I actually like this bow. While Skipping Stone is very good at clearing mobs and gaining resolve, Sugaru’s Sight is excellent to burst kill purple Onis. My build is focused on ranged & headshot damage with Foul Arrow. I can one shot anything if I activated the blade and bow tech.

I use this on my Samurai and absolutely love it. Together with Sarugami's wrath, gives me a very comfy build. It's 120ki perks aren't as useful, but having Poison and Sharpened Ammo does help out. I find piercing ammo to be useless as the target lock function cannot use it. I always play with no aim assist, so switching over to single ammo is no problem. Did wish I could use multi-shot with the fire arrows.

It seems this weapon while using the longbow icon counts as a shortbow as all classes can use it by default which might also explain why headshot refund isn't available?
As a side note this bow is good for survival bonus objective for the headshot one

@@awesomesauce5974 the first skip from a headshot with the SSB will be a bodyshot now. Instead of multiple headshots…..buuuuut, if you run that 50% chance of a headshot acting like a bodyshot….and… you hit your ult. Then it’s a good time and you are once again hated by the other classes.
The Sugaru sight with poison perk works well for assassin if you have the nightshade perk for poison damage.

I was playing as a ronin today and saw some samurai players melting oni with a half bow and was like how is that possible? I didn’t know they added this new bow until now
I think the reason why they didn’t add headshot refund is because the game wouldn’t register on how many arrows you would get back if you land those headshots with the bow either way which is understandable also I do agree that this bow isn’t the best for hunter but I feel like it’ll be good for other classes like assassin and samurai for getting more resolve with the range resolve property and being able to hit multiple enemies at once to gain resolve faster to use your ult if you already used it and if you don’t have the other legendary like bottle of liquid courage which can help you get your ult back with is an ok alternative for those who don’t have that legendary yet
SSB would still be better. can get versatile and headshot refund

I main the Hunter, but I can't help the feeling of being left out with the outfits; the overgrowth attire is not working for me; I think they're ugly and just poor in design. I know the males are equal to Jin because of the story, but still; I will work to unlock better outfits for my girl if they ever think to make them for her. I hope in the future the Hunter gets some love in the clothes department. Damn fingers double cross.

Class item with foul and blessed arrows sword with oni damage bow with helmet piercing bottle of liquid corege . techniques 50 % bonus damage in close range regen arrows for 1 resolve and bonus legendry. you have infinite ammo for the bow the blessed and foul arrows help the team and increase your damage liquid corege for resolve = arrows and with the 50 % bonus close range damage you have a shotgun hunter build
Other than Forbidden Medicine, Sugaru's Sight Bow is my favorite ranged weopon for the Samurai. I get a ton of kills and resolve with it.

@@GooshyG yes that is a pain for sure, you gotta have good situational awareness. Before Forbidden Medicine and Sugaru's Sight, the ranged slot was just a wasted slot on my Samurai. At least there's more options now.

I use it with a pure resolve build so that you can have infinite ammo while using the bow. So I never use my ult and instead just spam headshots. In my opinion the main thing that would help make this competitive would be draw speed significantly decreasing the time needed to get a red reticle. I use this bow like a shotgun and run around head shotting people and burning down oni’s. The play style feels good but I want the charge up to be faster so it can compete with SSB. I’m fine that I abandon my ult it feels like a heavenly strike build of sorts. Just needs to be quicker in order to compete.
Headshot refund would be a lot better or increasing the resolve from all 3 arrows hitting as a headshot maybe to help keep the restock cycle without having to fully commit to resolve. It’s a fun build and works in end game content but it’s not close to the top tier meta builds.
That’s what I getting from other that like this too! Resolve build with straight ranged damage. Ignoring your ult. It’s interesting! I’ll have to try it out. Thanks!
@@GooshyG my tweak is to get a second legendary. I won’t need the 50% chance for headshots with sugaru’s sight so Now I just have to figure out which legendary. Maybe Liquid courage (when I can get it) and then I can drop the munitions and scavenger and pick up the status effect damage.
Does draw speed increase lock on speed?
Im running it on my hunter, it's definitely usable without the ammo technique for the hunter. I can keep up with the ammo consumption by using scavenger(ammo pick-ups are doubled) on the hunter charm as well as munitions on my smoke bomb.

