Everything is precarious in the economy right now, but we’re getting more and more experts that feel that something big and stupid is about to happen. Layoffs are happening. The job numbers are horrible right now. #Economy #Layoffs #McDonald #IAllegedly #stagflation

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHAT DAN MEANS BY "THE FED"? I keep hearing that "The Fed" is buying the market" and "The Fed" is manipulating or propping up the market". If this is The Federal Reserve, then can someone please tell me how "The Fed" can do this ? Is it really true that they buy stocks directly? Which ones and how? Is this by orders of the Biden administration maybe? Is it the U.S GOV. maybe that is "buying the market"? I keep hearing about "the Fed" ,,,but is it maybe the U.S. Gov. that is buying stocks? How the Federal reserve would be able to do this directly? I know they can buy and sell Treasury bonds, but stocks directly? Surely this isn't true.?
If this is true, why nobody asks Jerome Powell about this during his Federal Reserve announcements every other month?
😢😢 I feel so sorry for you guys in the states. Biden is destroying America for the Roman Empires climate change agenda for the Common Good.😮😮
It should be extremely apparent we no longer have a free market.
Did we ever?
Did we ever?
It's a mercantile market
Free for who? One if by land. Two if by sea. Beware the internationalists
The free market in society is the only thing that can get a grip on this BS being shoved doen our throats!
Did you see the largest EV charging station in the world? It is at Harris Ranch and is powered by diesel generators.
Ironic and funny.
It’s located at the Harris Ranch in California right off the five freeway
😳❗️Oh NO ...
Maybe houses were less expensive, however they were also 1200 to 1500 Sq. Ft. People these days think they "must have" way more than they need. People do not need stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, travertine tile, 3 car garage, and all the other upgrades. Gluttony of today.
Hey I’m updating a bath in my 30 yr old home…quartz countertop! but vinyl plank flooring, nice new shower instead of old tub, new toilet!, it will be my oasis! But I get what you mean, it’s true what u say.
So true… my house is 1600 ft.and after living in it for 30 years I finally had a chance to update the main bathroom ( the other one is just a toilet and sink) main bath was over 40 years old and my house will be 85 years old this year. 🎉 people aren’t willing to just get by and live with what they have, they want all the latest and greatest.
We had 4 kids in one bedroom. At they built a bedroom for the girls. Three if us. People lived smaller and you had to share space
It's the "I want it now" instant mentality, instead of working and saving for a nicer house years later into your married life.
I purchased a 850 sq. ft. home in 2000, tiny, cramped, yes, but I paid off the balance of the mortgage, paid off the car also out of retirent savings. Just wanted my FREEDOM from tyrants, can't take it away unless I can't pay the f'n real estate taxes. Enough is enough, they just keep robbing us!
My first house was 7 3/4 % in 1971 House was $29,900
Wow sounds like a dream today
My first home rate in 1981 was 16%! We felt we scored a good deal because the seller carried half the paper at 12%.
This generation has no clue what’s coming. Buckle up Buttercup’s.
this bust is going to wipe out your pension. like when the soviet bloc collapsed. be careful.
My fist house 1982 in San Jose. I really git a deal. Assumed 1st at 8% second from seller 15%. What happened to assumable mortgages?
18% on a house valued at 75k. big deal
Yes, 8.58% interest in 1996....we still bought because the price was right...profitable @ 130,000 ten years later.
2020 I locked in at 3.62% sold the house a year later for a 20% return. Will never got that rate again :(
I'm 64, born and raised in New Jersey. When I was in high school, I had a teacher that said this would happen. As a 16 year old, we all laughed. He was totally accurate as to what he told us. Now I'm pissed off if they knew in the 70's this was coming, why the H didn't anyone do anything. Love your show, hearing " I got a goid one today" just makes my day. Thanks Dan
Interest rates are a function of supply and demand.... when folks won't pay the rates come down, but it the meantime business really slows down.
No one did anything because they were busy feathering their own nest, stealing what they could and taking everything they could get their hands on. It's been every one for themselves and to heck with the future and those that come after them.
I hear ya babe, my attitude the same....Thank You!
I believe there was a book 1984 or brave new world that told us
Prophecy:
"...what the fewest of us are prepared for is *TOTAL ECONOMIC COLLAPSE*."
"The Anti-Christ is already alive today. He will come as a great *FINANCIAL WIZARD... and a great healer and miracle worker...
"...his will be the strongest manifestation of Satan ever.
"People must pray incessantly not to be fooled...
"Satan is everywhere today -- in the Church, in the law, in medicine, in science, in the press and in the arts. But there is an area where he is for the greatest part running the entire show and that is in the *BANKS*.
