Dunno if Hoyo still doesn't do this but for the love of god, *either archive story related events or don't make story elements a limited time event* I don't care about missing the rewards but there isn't much reason for new players to play a game with a major lean on story, and then tell them they can't enjoy all of the story while reminding them they missed character introductions that came from a one time 3 week event
They actually do this with Star Rail, and I suspect that they'll make a point of doing it going forward. They've been talking about finding some way to do it reasonably with Genshin, but I think the big issue for them on that front is disk space (Since a lot of those big events are pretty big and having them permanently in files would massively increase disk space usage, which'd be rough on mobile/console players).
@@Kuruyami What they've started to do with _Honkai Impact 3rd_ is allow players to choose which parts of the game they keep the data for. I think it'd be awesome if they did this for their other games too. Maybe even make it possible to choose what you plan to do from the game launcher to cut down on load times, especially in _Genshin_ . Resource management like this could save some players' phones, seriously.

I saw a clip of this game's cutscenes, and it was jaw-droppingly good animation. The animators worked hard and CARED about what they were doing. It's insane.

The first time ive genuinely considered playing a hoyo game, besides honkai impact. The combo of bouncy animation, hoyo's signature fan-service, gameplay style, fan-service, mini-games, and did I mention the fan-service?
I'm tempted to try it too, but I just know I'm gonna be disappointed by its monetization. MiYoHo have a track record of making good games with horrible pricing.

From what I’ve seen from the rest of the Genshin/HSR community regarding this game, they all seem to mirror your opinions here pretty closely. Animation and characters are great, minus the male MC being kind oof boring, combat is good, the TV world is not great and could use some love since it’s the main content of the game. People are a little concerned but enthusiastic because it just looks incredible and the animation is top tier.
Squash and stretch is incredibly underrated in animation, so many game and animation studios go for the hyper realistic and never really seem to be able to pull it off convincingly, so I'm happy to see this animation style growing in popularity. You can make characters uniquely expressive with this style and it's wonderful to see.
I think hoyo saw genshin and their Honkai series and thought to them selfs, "Do you know what we failed to do on our past games, we didn't give the gals azur lane levels of jiggle".
I'm afraid that I must inform you of how wild Hoyo was before Genshin put them in the chinesse govern view, there's a reason why some Honkai fans call them Hornyverse
I played the first Hoyoverse game Honkai. I liked it, but the emphasis of THIS IS A MOBILE GAME was getting to be waay too much for me. Same reason why I havent played Star Rail.... As you stated, this animation is top tier. Its crazy fluid looking full of energy and just seriously fun to look at. If they did an animation series, "Hoyo... Hint hint, Do this." I would seriously watch it, even if it was kind of bad. To see the character interactions with this kind of animation and style would just be a lot of fun. If hoyo did make an animation, I seriously doubt it would be bad considering the effort they put out in these games. Its just a shame they choose to do the mobile market.

One more advantage of this game over the other two is that you can rewatch cutscenes whenever you want, while with Genshin the only replayable cutscenes are for weekly bosses, and you can only read dialogue for previous story missions in both Genshin and Star Rail.

Hoyoverse genuinely went all out with this game. All these cutscenes in this game are so exaggerated and expressive and I absolutely adore it. As for gameplay, it's really nice how simplified and compact everything is. You're not running around a giant map to collect upgrade materials for characters at point A and then running all the way across the map to point B to get another material. The combat feels far faster and more fluid as well, perfect switches and guards are so damn satisfying to land.
Sicilia: Falco, we can't be the only one who wants a Hoyo fighting game. Hoyo Versus. Every character we've seen in any Hoyo game is, "PEAK FIGHTING GAME DESIGN."
I love the look of games like these, but their open-ended nature has always discouraged me from playing them. I like my stories to have a beginning, middle and end.
The animation is good to draw players into the gacha loop. Better looking means more people will be attracted to playing it, works really well for HoYo.
The closest thing to big action sections is the rally's in the combat story part. Its basically just one long map of action until u reach the boss and u look around for chests for the items that u can take out.

Don't just add more maid characters, more butler characters too! Like Von Lycaon. Ever since I played "evolution world" (for the gamecube for those who want to look it up), where one of your party members is your own butler *WHO WIELDS A SHOTGUN*, I've been wanting more butler characters in games.

I just went to their main website and everything looked so charming and lively. Every single Hoyoverse game has catered more and more to me. Genshin was cool and had good music and pretty women, but then Honkai added a Roguelike mode and had maybe even better music and prettier women, and now ZZZ has one of my favorite aesthetics in fiction, a roguelike mode, insane animation, sick combat, maybe the best music out of the three, AND the prettiest women.
I think they occasionally overdo it with the character animation, sometimes restraint can pay of better than some overexaggerated goofiness. In terms of the work being put into it it is very impressive though.

@@caped6453 I just wish they actually make an interesting combat system that doesn’t just look at the first hour of KH2 for inspiration.
I hope someone makes a compilation of the animations just to see how far they distort their character models JUST to make actions more punchy. That has my interest. It's not enough for me to get it on any platform but as an observation.

I just went to their main website and everything looked so charming and lively. Mind you, it's a bunch of images, nice website design, and cool background music, so I can only imagine what the game is like if just the websites were that impressive. Time to try out this Equalizing test and see what happens

Every single Hoyoverse game has catered more and more to me. Genshin was cool and had good music and pretty women, but then Honkai added a Roguelike mode and had maybe even better music and prettier women, and now ZZZ has one of my favorite aesthetics in fiction, a roguelike mode, insane animation, sick combat,
maybe the best music out of the three, AND the prettiest women.

I think they occasionally overdo it with the character animation, sometimes restraint can pay of better than some overexaggerated goofiness. In terms of the work being put into it it is very impressive though.
Scott definitely plays Zenless for the **plot**...
So if they make a sequel, will it be called Zenless Zone One?
Jokes aside, game looks good, would have tried it if it wasn't a HoYo gacha game.
I like that ZZZ doesn't even look and feel like a Hoyo game which normally shares the same art style