Imagine if this was a longbow, now that'd be so much power for so little time. Also I personally think this is better than the skipping stone bow since the skipping stone seems to not always ricochet to enemies if you get a headshot now. So I'll take the consistent, and infinite source of very high damage since you can use the perk that gives you ammo for resolve.
skipping stone bow always ricochet's on headshots, they changed where the ricochet goes to on the enemy.
For example: if you land a headshot on someone, the ricochet will go to an enemy's body instead of head.
That's very weird, I'm not always getting the ricochet even though I land a headshot. I'll have to test it again in a story quest to see if I'm just crazy

Yes I don't have a problem getting the Ricochet either. Every time I get a headshot I get a ricochet. I don't use aim assist like he does maybe I should try that though
@@robk5437 thanks for commenting so I'd remember this was a thing. I tested the bow in a story mission and I noticed that it would ricochet, but the enemy it ricochets too has to be fairly close, and it's usually just a body shot unless they're huddled up together
is there a way to get weaker aim assist i hate it locks on to explosives when i clearly have an enemy in middle of screeen and when i try to pull away it snaps back
I found a sugaru’s sight build by the gamer that seems very powerful called artemis hunter build
This works well in the main game but not legends survival. A waste of time tbh

Idk if I’m built different but I can’t stand aim assist because I do far better without it because I like to choose my target mid pull back and I hate how strong aim assist is on and I have no problem hitting heads and I use ssb
No worries it’s def preference and up to you I said that a while back too. I spent a good day going back and forth tryna see which worked best for me. Landed on aim assist. Never looked back
I see this as less an option for the Hunter and more an upgrade for a Samurai or Assassin build. I especially think it is a good ranged option for a Samurai and with poisoned ammo, also has utility on a poison damage Assassin build.
The purple Oni Spearman just straight up Noped Out and ran and hid after that triple headshot

Iam using this bow, if played right it can be really effective. Iam using ammo refill and skipping the ultimatum. It is deffinetly the most fun bow to play with.
I can almost 2,5 (8 arrows) shot purple elite Onis. It would be Nice if you could get headshot refund With this bow. But i can understand why they didn't make the perk available for this bow. It would be too insane. That is the punishment.
Use foul arrows on charm, and poison arrows on bow. That is very effective.

It's literally just a bow that let's you use your ammo faster lol, good for samurai though

Advantages of this new bowl is especially in the story mode if you are playing any story that has ghost these are super useful as they will lock onto the ghost even though you cannot see them, also if you are skilled enough in a new situation in survival and rivals these are extremely good with large enemies on a one-on one match up as all the arrows will go straight to the head so you looking at free shot to the head each time you pull back the bow,Very useful against a chroman and a teleporting archers

I been playing this game all this time and didnt even know aim assist existed I'm over here trying to master head shots while folks over here using aim assist lol
You don't get headshot refund on Sagurus bow because I'd you hold it long enough, it targets headshots. So you'd essentially get unlimited headshot ammo for the entirety of the match. Would be OP 😂

There neeeds to be options for aim assist because I feel it’s sharp and strong with or locking on so quickly need different types of it so when you use the bow it’s not as annoying to lock on to enemies
One of the game changers, rivals the ssb, if it has the head shot refund it'll be easily better... my assassin unlocked it and has been deadly since then.
I do not play Legends since before the Director's Cut release. I imagine that all the builds and classes are different from before. Guess I have to learn everything again XD
yes! new abilities, techniques, and legendary weapons. still the same mechanics tho, so you dont have to learn everything again
So we have: a bow that gives hunter ulti, a charm that gives ronin ulti, a sword that gives samurai ulti. What about assassins ulti lol
A chained assassination should be a thing by now.
As bizarre as this sounds, it would appear this is a hit and run bow. Meaning you are not there to take head shots within standing positions like the weightless spirit.
I get more kills with this then skipping stone. I don't get into the fray as much I sit back. It's great for getting head shots from a long range even enemies that are running horizontal to you which are basically impossible to hit otherwise. So in survival you can find a spot that can hit multiple spawn points.

