This all started when the Wii version came out, and I was speed-running Hell. I became frustrated (like ya do) and decided to switch over to the Wii music to see what Running Hell sounded like. Like every one of the new songs it was rather atrocious. So I decided to do my own remake of the OST. I started with Running Hell, and kinda never stopped.
You'll notice I didn't do too much "remixing" of the existing material, because let's face it... The OST was near sonic perfection as-is... I did what I felt at the time, and I'm rather pleased with how it all played out. You'll also notice there are no fade-outs. I don't do fade-outs. They've always made songs sound unfinished to me.

Your versions of the songs capture their feel more than any other set of reproductions, including the official ones. You keep the feel of the song very well, but you expand upon it just enough to keep it fresh.

This is what Pixel had in mind when Creating Running Hell. Best Remix of yours or any others. Wii version should use this as a role model.
Unfortunately the download link to the full album is broken now, but I listened to all of the songs you put on youtube and I can say that this is an excellent recomposition and it's a shame that it's so underrated. You did an amazing job at remastering it and improving it while also keeping the charm and feel of the original. If you still have the full album you should upload it, I would love to listen to the rest of the tracks!
it's worth it for the mixing, and mastering alone. all of the youtube tracks are raw early release previews. i'll see about rehosting the album tomorrow somewhere, and updating the links

i actually enjoyed the wiiwares music more than the original..i guess 16 bit whatever themes sound better to me than 8 bit..? but this remix beats BOTH of them!! :D
