Yeah I chuckled when I seen Nathanos' reaction. But I thought for sure Saurfang was going to lose his shit. But then again he's old school so no matter what he thinks right at that point he felt it wasn't his place to question her order so he just walked away. But Nathanos you knew Sylvanas was losing her temper when you seen his reaction. You know when the bad asses of the bad asses look scared someone done messed up.
As someone who has played Alliance, primarily, for the past 12 years, I was hoping for something better than Garrosh 2.0 from Sylvannas. My condolences.
They couldn't even do it well is what's really upsetting. One of my favorite characters from the beginning is now being made into a genocidal bad guy, and they can't even make the transformation believable. Wish they'd have made Saurfang or Rexxar warchief and left Syl alone.
I’m not without hope just yet. Blizzard knows they risk losing about 1/3 of current subscribers if they mess this up. Either they are the most predictable hacks in storytelling, or they have one hell of a plot twist coming up at some point in the next two years.

I am really hoping there is more to it that we havent seen yet. I do like Sylvanas, but I dislike this act, however look at the quest leading up to it... We didnt slaughter everyone, we saved people.
The worst thing about it is that Blizzard provided a perfectly good explanation, but you can only learn about it if you read the accompanying novels. The game and the cinematics don't explain shit, and so people get away with the impression that she did it just to spite that one elf. Which is complete nonsense, obviously. The burning of the tree was a direct consequence of Saurfang failing to kill Malfurion.

She is not a hero... She is the product of hate and sorrow... a being that exists only to revenge, and that won't care how deep she has to fall to accomplish her goals... She-is-not the nice guy of the story. But, unlike Illidan, she is not there to protect anything, for she thinks there's nothing left to protect. Illidan may have been neither the nicest guy... but at least he fought to protect something, that's why at least he is considered an Anti-hero, Sylvannas in the other hand... well... And this is not a garrosh 2.0... Garrosh is a char that genuinely went from a rash, yet honorable warrior, to a crazy warmonger... it was more understandable that people where upset at the twist of character he had... but Sylvannas... she has never been a nice, honorable anything (i mean since after Arthas killed her)
jaina out of all the npc has the most reasons to go all bat shit but, in the end shes not stupid she will probably have a big part in this expansion finally, on the other hand miss emo queen there was the obvious suspect, unthinking and rash she went off the rails and divided the horde and burned out a formidable bargaining chip for her cause, if only she didnt lose sight of the initial plan and killed malfurion instead of just walking away, and kept the tree has a resource then she would actually be a little more well placed for the coming war.
2 good points, here are my thoughts about it: 1 - She didn't kill Malfurion for a couple reazons: Because she wanted Saurfang to do it personaly, to get his hands bloody. That's why she leaves. If she stays, it would still mean less. If she leaves and he kills Malfurion, Saurfang could not argue that he was following orders and that his warchief was just there, waiting for he to complete his task. BUT in the case she leaves, and he dosen't kill him, then she can brand Saurfang as a traitor... and get rid of him. Saurfang is a pilar of honor, a bastion that represent all the good things horde... an obstacle for her machinations... So, if he dosen't do as she order him, she has an advantage there, to later kick him out. Also! If Saurfangs kills Malfurion alone, the Alliance hate would be totaly directed on him... Sylvannas is all ways of cunning, she plots well in advance, and she is kind of a coward, she uses others to do her dirty work. 2 - I think it was kinda convenient how all the catapults were already pointed towards Teldrasil... and loaded with Azerite bombs...Don't you think? That's because her plan was to burn the tree all along. An attack of the magnitude needed to burn the whole tree whole can't be pulled in 2 seconds because you get all pissed towards a soldier... You need to have the weapons ready, AND the ammo. And like the elf said, she had already won... And just to finish here... i been thinking... what if this war is just the first step of a much bigger plan? She said : Life is pain, and againm the elf said "You made life your enemy"... What if Sylvannas is plotting to realy kill everybody in the planet and turn them into undeads enslaved to her will? Remember, she said that too in the comic... it may actualy be true....
Just THANK YOU. It's nice to see at least one person from this crowd who knows Lore. It is a pity that the players are not interested in Lore, and play for the Horde only for the reason that it is "brutal."