I like using it on my Samurai since otherwise I never bother using the arrows, trade between forbidden medicine depending on how I feel. With my Hunter I prefer using the long bow, but I guess I'm an outlier in I prefer using the bow to actually fight instead of just spamming weak headshots and the ult. As for the headshot refund... I mean, it would be completely busted? Just always landing three headshots and getting unlimited ammo.
This is the best bow. Perked up right and everybody does before me. Then I get my ult for my pains. Love it. It cleans up.
Same. Put scavenger as a second perk to help with ammo. If you know how to run it, it's amazing.

I like the bow . I use it as a support . With the bow i use (range resolve gain)(headshot damage)(helmet piercing arrows). With my charm i use the hunter charm with (ranged resolve gain)(resolve gain)(foul arrows)
The way i help is when i hit multiple enemies it gives weakening and my teammates will do more damage to them.

Bruh I love that weapon. I got it lvl 120 it's strong and I get easy Bodies with it. I use that resolve resupply power and some rounds I don't have to grab ammo

With the bomb pack being unlocked for the samurai, there’s no point of using this bow tbh, unless you’re just bored and want to do something different.

I like to call this beast the shotgun bow since its good at area control but if you use the multishot on a single enemy like a purple oni brute they’re gone in two charged shots

Being a halfbow I honestly never even bothered to try it on my hunter, just running it on the samurai. Although since a recent update where they removed half the ammo pickups from every map it is a little harder to run.

This bow is competing with bomb pack for my current back to back ult Assassin build. Ranged Resolve Gain on this bow + BoLC is pretty busted for resolve gain. Also putting poisoned ammo, bleed ammo and Headshot Damage on the bow and select poison damage as Assassin technique, it also gives the bow pretty good kill potential

I got this first day after update and now damn with right build i can get more kills than samurai just use ranged resolve to 20% and use helmet pierce and refill all ur ammo just with a triple shot and u can even use resolve gain with hunter charm and headshot damage and if u have 120gear u can get sheild peirce too and u dont have use ur ult at all and btw its not full optimize u can do more

With the 2.11 patch, i think it makes this bow less viable. Especially when they removed a couple of ghost offerings in survival to refill ammo

Any character can get it, my samurai and assasin got one each.. stories survivals and rivals I did.

FYI I did some testing on this bow and I'm pretty sure reload speed bonus and Scent of Blood are useless as neither improve the lock on time, which I believe is actually 1.5s in Legends. The short bow WILL full draw before it reaches that without any bonuses.

I just watched a video on someone hyping this bow up. I can see the potential of it in the last 3 rounds of rivals but I'm not a hunter so I might be completely wrong😅

It rivals the ssb, ensures head shots, only thing missing is the refund and it'll be clearly better

I’m bad with the bow too, which is why I play injured resolve gain Hunter lol. I get to do melee and spam my ult like my Samurai, but since I’m a Hunter my ult range is wider/longer.

🖤. I have the technique for refund of arrows and I've bugged my character for draw speed and resolve so it's pretty good. I'm rarely left with no ammo. I think Lock- on Target is for ppl who don't know how to play ... Like I don't see the point of playing hunter if you'll go auto lock.
for leaderboard runs, seconds matter, and aim assist helps drop that time to aim. but def try it out if you haven't! i was pretty hardcore about NO aim assist for quite some time. Someone actually recommended me it and i gave it a chance. never went back. But you never know until you try
