Mystic... Casuals... Valor... Instinct. Long ago, the four teams lived together primarily hating dirty casuals. Then everything changed when the Valor idiots attacked. Only Instinct and Mystic, masters of all of the forums, could stop them. But when the world needed them most, they vanished. A few bugged patches passed and the filthy casuals discovered a new wave of Mystic/Instinct teams on forums. And although their Valor suppressing skills are great, they still have a lot to learn before they're ready to save anyone from team Valor. But we must believe they can save the world. every bird has a means to win against the other birds except moltres vs zapdos. Zapdos can just lightning anyone and moltres can burn articuno. But articuno can activate quick claw and use sheer cold to kill ANY pokemon without taking damage (with some luck). and yes I REALLY pissed some friends of mine of with some hax luck like this ;D
How is moltres super effective against zapdos?
I can see what you're saying. Since Zapdos is Electric type, it is super effective against both birds. And Zapdos is already Electric so if someone tries to kill it with lightning, it will be neutralized(Electric is ineffective against Electric, and Electric>Flying)

I'm in team Instinct too, because it's all about improvising, and trusting your instincts. I'm an optimistic person who always thinks that everything will be alright if you just don't worry about it. The second reason why I chose team Instinct is that I really like the color yellow, and my favourite pokemon type is electric. I mean, my favourite pokemons is Raikou, Pikachu, and Zapdos. We may be a small team, but we're a strong one, and we're just not enough people to prove it.

I have a J personality type but I chose Instinct, not because it was the least popular, but because its values spoke to me the most. The values of Mystic and Valor are not really things I care about, but I'm attached to Instinct because it has the most wholesome values.

I chose Instinct because I knew I'd be alone. Everyone in my town is/was Valor or Mystic, but I wanted to show that alone, I could be stronger with them. I wanted to show them that I could beat them, with no allies.

This is really interesting. I remember when picking I was actively trying to avoid picking due to color and outside influences, but I knew I wasn't sure how I actually fit into any of the teams, so I decided if I wanted to work on myself, I wanted to work on trusting my instinct more, so I picked Team Instinct. Not sure if that's weird but I'm enjoying it. I also never played Pokemon previously so...:/ I enjoy PGo though.

Each team could also tie in with the birds and the elements they represent, like fire definitely fits the fundamentals or valor, ice fits mystic well, and electric would fit instinct the most. I am pretty sure the birds were no accident with the types they represented and he could already say the same exact things for why people favor each bird type, making it redundant.

I chose Instinct because, Zapdos is used the most competitively, and has the best stat spread. You see them in OU alot.
This video sums up why I chose Instinct. Personality played a big role in which team I chose and how the teams are portrayed says a lot about the people on them. Valor is energetic and loves the thrill of battle. Mystic is calculated and strategic. Instinct is relaxed and adapts.

Have we forgotten about all the memes associated with team instinct? Any time anyone I know says "Team Instinct", someone dabs. My TEACHERS dab. This is why I'm team instinct. Another reason would be people playing the game not wanting to get into conflict. There's a mystic/valor war, so I just moved on to the other team and loved the meme. (Haha it rhymed!)

Articuno is not water. Moltres is part flying and thats what makes electric super effective. It isnt super effective to fire. And electrics only weakness is ground. But for Zapdos. It isnt effective, it is resistant in real games because part flying type. So its weak to rock and ice.

As an INTP instinct member, this hit close to home. I chose Instinct because both of the other teams seemed too extreme and I just wanted to have fun and play by instinct and without having to plan everything I was doing and instead just playing and enjoying the game. Its one of the reasons I had stopped playing as much because everyone else I was meeting, none of which were Instinct members, were too serious about the game and about winning. I really don't care about winning and care more about if I had fun while playing.

with the "Team" reference, it seems to me that Niantic and Pokemon Company wanted to include this concept, like how aqua and magma competed. But if so, I'm certain the reason why we dont HAVE team rocket and the others, and the team system we do have, is because the developers didn't want to encourage people to take "team rocket" so seriously or at least have people use that as an excuse for criminal activity.

I've always loved Articuno over either of the others so it was an obvious choice for me. I thought the colors that stood behind them, being a pokemon game, were unimportant. Otherwise I would have chosen instinct because I love the color yellow.

If (Ash and) Pikachu were in this game he'd be in team instinct because he's:
-The franchise's mascot (who's yellow)
-Battled Raichus without evolving 'in the name of all Pikachus' (the underdog)
- sometimes improvises mid-battle against stronger opponents especially legendaries (perceiving)
- The well-known pokemon who's never wanted to be in a pokeball, doesn't always do what Ash told him to like all other pokemon and let's not forget about their shocking first meeting (pokemon individuality and free will)

+salem matteis well yeah, but with the whole courage and competitive part of Valors results, and how they work to keep their gyms, the gyms are kinda a representation of their power right? And they strive to keep that power. Therefore, they seem to fit under power a lot more than just courage, in my opinion

I'm an team instinct member and picked it the day it was released, but I honestly picked this team ONLY because the emblem was Zaptos and here is why.
Back in the day when I played the old pokemon red on my gameboy, I would always catch the three legendary birds in each game I played, but out of these three only Zaptos would make it to my team. This was because I already had better fire Pokémon with better movepool from before and there was no need for a ice pokemon. But having a combined lightning and flying pokemon was very efficient and it's stats was also good. So for me it was like, do I choose the team which represent Moltres which I always thought was worse than Charizard, do I choose team that represent Articuno which was which was the pokemon that I never needed, or do I choose the team representing Zaptos which I always used to have in my party back in my childhood?

first reason:
Zapdos is unarguably the best out of all of the 3 birds being ranked in OU while Moltres is barely UU and Articuno is actually in the lowest tier possible due to its shitty typing.
Second reason:
Hatching Pokemon is what really determines their strength.
Breeding Pokemon to get a 5IV or 6IV one is something only professional nolifers like us do to play competetive Pokemon.

2 of my friends choose Instinct purely because of the first reason. They're Vet Pokemon players. While me, who've never played a Pokeman's game before, picked Mystic because I love team blue in anything.

I chose mystic because it's blue and I was on resistance (blue team) in ingress.
I picked valor because i just knew everyone around me would pick mystic when we first started playing. I thought it be smarter since actually getting into a gym was going to be a lot harder when everybody around me is playing for the same team. Turned out that I was right but everything on this video suggest that I should’ve picked mystic which would’ve been my first pick if it wasn’t for the fact that I mentioned
