What a SPECTACULAR new take on the old classic cups and balls. This was tradition and "new spice" in a perfect blend. And the pacing was fantastic. Some magicians move so fast transitions seem instant. Here the transitions were so casual and relaxed that I constantly went "I SHOULD have seen that!". Bravo Sir! Bravo!
Dont like these performances because they rely too much on OFF table sleights which are fucking obvious and stupid. This isnt magic so much as it is just too similar to a quick change routine. Things that are easily discernable shouldn't be on this show.
@@charlesnewborn3760 somewhat agree, but due to the material of the string/ball more was done ON table than most cup and ball routines. It was still nice to see a variation of the typical routine using different props. I do agree that this is more of a "basic" act that you would do for kids vs a national television audience.

This is truly beautiful all the way through, a work of art.
the trick was great of course - but man this is by far the best translator i have ever seen. Nearly invisible and causing 0 delay.
While you may be right, this of course is edited after the performance, so maybe they can cut out some interpretation time.
All of the translators are edited in a way so that you know there's a translator, and the rest is just cutting past them translating into a conversational flow between both sides without the translation part.
You said that don't give up. That is very true, because if you don't give up, there will be miracles.❤❤

Looking at it with the eyes of a child it looks like pure magic. But through the eyes of an adult I know it's all gimmicks and sleight of hand. Yet somehow knowing that makes it even MORE amazing. Because seen through that perspective I can better appreciate all the ingenuity that went into it as well as being just blown away by the sheer sleight of hand skill. Bravo! And I am sure P&T are even more impressed. That had to very nice for them because they are some of the few people that can fully appreciate what they are seeing. Outstanding.

Who cares if you "fooled" anyone? You performed a work of art on the stage. It was a creative and beautiful performance that makes you feel like a child again, as if the world is full of possibility. If you can create that kind of feeling for your audience, you've done it right!

It doesn't matter so much if you didn't fool them, it was easy to see the sense of magic that they had watching your performance and showing that to Penn and Teller has to be an amazing feeling. You sure fooled me at times, but also it was absolutely beautiful.

Wonderful! I can maybe guess how you did about 10% of the tricks - maybe! I know enough about magic to know that no matter how advanced the gimmicked props are, the props never do the trick for you. It's all about the skill of the magician to wield those props correctly and smoothly and cleanly so that the audience sees pure magic. And that's what we saw!

Very impressive routine. Even if some advanced magicians know how your props work, you're technical skills extremely smooth. I'm sure viewers will slow the video to 25% speed and still not catch anything. I for one won't do that and just appreciate your talent.
Beautiful! Every season they give out less and less trophies even though tricks get better and better :) I guess they were told not to do so just because they considered one of the bests in the world but every second magician used to fool them. Also they have seen a lot by now they learned too probably :)

That was a beautiful trick, kudos. Too bad you couldn't get the trophy, maybe next time.
there was some sleight of cup going on for sure, my theory is that cups had "magic" bottoms. when you can see inside the cups, you can tell that the bottom is cone shaped and higher, so there's enough space to hide a ball in.
i always go for high tech instead of basic methods, so i'd have remote controlled mechanism on it, which i'd be able to control with my feet, like 2 tiny buttons inside my shoes maybe, so i can press down on them with my toe to open/close them.
I thought about the usual thin thread some use to make things "jump". It looks fantastic anyway.

I would encourage you to keep doing your thing! I think you could fool them with a little more work. Cups and balls seem to be a favorite of P&T. Maybe incorporate some shadows (another of their favorite) to not only really impress them, but fool them!

Your preformed perfectly. And there in lies the problem with FOOL US .. P and T have seen so much that it really sucks to be DENIED a Trophy that you clearly fooled everyone expect P and T.
Amazingly, the translator could translate Penn's brilliant coded descriptions of how he knew what the guy did and how well he did it.
its alright I saw most of the moves he did.