Nah man, most of us hordies are glad the tree burned, and I also wish saurfang finished off malfurion. the tree hippies were always a bother, and now their tree is gone just like undercity will be. What Sylvanas did was the work of a warchief that wants to rule over Kalimdor, not like a weakling priest who hides from conflict. Vol'Jin wouldve been a great chieftain, but sylvanas is one of the best ones to replace him. Only one who could've been better would've been Saurfang.
My first thought was of the rise of fascist leaders. They rise to power with the help of the people only to commit atrocities like this in the name of their ideology. Sylvanas is an ambitious leader who thinks she's doing what is best for her people, but in truth is a monster. Every antagonist thinks they're the hero of their own story. I can't help but wonder if horde players are intended to feel conflicted about this, almost as if rocking the foundation of the faction now be nothing like what will happen to the alliance. Never underestimate a storytellers sadistic nature. We love to punish our readers, but then conflict is what drives any story.
It seems, whether she knows it or not, she's still carrying on the old Lich King's will: To exterminate all life on Azeroth. I could be wrong, but that's what it appears to be to me.
It's literally what she is now. If anyone doesn't know yet, that nightelf in the cinematic is the captain the alliance side quests with throughout the scenario in parts 1 and 2. She is essentially Sylvanas' nightelf equivalent facing the same scenario Sylvanas faced when her home was sacked by Arthas.
I think this expansion ending without Sylvanas' death would be a massive cop out. There's no way Saurfang isn't gonna become warchief I just hope the precursor to that is Sylvanas dying and not another Garrosh/Grom situation. The only thing I would accept other than her death is becoming the Lich Queen, given she's basically already become everything she hated about Arthas.

Also (as I said to a guildie): Sylvanas burning the tree was SO obvious that a plot twist was too obvious. It was a double twist. Now we wait to see what happens with Sylvanas. Here's hoping she does something to redeem herself, turns the horde over to saurfang, and goes wandering into the sunset leaving Nathanos in charge of the forsaken, showing up for major questlines in the future. I'm really going to be upset if this ends with her dead or still like.. this.

I think her goal is to make everyone Undead! but Voljin put her in charge because the spirit were telling him to. I don't think its bad writting something will probably happen with the old god and it will kind of make her look better.
The narrative wasn't as good but the whole fighting Warchief dynamic didn't happen till MoP with a build up in Cata. One has to wonder if Chris for-the-horde- Metzen was still here, would he destroy the soul of the Horde that way.
No gloating, but my question is where are all the cooler heads. Did the Blood Elves think raining fiery death and destroying an elven homeland was a good idea? What about the Pandaren who only fight for home and family? Where were they in a fight for neither? The Horde has a habit of not confronting their leaders, especially on questionable decisions.
Rahsaan Footman the horde are notorious for doing things without even telling the others, that is except the Taurens. But when the alliance attacked innocent workers I believe all the alliance leaders knew about that? I can't remember 100% but I believe they did.
This wasn't what was agreed upon by the horde lol. They were okay with capturing the tree but not burning it. She burns the tree out of spite on a whim because she's angry. I don't know where the other leaders are but I would imagine this wouldnt have happened had they been there.

Garrosh 2.0 everyone, now with extra crazy and malice. I'm very much Alliance but even I think the Horde deserve a break from losing Warchiefs or just simply getting full on insane and/or evil ones. Not that I had high hopes for Sylvanas in that respect but I mean come on, Blizzard, at a certain point you're just kicking the Horde players while they're down.
Horde > Thrall (Alive) > Garrosh (dead) > Vol'jin (dead) > Sylvanus Alliance > Bolvar (LK) > Varian (dead) > Anduin .... so, the Horde has 1 more high leader death than the Alliance; which isn't a huge deal.
Idk there are a ton of innocent people in org. The tauren at least are the most peaceful of the horde races when it comes to faction interaction. Though I wouldn't shed a tear if sylvanis was gone. She was a turd since wc3. My only complaint would be again replacing warchiefs and recycling a story from what 2010?

