhaul exercise
Labor is cheap in China. I can have my car shipped back there from North America and have it rebuilt from the chassis to the drivetrain, and it's still cheaper than any head gasket job in North America. Auto service shops in North America are just a bunch of idiots charging $130 per hour and absolutely don't know what they're doing.
Over there it's dirt cheap to rebuild one. Not sure why they did liners, unless it had broken rings. The biggest killer of this engine is the Timing belt and water pump. If the belt breaks and two of the valves are out which there will be, interference engine, valves are snapped off and the piston has no where to go, makes a nice door in the cylinder. Over here it's cheaper to get a JDM engine. I own a LS 430. Bought it for $250. Replaced it with the last year engine 2006 had 10k on it. JDM. These are complete engines.

Все дело в изначальном качестве блока. Например, у корейцев блоки мягкие, гильзовка долго ( речь про пару тройку лет) не ходит.

That engine is a 4.7 v8 that thing will easily go another 300-500k miles. One of the most reliable engines ever built.

Electric cars are good for short trips that's it. Hybrids are actually much better. Gas isn't going away anytime soon.
