Really Enjoying the new DCS Channel Map and the their new World War 2 effects, some really awesome stuff so I thought why not just do another World War 2 video, Its really nice to see ED focusing on their WW2 side of things a little bit and bringing it up to the same level as the modern stuff, I think I'll be doing a lot more World War 2 Missions in the future. Big thank you to Longshot for helping out with this video you the man brother.
name of that angelic song at the end?
I’m definitely up for seeing more related videos like that
I'm loving the WWII and Korean war missions. Much more elegant than the new jets.
Unbelievable! My father was flying combat missions in Europe in 1944. He didn't see anything romantic about his commitment to kill my mother's relatives while they were trying to kill him. However, I learned his history after he would talk about it, and have an hour flight time in a P-51. The audio of the engine sounds you hear in the cockpit are exactly what I recall - constant engine noise no matter if you were in a dive or climbing. I don't have DCS, but I find this channel to be amazing on several levels.
I think it's great that DCS has done WW2 to keep the memory of those who served alive for a while longer. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for watching glad you enjoy the content man.
Gotta love that bubble canopy.
@Aidan Evans ;-;
@Aidan Evans See the P-51B. Looks good with the Malcolm canopy.
The last cinematic had me feeling for them.
Bro
I think you should read Bhgavad Geeta...
That was gorgeous to watch. More like this please.
Me to my sleep on seeing a notification for a new GS video:
"I'm sorry little one"
u the man dude
Can you put the ground perspective when you make a run?, it would be interesting.
Yeah...what he said. I love the Growling Sidewinder channel.
I'm still baffled at the fact that this channel doesent have more than a million subs, posting near daily content that can keep me going for years! Keep up the work bro,
Thanks man really appreciate that level of support.
@@GrowlingSidewinder welcome, enjoy the rest of your day!
Dude is grinding, constant vids.
Hey GS, would love to see you do a lot more of Ww2 era stuff
thanks buddy I'm super excited to do more.
@@GrowlingSidewinder ye That was really beautiful more plse
Wow. Some of the most beautiful video I’ve seen recently. The contrast between the pre-plastic but still relatively modern environment in the evening sun with the violence of the action is stunning.
2:53 longshot nearly crashed. OOF
Yeah, that was a close one.
@@LongShotChannel OMG longshot replied to my comment
love this old birds , hopefully you do more of them .
The WWII videos are excellent. More up close & personal. Reminds me of air combat books an movies when I was young. Keep up the good work. 🤙
I know this mission is months ago, but GS World at War server is awesome. These coop missions (shout Longshot!) show the potential!
The D model is just stunning
Great cinematics! Gotta love the war birds. Awesome video. The new damage module is fantastic.
Great mission; would be great to see some P40s, P39s & P38s someday too.
P-40s vs Zeroes?
This was just so relaxing.
This is probably my favourite video of the two of you playing Warbirds. I just love the dramatic setting and the effectiveness of the operation.
Seems ur wingman is much more comfortable with the Gs these old planes pull!
The P-51 was one of the most g-resilient planes from WW2 correct?
P-51 Cadillac of the sky that was a quote from movie Empire of the sun.
That’s right - I’ll never forget seeing on the big screen in ‘87 (a young Christian Bale) jumping up and down, shouting at the top of his lungs “P-51 - CADILLAC OF THE SKYYYY!!!” As those Mustangs roared over the field, in slow motion for a couple of seconds, cutting loose with their .50s, then back to full speed, the roar of their Merlins, “I touched them. I can still taste them... Oil and cordite...”. Still gives me chills 32 years later. If you love a ‘Stang, you owe it to yourself to see this movie. And the soundtrack is fantastic too - always on my WWII flight sim playlist. Bonus points for spotting John Malcovich peering from his appropriated B-29 canopy “window”. “Try not to think so much, Jim. TRY NOT TO THINK SO MUCH!” ruclips.net/video/Ekv_mUb3yuo/видео.html
This channel and these missions are my new found obsession
DCS' graphics, tracer, smoke, sun reflection and sound sure beats IL2's.