Well come on, Sylvanas is literally "The Dark Lady". She's straight up the darkest most sinister character in the series. She has her own agenda and the horde is her tool. Yeah she played along during Legion for the greater good, but now it's time to go to war and its ugly. I'm interested to see how far this goes.
I play both sides, but I'm primarily an Alliance player. That being said, I do not believe that the Horde are the bad guys. Sylvanas, yes, but not the faction as a whole. This hurts, obviously, but I do think it makes for a really interesting story for Horde players and their characters. Do you follow your Warchief at all costs? What does it mean to be For the Horde? Is this war in the interests of the Horde, or just Sylvanas? My Horde toon is a Tauren Druid, so this whole storyline has been heartbreaking for me from that perspective.

I'm Alliance, but I agree, the Horde deserve to get a Warchief that doesn't just die or turn out to be a complete homicidal nutjob. She's giving Garrosh a good run for his money in the "being a complete dick" department.
The Horde cannot be redeemed, their actions rely on the warchief. You can have an honorable one like Thrall and peace might have a chance, but put in a weakling or a maniac like Sylvanas and all bets are off.
How nobody saw this coming? she was this evil since the beginning of WoW... she always acted in a selfish way, joined the Horde for convenience, developed a more powerful plague behind the warchief eyes (a plague that later would be used by Putress to exterminate as much Horde as Alliance members), attacked Gilneas without previous provocation (killing its heir to the throne in the proccess) slaughtered innocent humans of Hillsbrad Foothills just to bring them back to life to serve her... and so on... she was an interesting character during warcraft 3, but since wow released she is being like she is in this video, an evil flat minded generic comic villain...

Mr. Boling _ Garrosh fit the spirit of the Horde far more than Sylvanas. She's just pure evil at this point. She's like an evil dictator that rules with fear like Kim Jong. At least Garrosh had a sense of warriors honor. But all those who follow Sylvanas completely understand are just as evil as her. I hope there is a civil war among the Horde. Maybe Sylvanas will become a third more evil faction and disband from the Horde.

Well... who do you prefer next? Saurfang or Baine Bloodhoof? Saurfang would be a return to the traditional Horde ways while Bloodhoof would be a more fitting successor to Vol'jin. Personally, while I like Saurfang, I'd love to see Bloodhoof get the chance to instill more of the Tauren ways into the Horde as a whole.
The game is called warcraft. Not peacecraft with Baine as war chief. The horde and alliance would get along. I could only see that happening if Blizz decides to end the conflict between the 2 factions for good and have them always team up to fight the greater threat. Like they do every 2 expansions before fighting each again.

"Were". Vordrassil was corrupted by Yogg'Saron and is in pieces. Nordrassil is alive but still massively weakened from Archimonde and Legion events. Teldrassil was never blessed by the aspects which is why it was purple. So we have 1, weak tree left

Sigh, why did blizzard have to just crumple another horde character like this: 1: We have the most meaningless leaders going, besides Sylvanas, Thrall and Vol'jin, compared to the Alliance who have Genn, Tyrande, Anduin, Magni, Velen, who are all so much cooler lore wise imo, and certainly don't die to trash mobs... 2: Vol'jin dies to a bloody trash mob of all things 3: Thrall goes, nah mate cant wield this hammer anymore soz, so hes now just an orc ghandi. 4: Every expac turns the horde inside out, and the alliance remain unscaved...besides Varian and a baby faced king that likes to class switch, but ya know, I don't think that's comparable. 5: Now lazy writing once again kills off Horde spirits, like why?'

