I’ve been a free to play for a long time and have over 100 shines. Personally being free to play isn’t that bad.
same here almost at 200 hopefully during the 2-5 event today I make it there
why would being not free to play help getting shinies tho? maybe a couple more because every like 20 raids you get one but it really doesnt make any difference except youre a huge spender and just go on raids all day every day
@@No__Vanity You can buy stuff free to play players have to work for like the rocket radar. They can grind for the shiny shadow mons while free to play gotta work for it. Also if you buy stuff for events both irl and in game,you have more opportunities for shiny Pokémon.

Hard to call it Free2Play when the account already has all the item and pokemon space. I still strugle with what to transfer, sell and keep in all my inventories. All the gym coins definitely go to space

Level 38 here, I focused on the Go Battle aspect of Pokemon Go (I mean the raids and shinies are great too) and that made my experience much better because it was somewhat a skill I had to learn besides punching in a credit card number. I love PoGo as f2p

Here’s a tip to do “remote” raids as a f2p player. Find a raid that isn’t too far away, but can’t be accessed. Make sure you have either a premium or free raid pass. Jump out and immediately hop back into the app, then spam the join raid button. It may take a few attempts
PS: the raid must be 200m or less near you
This used to work for me every time like clockwork, but not anymore as of about 2 weeks ago. Guess it depends which android phone/update you have.
Also wanna note that this has never worked on IOS in my experience.
I've been kinda lucky that i have a gym next to my route back from school so i can continuosly re take control, and in a rural area i always get the 50 coins, still takes a bit tho

Should have done it with 300 item storage and pokemon.
Would this be a fair representation of f2p as when raiding your using mons you have previously paid for. A f2p player won't have such strong mons to raid with?

Not really I'm f2p and I have a bunch of strong stuff from playing since 2018
Tyranitar is pretty easy to obtain from raids and is really weak to machamp, which is pretty easy to obtain f2p since you get free evolutions from traided machoke

My first shiny legendary was xerneas who powered up to 2500 as a free 2 play player

I got 7 shiny legendaries f2p ... Got 2 in last week... Shiny zekrom first raid attempt and shiny kyurem 2nd raid

We would appreciate more if u had made a new account coz it sucks to have limited poke balls and always running out of item space and Pokémon storage also the 50 coins limit and hardly a remote raid after getting lucky with 4 day in a row 50 poke coins not a hate comment just speaking the truth

If you wanna play the game free to play genuinely, then you also need to play the game only for the hours that normal free to play people can play it. Most normal people with a day job and limited income won't be able to play the WHOLE DAY for 7 days. Some realism for a change would be more useful

Dude the main problem for free to play is the limit on Pokémon allowed to save and items allowed to carry.

I've been free to play ever since a little before the remote raid nerf and I tell you it's not as bad as people make it out to be but I understand in certain aspects that people are also royal areas and it's a lot harder. But I use my gym coins only too use on more item storage or upgrade pokemon storage and that's it. I use daily raid passes on raids so I don't really care for remote anymore. But being free to play always bless me with allot of shinies that I can't even count I'm over 1450 and been only been playing 2 years which isn't a bad shiny count. Field researches has been blessing me lately but eggs I don't even bother I just use my normal incubator I get and call it a day not even on hatch days I hate hatch days and the bundles are absolutely horrendous so i dont even bother.
Buying the bundles though will almost always be better though than buying specific shop items outright. I spent $100 on pokecoins a few months ago, purchased off the web store so I could get bonus coins and I think i bought one or two incubator boxes (really wish I waited for the box with 100 incubators for 7000 coins). Other than that I bought remote passes a few times out of the boxes and I still buy pokemon and item storage of course. I still have just over 5000 coins left, tbh I've never been much of a raid guy as I think they're too out of the way and I don't like staying in the same place, especially out in the open, so I don't get to use my free raid pass every single day (I wish they gave solo raiders the option to ready up instead of only when in a group). Also it doesn't seem like many people play where I live and I don't really have any friends who play like I do so trying to do legendary raids usually just ends up in me getting frustrated by trying to invite people remotely and it not working (no one joining). Other than that I do play the game pretty hard and lately, despite having the coins in my account, I have been trying to play F2P. I still have a handful of incubators that I am saving for 12ks and special event eggs

I am mostly free to play. I use an auto catcher and buy GoFest tickets, but that's it. It can be a little frustrating, but you learn tricks and techniques to stock pile rare items. That's what really hurt you. You couldn't access any of your existing inventory of items, when, in reality, as a L50 346M XP player, we are in the same ballpark rank wise, and I have enough coins and items to use them when necessary, but maybe not when I want to.
One point you got sort of wrong is that getting your 50 free coins and gym work is way more of a focus than you let on.

Free to play is really easy, though. Everything comes for free in time in Pokemon Go.
It's easy to pay to play but it's more fun not to and you looked like you were having more fun 🎉😂
Hey mystic! I really like you videos but what I think is cooler is if you make a whole new account for a free to play account so you can experience it like an actual free to play player. It would also be awesome if you make it a series.

I hardly spend money on the game and play it close to daily. Daily incense and maybe grabbing a pokeball plus+ is super handy
I have never spend any money in Pokémon GO ever and my account is doing just fine

also do this again, when you are not in a spot where a lot of players are there. try a city where it’s hard to do 5star shadow raids. and have not as the best counters for each raids. a brand new account then too

I was free to play for years, got most of my cool stuff just playing for free, and was ok with only being able to do so much back then. Unless your banking, lots of money in RL and it's overflowing like mad, just stay free to play. Spend your money on better things.

Try it in Illinois or try doing it on a different acount I were using mega Pokémon on the raid,meaning it’s not a Pokémon you caught while the challange. Huge fan though I’ve gone on almost each of your lives so yes

This felt so elitist. Let’s go spend a week like “the poor people.” MOST of the game is free to play
I do appreciate your videos but I do want to point out a problem with this.
A couple years ago I went from $50 to $100 a month into the game and stopped instantly and my luck stayed good for about 3 weeks after, then my shiny counts started dropping from 1 to 3 shiny a night to 1 a week.
Just my opinion Pokémon Go is a pay to win bigger game. But if you have a lot of money invested on your game, they will not instantly cut your increased chances.
I do pay for Go Fest but try not to put any other money into the game.
The difference is a 14 and 15 in hp is like 0.4 but the hp can’t be something like 0.4 so ya in a way the lucky Frillish is basically identical to a 100% one
This is true for many pokemon, but not Jellicent. It has 200 hp at level 50 with 14 HP IVs, but with 15 HP IVs it has 201 HP.
PVP is beyond crucial for free to play players. I always make time to farm the dust
FTP maybe isnt bad in a big place but in a city that has like 10 players total with 7 gyms that are literally miles apart from each other yeah it sucks not to mention Item storage and how long do i have to wait for my pokemons to come back from gym and bring back coins.
Cant even buy remote passes because i need Item storage space so yeah.

Did you know: if you go to battle and click on the wild encounter, you can see which pokemons you can encounter

i got myself a free remote raid pass from my breakthrough box. guess what happened. i did a kyurem raid and i failed to catch it :D. im not having it with catching legendary pokemon. also had a zekrom flee on me. i just scuffed too many throws xD. maybe if i did great/excellent with golden razz it would still have ditched me dont get me wrong. but i dont have many legendaries fleeing on me normally.
Someone once told me that creator's accounts have boosted odds and it seems like he's getting reaaally lucky

lol try to do this in a place like Oklahoma lol its absolutely horrible. next to no one plays anymore. only way to get a raid done is if you join a raid group if you can even find one anymore.