Great vid. I see I'm not pushing the stang hard enough after seeing your MP and rpm settings. Great flying my friend!
Looked like Longshot was trailing a little smoke or fuel from that right wing root. Nice revenge shot, though! Looks like he hit the belly gunner.
Yeah he hit me. This tail gunners are realy good.
You can hear he hits me in the slow mo in the end of the video.
This right here is top tear content, the fat you don't have more subs is baffling. Keep this stuff up seriously.
One of the better looking fighters ever built. P51 and F15. Always classic
AWESOME! Getting good at this !
Beautiful aircraft, great vid .
That follow up attack on the AAA after the 1st run was brutal
Outstanding run
Fantastic scenery!!
watching him play may be even more fun than actually playing myself.
I like how the cockpit instruments are laid out in a way that they're easy to read. Almost like a ww2 version of a HUD.
holy shit, i loved every single second of this!
Very well done. Thanks.
Dude I've watched a number of your video's and you have to be one of the most chilled pilots in DCS. Have you ever had a freak-out moment?
By the way, I love your content and can't wait to get into this game over Xmas when my gear arrives!
He had a moment yes ruclips.net/video/DnUTPwfuJHE/видео.html
that was Sick, my teammates cant even get off the runway! loll
I love your content you were the one that got me into dcs I have been flying for a while now I love the videos dude keep up the good work
Nice vid. The sun on the horizon is sweet. A Jug would be my weapon of choice. No pesky radiator to let me down. Eight 50s and a massive, bulletproof radial upfront. Please do an airfield attack vid. Those guys came in at grass-top level. Add a few flak towers for even more fun.
Thank god I have my notifications turned on. I can see the video early!
Nice seeing the new damage model with the attack on the bombers.. A mission which also includes being jumped by some escorts or something similar would be nice too..
Jeez Louise...BADDAS shit! Awsome vid guys, well done.
That was awesome!
Enjoyed that!
Enjoyed this one for sure!
Good video. Thanks for the content.
Awesome content as always!!-
Thanks for map channel helped me out alot
Lol the music at the end gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it
Wingman was mowing the lawn, on that pull up!
More More More!!!! Amazing vid thanks! Please could you add a little about engine management in the Mustang, its the only warbird I really struggle with although looking at your gauges you seemed happy with them at a point where I would normally be panicking about overheating.
Great vid! Beautiful edit ...If the replay system would work in multiplayer someday... I would start playing DCS.
9:15 that looked awesome
More strike missions! Good job to both pilots!
Thank you
Got to be THE BEST ONE you have done yet........
Rest In Peace, General Chuck Yeager
A legend
Beautiful!
Love ur vids man!!
Great vid well played both of u!
Thank you sir
Such a beautiful plane.
P51 are so beautiful man!
The Channel is such a gorgeous map. Once they improve the performance it will be awesome.
Fox 2, good vid, good vid. Not only entertaining but very cinematic.
7:55 looks like you're strafing a monopoly board
Longshot is a really good formation flyer
I got to actually sit in a mustang 2 months ago..in miami .it was called happy day. It was so shiney all the rivets so shiney and smooth . the exhaust ports had a shiney metal red and purple glossy look to it . i took tons of pictures . the gun ports seemed to be open although the guns were prolly taken out . not sure i didnt ask i was at awe at the experience alone . but that canopy glass up front is like 5 inches thick..not sure if its bullet proof or if it supposed to be like that .. The person who gave me the walk around stated alot of the old parts were restored and the engine was in shreds . it took these people 8 years to restore this bird .. The presence alone is out of this world .. I have pics as well . with me in it.. And with me out of it ..if yall want some let me kno ill send em over . not alot of people get to see 1 up close and get to touch it let alone sit inside take pics and basicly get a full rundown of what its been thru .. This guy still has the book on this bird . yellow yellow pages lol ..awsome .
Nice vid
Extremely nice graphics, and color saturation.
P51 Cadillac of the skies, I felt the heat I can taste them in my mouth.