Anduin already did that in Legion, where Greymane openly attacked the Warchief of the Horde. That's a large part of what led to the war, in the first place. Greymane started it.
No honey I am not enjoying your distress. I am not enjoying seeing the Dark Lady reach this point of evil I've never seen in her. Of course you wouldn't think it was Sylvanas who burned the world tree. You love her. I love her. But she orders the burning. For whatever motivation she orders it. I've been sad over the BfA since first hearing it. I play both factions and have love on both sides. Though as you are a Horde-leaning human, I am at my core Alliance-leaning. I don't want this war. Was Legion not enough sorrow? Enough loss?

I'm alliance 100%...but I always had a sense of respect for the Horde. Even though I thought the Horde was pretty heavy handed, they always acted with honor, and that, I respected. This is just unbelievable...or, just evil. Of all of the leaders of the Horde, I always thought that either Vol'Jin or Salvanas would make the best. Guess I was wrong. I feel sorry for the Horde players that have to somehow find validity in what she has done, the killing of thousands of innocent civilians, but not quite sure how you are going to do that...and the Horde druids, sorry.
While I do see your point of Bwonsamdi being a loa and probably hating the undead for “stealing” his souls, wouldn’t it be cool to see him as a faction leader. Perhaps he strikes some sort of deal with Sylvanas and the Valkyrie.
There is only one True Warchief, Thrall. When Sylvanas was turned into a banshee, the Undead corruption took what she was(back in Warcraft 3). It was a Matter of time before she revealed herself, as warchief she would use the horde for her agenda, in the end it was the undead theme since vanilla.
I think it was interesting that, given Sylvanas’ history, the Horde’s attack on Teldrassil mirrored almost precisely the Scourge’s attack on Silvermoon. The relentless advance, the use of poisons in place of the Scourge’s plague, the killing of innocents. Something Panzer might not see is that after the cinematic, the Alliance players arrive in Darnassus as it is burning, and are given a quest to evacuate 900+ civilians, and are given just 3 minutes to do it. Of course it’s impossible, and the desperate despair of trying to clear a city we’ve had since the game began, while the air is smoke-filled and the fires rage, is a very real feeling. Additionally, some of the NPCs call for help, including one wrenching example of a woman begging for our help to find her child. We never do before we’re forced to retreat through a portal.

I think the horde playerbase has become weak. Do you people not remember what the horde is? "I can't believe the warchief did war things. OMG #notmywarchief". Wipe away those tears then go turn on war mode and start stacking bodies. Get it together horde.
Expect you remember that part of the horde that has always held honor? Every war-chief has been honorable in some regard. Even before he jumped off the deep end, Garrosh actually killed one of his generals for bombing a sacred grove filled with night elf civilians and non-combatants. He straight up doled out final punishment for daring to do something so dishonorable; and while stress eventually pushed him towards total war, him, thrall, and vol'jin have always held to honorable ideas in terms of war. Garrosh jumped on the ass of the forsaken for darning to use plague back in cata leveling zones, thinking that it was a disgrace to the horde to cause mass genocide with bio-weapons. Hell even theramore wasn't totally in his control when it got bombed, he didn't quite know how powerful said bomb would be beforehand. And then form there they just kinda made him more and more bloodthristy for no real reason other than they didn't want to have a final predictable raid vs the old gods, which the whole of MoP had been setting up. All of this is coming from an alliance main player too. I am with the alliance, but I could always respect the horde even when we disagreed. When Vol'jin made Sylvanas warchief I had wondered in what direction this new leadership would go in, and by the end of leigon it was a resounding 'nowhere, Sylvanas is apparently cleaning up her act and not committing atrocities', but fuck it all if they didn't just double back around to making her a new Garrosh-clone. I had actively hoped it was Greymane or Jaina who lit the fire as a true excuse to take back lorderon and push the horde out of the eastern kingdoms for good; I was looking forwards to some sorta 'Both sides are dubious during the acts of war.' but instead Blizzard copped out and just made another 'Evil warchief' that we will be forced to kill or dethrone by the end of the expansion.

She even went as far as to burn the tree out of pettiness because she lost a verbal disagreement with someone who was dying. Like Camp Taurajo? Teldrassil was given ample time to evacuate. Kaldorei leadership chose to wait until the last moment. They knew it was coming and they stayed.

