CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHAT DAN MEANS BY "THE FED"? I keep hearing that "The Fed" is buying the market" and "The Fed" is manipulating or propping up the market". If this is The Federal Reserve, then can someone please tell me how "The Fed" can do this ? Is it really true that they buy stocks directly? Which ones and how? Is this by orders of the Biden administration maybe? Is it the U.S GOV. maybe that is "buying the market"? I keep hearing about "the Fed" ,,,but is it maybe the U.S. Gov. that is buying stocks? How the Federal reserve would be able to do this directly? I know they can buy and sell Treasury bonds, but stocks directly? Surely this isn't true.?
If this is true, why nobody asks Jerome Powell about this during his Federal Reserve announcements every other month?

Maybe houses were less expensive, however they were also 1200 to 1500 Sq. Ft. People these days think they "must have" way more than they need. People do not need stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, travertine tile, 3 car garage, and all the other upgrades. Gluttony of today.

Dallas mayor got elected with 98% of the vote. Last week he switched parties to become a Republican. His reasoning fiscal sanity reality, lower taxes and law and order, no defund the police because the citizens want safe neighborhoods AND he wants more police that's how strongly he feels about public safety. The blue states and cities should heed this man! A great American! No city infestated with drug addicts and criminals allowed to roam free and pillage stores! How these politicians made it easy to enable criminal behavior is untenable in a civil society. They buckled to the pressure of the agenda driven lefties and their view of a "perfect society"! Time to restore America to sanity!

There was an elderly wealthy man in Indiana in the 1960’s-1970’s who had millions in his local bank. He began to distrust the economy and made weekly withdrawals of $100,000+ in cash for storage at his home. The police discovered large black trash bags everywhere in the home filled with cash after thieves had robbed and killed him. They were tracked down when they showed up to a local Ford dealership to buy a new Lincoln for cash in large bills.

You've made a wise decision about keeping your cards closer to your chest. Today's world is about gathering as much personal information on as many people as possible. The Cyber Crime is increasing at a rate that has become terrifying. The Stock Market has been behaving differently for years when compared to 30-40 years ago. Fundamentals mean nothing anymore along with automated systems capable of triggering false swings in market prices in both directions, which are capitalized on by the Super Rich, Organized groups of Traders, and investors who are professionals in Market manipulation with the end result being fewer individuals while Equity Firms, Wall Street Banks, and Corporations themselves become more and more vested in each other's stocks and bonds. Fewer individuals are becoming the owners of most of the wealth in our country. Dan's right about taking personal inventory of your material items and assets. The days of collecting as much "stuff" as you possibly can are over. There's a saying my Grandparents used to quote all the time: "It's far more important that a person wants and enjoys the things they already have than to spend all of their time wanting the things they don't have." Again, I agree with Dan that there's something coming down the pipe that is going to change the way we currently live.

LOL, We gave up fast food almost 20 years ago...HUGE lifestyle upgrade. It's almost comical as to us they don't even exist. A few years ago we gave up on eating out entirely as I love to cook and it became an expensive disappointment going to restaurants. As my wife is fond of saying "When you can cook like this at home it really is just stupid to eat out". I can make my own McRibs and anything else for that matter whenever I like with ground pork from our small town butcher, hamburger buns from the bakery department of our grocery store baked in house, seasoned/sauced perfectly and smothered in thinly slice onions and kosher dill pickle slices. Not bound by corporate rules, I don't use the more expensive and not as good oval buns not do I mold "ribs" into the patties because all they do is hinder the Maillard reaction (browning) on that side. Best of all, no waiting in line, no wrong orders, no dealing with crappy staff and customers, no over paying for the worst food they can get away with and above all we're eating the best food available at the lowest price, so low that it's laughable.
    Cheers!

My son asked Santa for a barbecue pit at 2. I found a Mini Old Smokey. That pit was burned out in a year. Ha! My husband would light the big pit and his little pit every time. My son is a pit master. Then he grew up and cooked on the pit every evening. I made the sides. When he moved out on his own? I was lost😂😂😂😩😩😩😂😂😂😂 MOVE TO TEXAS DAN‼️

The catastrophe about to overwhelm the world economy has been coming foe a LONG time, certainly almost 60 years, since 1964, although some roots of it go back much further, to 1910 and the meeting of the financial magnates of the time on Jekyll Island, and their plans to start the Federal Reserve. Be that as it may, in 1964, faced with his desire to pass his "Great Society" social welfare legislation, as well as fund a great expansion of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War to boost the economy through spending on the military industrial complex, Lyndon Johnson removed the last vestiges of United States real money, silver coinage and silver certificate bills convertible to silver coinage at any bank, because having to back dollars with silver limited domestic spending. If the U.S. no longer was bound by silver money, but went on purely fiat currency, paper bills and coins made from base metals, it would allow the government to run the deficit spending necessary to achieve his aims.
This led to currency inflation, and a drop in the purchasing power of the dollar, which upset the U.S. balance of payments for imported goods. Nations began to demand being paid in gold to settle the balance, which led to a drop in the gold reserves being held by the U.S. To stop this outflow, Nixon was forced to close the gold window, and since then the U.S. has been on a purely fiat money system.
Some people foresaw what is occurring today as far back as 1964. I was just 11 years old, but I remember my father explaining to me how Johnson removing the silver backing of the dollar and running deficit spending would lead to price inflation, and eventually to the destruction of the U.S. economy. Sadly, because of the U.S. military power, the rest of the world was coaxed or bullied int also falling for the Keynesian lies, so that now the catastrophe will be world wide.
Is it any wonder that, faced with this impending economic doom, and the inevitability of a population rising up in righteous wrath at their leadership for the mess, and out for bloody revenge, the powers that control the U.S. and its vassal states keep poking the Bear over a conflict that is none of their business, intent on provoking World War 3 and nuclear Armageddon ? God help us all.

120,000 on the clock, it’s my daily driver and will also last me the rest of my life. The people ahead of me to purchase this car could not get the money due to the economy, my fist full of cash bought me the car at my price. Poor economic times are not bad for everyone.

Home Depot was crickets and a once nice store is a disaster and minimal staff. Christmas and Halloween stuff out - a really unattractive artificial tree $499. The HD just rented a vehicle to a women and when she did not return it and they ran the credit card it was 'surprise' not valid.

Living here in Detroit area, all I can say is that the UAW workers only care about themselves while non-union folks lose their jobs. I see it as a double edge knife....cars built by UAW will get too expensive and I no longer see myself buying a new car since I don't see a NEED to buy one......interest rates are finally going up and the past ten years of free money is over! Major manipulation in almost everything.

I haven't had a McRib for probably 20 or 25 years. I remember them tasting very good, but they were very high in calories. There's a burger place near me, in VA, called BGR. I've never eaten there. The food always smells terrific when I pass by. They now have a monthly burger called an Oktoberfest. I looked up the price, $18.75. I would never pay that much. I remember when hamburgers were five dollars at Chili's and I thought that was a lot of money. That was sometime in the 90s.