That fire is so amazing now
bruh this game was released in 2008 and look how realistic the grapphics are this game is better than real life that's for sure :)))
Briiliant video this 👍
I much prefer flying the old warbirds in DCS World..there's nothing better than being in a Mustang and shooting down Messerschmitts or doing bombing raids. In VR with hottas its about as close as im going to get to flying one of these lol.
I think SOP in WW2 was to go after the train engines, not the cars. Tracks and cars were replaced easily, but the engines was another matter (an the Germans ran out to the end of the war).
Ima simple man. I see a GS video, I click
Love your vids man there the best
thank you man much appreciated.
Not to put too fine a point to it, but wasn't that a marshaling yard rather than a train station? That aside, great vid - can't get enough of this WWII Channel Map action!
Hey, weird question but do u happen to watch 2 bears 1 cave? Lol
Great video for old warbirds (like me) LOL
I've never seen a photo of a WW2 European theatre Mustang carring rocked into combat. All the photos of P51s carring rockets were either China, Burma, India theater Mustangs or Mustang with no markings at all which might be test aircraft state side or Korean war mustangs. Not saying it didn't happen i cannot find a picture of it.
Apparently some P-51s would actually do this after escorting bombers! They would go down and attack the ground with bombs/rockets and destroy anything they could find before returning back to base
Great job GS.Your videos feel like real dude.
And what is the name of that angel song at the end?
Your wingman sounds like he’s smoked all the pot, lolol! Beautiful video, thanks GS!
Im legally required answer that.
I can't even imagine the amount of time it takes to make a DCS map
Not as mush as you think coz they probably used procedural generation based on digitalised old maps.
@@MarcCelisKuss huh I guess I never thought of that. When it comes to the map he played where the AI would counteract his attacks now that had to take some time
Nice!~ Thanks for the video! Can you do a P-38 mission?
Cool vid and I like the effects. Do they have P-38 Lightnings and P-47 Thunderbolts available to fly missions with?
What in the hud do you use to aim guns. The star or sircle with + in it.
More of this pls GS
Your intro gives my grandpa ptsd flashbacks
You should use some JAS Gripen videos!
Plz do a dogfight between F-16V and Rafale. Love to watch
When attacking a convoy or trains aren’t you supposed to destroy the lead vehicle first?
Great video! What are your pc specs to play that smooth? What joystick do you use?
Cool vid GS. Are those booms the flak? Also, would have been cool if you had been jumped by a pair of ME109s or FW190s. Looks like long shot got hit in that last scene and he had a bit of smoke coming out when you headed home.
I did. Tail gunner got me a bit. He was very good.
what sim shows flaps and rudder actually working as directed?
I'm interested in getting a plane for DCS. I have some experience with the Su-25 that the base game has but I'm wondering what would be an easy plane to start with. The trainer P-51 that was also included is super easy to fly, so would getting the regular P-51 be the best option for a beginner?
The easiest paid plane are the Flaming Chiffs 3 planes. You could buy the whole pack or each plane one by one. They are on the same level like the Su-25T. Most mods needs FC3 to work but if you dont like mods, you shoudnt buy the whole pack. I have bought it like the most and only flew the Su-33. I recommend you to buy one or two plane (Su-33 and F-15C) and use the saved money to buy a high fidelity module. There is no perfect beginner planes under the high fidelity ones because its a very personal thing and they are highly detailed recreations of the real one so that you could use real life checklist's/manualls. The best plane is the one you are intrested in most because that will motivate you to learn it properly.
WW2 air to ground were particularly inefficient to actually destroy anything but soft targets but had impact on enemy moral and operational mobility.
did warbirds already use rockets? seeing that in the video confused me
Awesome vid but can you make a f14 bvr engagement?
Not sure if it was intentional, but the markings on your P-51 are identical to "Glamorous Glen III," Yeager's P-51 Mustang. RIP Gen. Yeager.
What’s the difference between the P-51D-25 and the P-51D-30 in DCS ?
Loving the WW2 , can you fly a mosquito on this server?