They did not, actually. Sylvanas planned to invade the tree and Darnassus initially, occupying it and using its residents as bargain. Not killing all of them. Deciding to burn them all down was a salty reaction to that night elf.

This is the exact same thing as when the alliance let the High Elves get slaughtered by the Lich King, they didn’t send help when they asked. 90% of the High Elves were wiped out and most of the remaining ones (which wasn’t much) called themselves Blood Elves and practiced arcane magic to defend themselves against the scourge. The alliance never helped them so they turned to the Horde. The alliance deserves this, a genocide a revenge that all Blood Elves were waiting for (and the Horde). And especially a genocide on the Night Elces because they abandoned they High Elves to lick some ass of Moon Goddes who didn’t save anyone of the Night Elves so jokes on you, you should’ve stayed a High Elves because all those powers and Gods didn’t help you when Sylvanas came to your borders and burned your tree and your people.

But then again he's old school so no matter what he thinks right at that point he felt it wasn't his place to question her order so he just walked away. As someone who has played Alliance, primarily, for the past 12 years, I was hoping for something better than Garrosh 2.0 from Sylvannas. My condolences.
They couldn't even do it well is what's really upsetting. One of my favorite characters from the beginning is now being made into a genocidal bad guy, and they can't even make the transformation believable. Wish they'd have made Saurfang or Rexxar warchief and left Syl alone.
I’m not without hope just yet. Blizzard knows they risk losing about 1/3 of current subscribers if they mess this up. Either they are the most predictable hacks in storytelling, or they have one hell of a plot twist coming up at some point in the next two years.

The game and the cinematics don't explain shit, and so people get away with the impression that she did it just to spite that one elf. Which is complete nonsense, obviously. Ok, i've lost count how many times i've said this before but... to all those people that though Sylvannas was some kind of hero: Why?... Do you even lore?! I am so proud of being a fan of Warcraft since the RTS, an have personaly played tru Warcraft 2 and 3 and WoW from its beginning. And anyone that has actualy played the games, and payed a minimum of attention to the story, in other words, anyone with a pair of eyes and ears, will tell you, Sylvannas is NOT a good character... She is not a hero... She is the product of hate and sorrow... a being that exists only to revenge, and that won't care how deep she has to fall to accomplish her goals... She-is-not the nice guy of the story. But, unlike Illidan, she is not there to protect anything, for she thinks there's nothing left to protect. Illidan may have been neither the nicest guy... but at least he fought to protect something, that's why at least he is considered an Anti-hero, Sylvannas in the other hand... well...
And this is not a garrosh 2.0... Garrosh is a char that genuinely went from a rash, yet honorable warrior, to a crazy warmonger... it was more understandable that people where upset at the twist of character he had... but Sylvannas... she has never been a nice, honorable anything (i mean since after Arthas killed her)
jaina out of all the npc has the most reasons to go all bat shit but, in the end shes not stupid she will probably have a big part in this expansion finally, on the other hand miss emo queen there was the obvious suspect, unthinking and rash she went off the rails and divided the horde and burned out a formidable bargaining chip for her cause, if only she didnt lose sight of the initial plan and killed malfurion instead of just walking away, and kept the tree has a resource then she would actually be a little more well placed for the coming war.
2 good points, here are my thoughts about it:
1 - She didn't kill Malfurion for a couple reazons: Because she wanted Saurfang to do it personaly, to get his hands bloody. That's why she leaves. If she stays, it would still mean less. If she leaves and he kills Malfurion, Saurfang could not argue that he was following orders and that his warchief was just there, waiting for he to complete his task. BUT in the case she leaves, and he dosen't kill him, then she can brand Saurfang as a traitor... and get rid of him. Saurfang is a pilar of honor, a bastion that represent all the good things horde... an obstacle for her machinations... So, if he dosen't do as she order him, she has an advantage there, to later kick him out. Also! If Saurfangs kills Malfurion alone, the Alliance hate would be totaly directed on him... Sylvannas is all ways of cunning, she plots well in advance, and she is kind of a coward, she uses others to do her dirty work.
2 - I think it was kinda convenient how all the catapults were already pointed towards Teldrasil... and loaded with Azerite bombs...Don't you think? That's because her plan was to burn the tree all along. An attack of the magnitude needed to burn the whole tree whole can't be pulled in 2 seconds because you get all pissed towards a soldier... You need to have the weapons ready, AND the ammo. And like the elf said, she had already won...
And just to finish here... i been thinking... what if this war is just the first step of a much bigger plan? She said : Life is pain, and againm the elf said "You made life your enemy"... What if Sylvannas is plotting to realy kill everybody in the planet and turn them into undeads enslaved to her will? Remember, she said that too in the comic... it may actualy be true....

