My mother, father, grandfather and grandmother were at that game! *A good* 7 years before I was born. Also remains BHA's most finest noticeable achievement in their history. PS: RIP Motty.

Remember watching this when i was only 9 years old, Brighton shoulda won really, was a good final. And was at a time when most players were from Britain except Bailey and Arnold Muheren, not like today when most players are not, will never happen again. And Smith must score!!!
The first match was the best one as was the Palace Final but always dvds only show highlights of the 1st match whilst the replay is in full but disappointing.
"Stevey foster what a difference you have made" my bor and sis were there and brighton fans were putting 2 fingers up at them a ma ne t said no made it was 4😂😂
Great upload. Thanks. What a first match. A classic in the old Wembley could not be beaten. Fantastic memories.
Oh the sweet memories 😊
The first one I really remember being excited about. The pre match build up the lot great times

?????????????????
Such prophetic words from Jimmy Hill at 1:17:25 just before the Wilkins goal.
GFC Videos,
Thanks for this first game of the 1983 Cup final. Great game and good performances from both teams, especially Stapleton and Stevens.
Good day. Thank you so much for the nice video. Bravo! Enjoyed and liked of course. Greetings and gratitude from country Azerbaijan
I recall watching this on live telecast with family and friends at my aunt’s place.
1:17:54 Beautiful from Ray Wilkins
Showed his earlier Chelsea class - always a Blue.
He was a classy player. Dean was a wonderful striker of the ball as well, his brother.
Man, the ambience was top notch in those days. Wow!
Don’t forget the helicopter ride to Wembley for the Brighton players before the game
Cracking game, great times for soccer. Amen.
Many thanks
La bise from France 😎.
If only
If only Gordon Smith had scored it would have been an altogether different story 🙄🙄

John Motson: "It's Smith! And Bailey saves."
Stapleton was real class would cost 80 millons of euros today. Such a skillfull 9
Unlike Whiteside who was just a thug.
I recall Brighton missing a sitter at the end?
Attendance for the 1983 FA Cup Final was 99,059 fans.
I was at the spurs v Villa charity shield in 1981 and it was a 100.000.
Utd in those days could fill Wembley twice
Why did Steve Gatting choose to wear long sleeves??
A terrible miss at the end, tragic

Yes it's frustrating. Same as the 1990 final games
