My mom died 5 years ago, and she died 3 weeks before her 90th birthday. My beautiful mom loved Christmas. I didn't, but since she passed, I love Christmas and realize what a special holiday it is.
My dad would load the entire family into the car and we would drive around looking at Christmas lights. Our weather was very cold and we had an old panel van. There were lots of holes in the van to the point that snow was blowing into the back of the van! We froze but had fun!
There was a Tic Toc video from a Tesla owner who had to have his battery replaced after 34 months. The cost he had to pay for a replacement …. $50,000.00 THE COST OF A NEW CAR! 😮

Rockland Electric (upper NJ) MADE me change to a smart meter. I put a shield on it so it would not transmit data. They removed it and told me if I did that again I would be sued. The smart meter KNOWS what kinds of devices you use by its electronic signature, so if you are using a vibrator they will know. PLUS it communicates with all your neighbors smartmeters. I too sued them and lost. I finally moved out of the NJ shithole (for other reasons). AND they also give off unsafe RF levels. I just gave up and moved. I had the suits on my property telling me they would have the local police arrest me if I "tampered" with THEIR equipment. Yeah MY town cops sided with the electric company. I left in 2020

Loved the video Christmas decorations - we have a house a few miles from here that installs a music-coordinated light show, and it's spectacular! The music is broadcast on a radio band as well as over loudspeakers, and the lights are linked up with the music - so even if it's really cold, you can listen to the music on your radio while watching the lights.
I bought a refurbished VW Golf TDI, before the insanity, and am averaging over 40 mph. On my long commute I get over 50! Change the oil once a year, as directed. Yet they did away with this amazing turbo diesel engine in favor of ev's. 🤦🏼♀️

in Australia we lagged the rest of the world in take up of EV's for many reasons, however after a long announced build up last week the Government where about to report on major plans and incentives for the public to embrace these vehicles (part of their climate change policy ) and it didn't happen - fortunately they caught the winds of change just in time

Okay, I looked at my budget 2022 vs 2023, the reality I am spending more AND BUYING LESS. All the increase is because of "inflation" which is really the Dollars Collapse. I look at the last 3 years I literally have cut my lifestyle in half, and it was pretty bare bones to begin with. But, the example I like to use is my Post office box, 3 years ago it was $36 half a year, now it's $83! And if I can't but a year before January 1st, it's going up again. That is 130% in 3 years, my disability did not go up 130%.

When I’ve run the numbers, increased registration and insurance cost negates any gas “savings” I would see from an EV. I’ll stick to my 5k econo car.

We have two Christmas Lots that open in my area, Every Year, nobody's been in them I drive by twice a day cuz they're on the way to work and on the way home, & I'm not seeing Christmas trees on cars like I used to in the Past😕

We have two empty Texas Longhorn restaurants that closed long ago and the parking lot is FULL of cars and trucks of all kinds…wondering if some car dealerships or banks are renting the parking lots to store vehicles.

Omg Dan! I thought that Frontier was horrible also until I flew Spirit…Spirit doubled the voucher they gave me because the delayed my flight by 5 hours. I told them they can keep their voucher because I will NEVER fly Spirit again!!!
Walking is faster than flying spirit. I paid for a checked bag and when I got to the airport, I realized it was the right size for a carry-on, and they refused to switch my prepaid bag to carry-on, and wanted to charge me for a carry-on also.

Our area is decorating like crazy... I think its thanks to the advertising on all the light poles for "those that decorate for you" everywhere. I am even thinking of calling them LOL

None of the new apt buildings I see have charging stations for EV autos.I'm not buying no matter what.Plus nobody works on them,nobody has parts,don't need all the bells and whistles.Also electricity is going up,monthly.

Dan when I was a kid somewhere down around Burbank, maybe Glendale area I’m not sure but there was a street they had amazing lights but one of the homes had a life-size nativity scene. It was amazing and they had music playing. Do you happen to remember that, where that was when you were younger ? it was like in the 60s and maybe early 70s.
Price of the vehicle, insurance, installation of charging station at your home , charging station , battery replacement costs , distance the auto goes on one charge , all bells and whistles such as heated seats,radio access are extra charge per month for example . No thank you I wouldn't buy on if they were offered at 5k .they are a huge fire risk .your electric bill will go up $300.00 a month minimum .

I confess to Doom Spending. Bought a concert ticket in a sweet SoCal beach town for next February. Booked a room for $114 per night. It is something to look forward to, and I have to travel anyway. A few days at the beach, and seeing a favorite band, will be a relief from the cold where I live and where I have to travel.
Fire departments are starting to use electric trucks! My son who is an LT in the FD where he lives says the houses that will be total losses because trucks can run or operate their pumps because they do have the battery life is going to be epic!

Okay, I looked at my budget 2022 vs 2023, the reality I am spending more AND BUYING LESS. All the increase is because of "inflation" which is really the Dollars Collapse.
I look at the last 3 years I literally have cut my lifestyle in half, and it was pretty bare bones to begin with. But, the example I like to use is my Post office box, 3 years ago it was $36 half a year, now it's $83! And if I can't but a year before January 1st, it's going up again. That is 130% in 3 years, my disability did not go up 130%.

I’m doing better than last year. I started getting my pension a couple of months ago and I can still work so it doubled my income. I’m smarter in my ways and more prepared but, having said that, the crap that goes around is still coming around and I’m still concerned as ever. So am I really doing better and how long will it last?

I know some people who are very addicted to gambling at LV. They will travel quite a distance at least twice a year to do so. Whether they are able to afford it, or not, is unimportant to them.

It's not just that they cost to much. These cars are dangerous. So many reasons these cars make no sense. The batteries and the materials used in the them is not a positive for people or the environment. People now understand the scam and are not going to buy them.
I would NOT even take a FREE ticket on Spirit Airlines ! NEVER again!