Nah man, most of us hordies are glad the tree burned, and I also wish saurfang finished off malfurion. the tree hippies were always a bother, and now their tree is gone just like undercity will be. What Sylvanas did was the work of a warchief that wants to rule over Kalimdor, not like a weakling priest who hides from conflict. Vol'Jin wouldve been a great chieftain, but sylvanas is one of the best ones to replace him. Only one who could've been better would've been Saurfang.
My first thought was of the rise of fascist leaders. They rise to power with the help of the people only to commit atrocities like this in the name of their ideology. Sylvanas is an ambitious leader who thinks she's doing what is best for her people, but in truth is a monster. Every antagonist thinks they're the hero of their own story.
I can't help but wonder if horde players are intended to feel conflicted about this, almost as if rocking the foundation of the faction now be nothing like what will happen to the alliance.
Never underestimate a storytellers sadistic nature. We love to punish our readers, but then conflict is what drives any story.
It seems, whether she knows it or not, she's still carrying on the old Lich King's will: To exterminate all life on Azeroth. I could be wrong, but that's what it appears to be to me.

It's literally what she is now. If anyone doesn't know yet, that nightelf in the cinematic is the captain the alliance side quests with throughout the scenario in parts 1 and 2. I think this expansion ending without Sylvanas' death would be a massive cop out. There's no way Saurfang isn't gonna become warchief I just hope the precursor to that is Sylvanas dying and not another Garrosh/Grom situation. The only thing I would accept other than her death is becoming the Lich Queen, given she's basically already become everything she hated about Arthas.

No gloating, but my question is where are all the cooler heads. Did the Blood Elves think raining fiery death and destroying an elven homeland was a good idea? What about the Pandaren who only fight for home and family? Where were they in a fight for neither? The Horde has a habit of not confronting their leaders, especially on questionable decisions.

Well come on, Sylvanas is literally "The Dark Lady". She's straight up the darkest most sinister character in the series. She has her own agenda and the horde is her tool. Yeah she played along during Legion for the greater good, but now it's time to go to war and its ugly. I'm interested to see how far this goes.
I play both sides, but I'm primarily an Alliance player. That being said, I do not believe that the Horde are the bad guys. Sylvanas, yes, but not the faction as a whole. This hurts, obviously, but I do think it makes for a really interesting story for Horde players and their characters. Do you follow your Warchief at all costs? What does it mean to be For the Horde? Is this war in the interests of the Horde, or just Sylvanas? My Horde toon is a Tauren Druid, so this whole storyline has been heartbreaking for me from that perspective.

How nobody saw this coming? she was this evil since the beginning of WoW... she always acted in a selfish way, joined the Horde for convenience, developed a more powerful plague behind the warchief eyes (a plague that later would be used by Putress to exterminate as much Horde as Alliance members), attacked Gilneas without previous provocation (killing its heir to the throne in the proccess) slaughtered innocent humans of Hillsbrad Foothills just to bring them back to life to serve her... and so on... she was an interesting character during warcraft 3, but since wow released she is being like she is in this video, an evil flat minded generic comic villain...

This is what she said back in Frozen Throne campaign: "For some reason I no longer hear the Lich King's voice in my head. My will is my own once again." And in WoTLK while Garrosh, Saurfang and the 7th Legion of the Alliance were fighting and trying to settle their headquarters, she was in the opposite corner of Northrend developing a more powerful plague (which you, the hero, help her to develope), a plague that later would be used (by Putress) in the Wrath Gate battle to kill EVERYONE, not just the Scourge..., you say "she kill the Gilnean prince because he got in the way", don't tell me, she was in Gilneas because she wanted to make friends, right? in the moment the gates came down she tried to destroy, conquer the kingdom and turn their citizens into undeads, xDDD what you say is absurd, also I said "she attacked Gilneas without previous provocation (killing its heir to the throne in the proccess)" I didn't say how the prince was killed so what you say can be true in my argument, if I have to learn about lore you should learn how to read my friend. Simply because she needed more undead... She literally turned into the Lich Queen... I had hoped that she was turning a new Leaf after saving the Horde on the Broken shore....But alas...Good things always die hard.
She attacked Gilneas under orders from Garrosh, because he wanted their port.

Mr. Boling _ Garrosh fit the spirit of the Horde far more than Sylvanas. She's just pure evil at this point. She's like an evil dictator that rules with fear like Kim Jong. At least Garrosh had a sense of warriors honor. But all those who follow Sylvanas completely understand are just as evil as her.
I hope there is a civil war among the Horde. Maybe Sylvanas will become a third more evil faction and disband from the Horde.

Well... who do you prefer next? Saurfang or Baine Bloodhoof? Saurfang would be a return to the traditional Horde ways while Bloodhoof would be a more fitting successor to Vol'jin. Personally, while I like Saurfang, I'd love to see Bloodhoof get the chance to instill more of the Tauren ways into the Horde as a whole.

The game is called warcraft. Not peacecraft with Baine as war chief. The horde and alliance would get along. I could only see that happening if Blizz decides to end the conflict between the 2 factions for good and have them always team up to fight the greater threat. Like they do every 2 expansions before fighting each again.

"Were". Vordrassil was corrupted by Yogg'Saron and is in pieces. Nordrassil is alive but still massively weakened from Archimonde and Legion events. Teldrassil was never blessed by the aspects which is why it was purple. So we have 1, weak tree left

1: We have the most meaningless leaders going, besides Sylvanas, Thrall and Vol'jin, compared to the Alliance who have Genn, Tyrande, Anduin, Magni, Velen, who are all so much cooler lore wise imo, and certainly don't die to trash mobs...
2: Vol'jin dies to a bloody trash mob of all things
3: Thrall goes, nah mate cant wield this hammer anymore soz, so hes now just an orc ghandi.
4: Every expac turns the horde inside out, and the alliance remain unscaved...besides Varian and a baby faced king that likes to class switch, but ya know, I don't think that's comparable.
5: Now lazy writing once again kills off Horde spirits, like why?'

Anduin already did that in Legion, where Greymane openly attacked the Warchief of the Horde. That's a large part of what led to the war, in the first place. Greymane started it.

I've been sad over the BfA since first hearing it. I play both factions and have love on both sides. Though as you are a Horde-leaning human, I am at my core Alliance-leaning. I don't want this war. Was Legion not enough sorrow? Enough loss?

I'm alliance 100%...but I always had a sense of respect for the Horde. Even though I thought the Horde was pretty heavy handed, they always acted with honor, and that, I respected. This is just unbelievable...or, just evil. Of all of the leaders of the Horde, I always thought that either Vol'Jin or Salvanas would make the best. Guess I was wrong. I feel sorry for the Horde players that have to somehow find validity in what she has done, the killing of thousands of innocent civilians, but not quite sure how you are going to do that...and the Horde druids, sorry.

It was a Matter of time before she revealed herself, as warchief she would use the horde for her agenda, in the end it was the undead theme since vanilla.

I think it was interesting that, given Sylvanas’ history, the Horde’s attack on Teldrassil mirrored almost precisely the Scourge’s attack on Silvermoon. The relentless advance, the use of poisons in place of the Scourge’s plague, the killing of innocents. Something Panzer might not see is that after the cinematic, the Alliance players arrive in Darnassus as it is burning, and are given a quest to evacuate 900+ civilians, and are given just 3 minutes to do it. Of course it’s impossible, and the desperate despair of trying to clear a city we’ve had since the game began, while the air is smoke-filled and the fires rage, is a very real feeling. Additionally, some of the NPCs call for help, including one wrenching example of a woman begging for our help to find her child. We never do before we’re forced to retreat through a portal.

Expect you remember that part of the horde that has always held honor? Every war-chief has been honorable in some regard. Even before he jumped off the deep end, Garrosh actually killed one of his generals for bombing a sacred grove filled with night elf civilians and non-combatants. He straight up doled out final punishment for daring to do something so dishonorable; and while stress eventually pushed him towards total war, him, thrall, and vol'jin have always held to honorable ideas in terms of war. Garrosh jumped on the ass of the forsaken for darning to use plague back in cata leveling zones, thinking that it was a disgrace to the horde to cause mass genocide with bio-weapons. Hell even theramore wasn't totally in his control when it got bombed, he didn't quite know how powerful said bomb would be beforehand. And then form there they just kinda made him more and more bloodthristy for no real reason other than they didn't want to have a final predictable raid vs the old gods, which the whole of MoP had been setting up.
All of this is coming from an alliance main player too. I am with the alliance, but I could always respect the horde even when we disagreed. When Vol'jin made Sylvanas warchief I had wondered in what direction this new leadership would go in, and by the end of leigon it was a resounding 'nowhere, Sylvanas is apparently cleaning up her act and not committing atrocities', but fuck it all if they didn't just double back around to making her a new Garrosh-clone. I had actively hoped it was Greymane or Jaina who lit the fire as a true excuse to take back lorderon and push the horde out of the eastern kingdoms for good; I was looking forwards to some sorta 'Both sides are dubious during the acts of war.' but instead Blizzard copped out and just made another 'Evil warchief' that we will be forced to kill or dethrone by the end of the expansion.
Its unbelievable how many people blaimed Jaina, bc "shes fuckn crazy". It's terrible to have a brain that doesn't allow you to think beyond that. Truth is some people are just not capable of seeing the forest for the trees.
I understood Sylvanas & what she felt before & after Arthas. And I know things change people over time.....
She's completely unhinged. She changed her original plan bc she didn't like what she was hearing. Fact is, she got triggered & burnt down THE WORLD TREE. This whole thing is fucked. She wants to live forever, but starts a war. Shit for brains.

rezze for her people? This video made it 110% clear she didn’t attack for her people. She said that she did it out of rage and to bring hopelessness to the night elves. She even went as far as to burn the tree out of pettiness because she lost a verbal disagreement with someone who was dying. That’s sad and pathetic and no where near doing it for her people...even Nathanos hesitated because he realized how petty and ridiculous her actions were.

Like Camp Taurajo? Teldrassil was given ample time to evacuate. Kaldorei leadership chose to wait until the last moment. They knew it was coming and they stayed.

They did not, actually. Sylvanas planned to invade the tree and Darnassus initially, occupying it and using its residents as bargain. Not killing all of them. Deciding to burn them all down was a salty reaction to that night elf.
All HAIL THE BANSHEE QUEEN! This is what the night elves AND the alliance deserve. This is the exact same thing as when the alliance let the High Elves get slaughtered by the Lich King, they didn’t send help when they asked. 90% of the High Elves were wiped out and most of the remaining ones (which wasn’t much) called themselves Blood Elves and practiced arcane magic to defend themselves against the scourge. The alliance never helped them so they turned to the Horde. The alliance deserves this, a genocide a revenge that all Blood Elves were waiting for (and the Horde). And especially a genocide on the Night Elces because they abandoned they High Elves to lick some ass of Moon Goddes who didn’t save anyone of the Night Elves so jokes on you, you should’ve stayed a High Elves because all those powers and Gods didn’t help you when Sylvanas came to your borders and burned your tree and your people.