"The West's greed has permitted this, and only God is now strong enough to stop it."
-Maria Simma, Catholic Mystic (1915-2004)
I can 100% confirm what Dan says about privacy and anonymity. My mother won IR£2,000 over 30 years ago in a newspaper competition. That was a lot of money back then. The newspaper published her name and address, and she got begging letters from around the world.
Noel in Ireland.
I can well imagine what took place all because of NO privacy. Winning was a blessing as well as a curse. There is a yin and a yang (good and bad) to everything it seems. My exact experience in this life, just sayin'.....
Is there any money left? I need some, please!
Dallas mayor got elected with 98% of the vote. Last week he switched parties to become a Republican. His reasoning fiscal sanity reality, lower taxes and law and order, no defund the police because the citizens want safe neighborhoods AND he wants more police that's how strongly he feels about public safety. The blue states and cities should heed this man! A great American! No city infestated with drug addicts and criminals allowed to roam free and pillage stores! How these politicians made it easy to enable criminal behavior is untenable in a civil society. They buckled to the pressure of the agenda driven lefties and their view of a "perfect society"! Time to restore America to sanity!
There is something wrong with the
mathematics, there
Not so certain he is a republican. Seems like he changed his political spots because he can read the tea leaves and knows if he stays liberal that he will be out of a paycheck.
Thank You! Exactly.....people need to wake the hell up already....quit drinking the f'n Kool Aid.....I digress....
The lefties make a lot of money dealing with crime -- it never goes to the programs which it is intended. And - the lefties have lots of safety and security for themselves - paid for by the US taxpayer. They don't work for America!!!
🎉 Congratulations Dallas 👍
We've been volunteering at the local food bank lately. Numbers have doubled since last year and starting to rise even faster. A homeless guy told me "I used to only see clunkers here, now the nice cars are starting to show up." They were...and people are sleeping in them.
This is the beginning.
the $856 dollars per month for an $86,000 home was still expensive then because the gross incomes were much lower. The old rule that you should not pay more than 2.5 times your annual income for a home still makes sense.
That means most people can't even afford a mobile home.
There was an elderly wealthy man in Indiana in the 1960’s-1970’s who had millions in his local bank. He began to distrust the economy and made weekly withdrawals of $100,000+ in cash for storage at his home. The police discovered large black trash bags everywhere in the home filled with cash after thieves had robbed and killed him. They were tracked down when they showed up to a local Ford dealership to buy a new Lincoln for cash in large bills.
Wow, just wow, I believe this situation is highly probable. As the saying goes, "just follow the money.". Answers a lot of questions....
Are you suggesting they should have used one dollar bills? haha
Cash is king for me, be prepared for anything governments can do. Hope on a plane and know you have money in a different country when the greedy get greedier. No amount of tax’s is enough when spending other peoples money.
My husband preaches privacy and tight lips about all our business - money and personal. I’ve always been an open book but he is so right about this. I actually feel more confident keeping our business and money info to ourselves. I used to tell people what I paid for things because I’m a savvy shopper and get great deals. Now, I say thank you when complimented and that is it. Keep ‘em guessing. It’s empowering.
That's right: no-one has a vested interest and cares for you both but yourselves. Being quiet, understated and low profile makes for a good life.
That’s only way to do it.
Your hubby is correct....just keep it zipped honey! God B
You've made a wise decision about keeping your cards closer to your chest. Today's world is about gathering as much personal information on as many people as possible. The Cyber Crime is increasing at a rate that has become terrifying. The Stock Market has been behaving differently for years when compared to 30-40 years ago. Fundamentals mean nothing anymore along with automated systems capable of triggering false swings in market prices in both directions, which are capitalized on by the Super Rich, Organized groups of Traders, and investors who are professionals in Market manipulation with the end result being fewer individuals while Equity Firms, Wall Street Banks, and Corporations themselves become more and more vested in each other's stocks and bonds. Fewer individuals are becoming the owners of most of the wealth in our country. Dan's right about taking personal inventory of your material items and assets. The days of collecting as much "stuff" as you possibly can are over. There's a saying my Grandparents used to quote all the time: "It's far more important that a person wants and enjoys the things they already have than to spend all of their time wanting the things they don't have." Again, I agree with Dan that there's something coming down the pipe that is going to change the way we currently live.
@@karenpayne1284 OOPS! LOL
I am so sick of fast food.....we've cut down quite a bit but once in a while we still to get some....ugh....I wish there was quality fast food....
Dan is correct you have to talk to people to get information. Thank you for your time Dan i learn a bunch from you. And dont tell peeps what you have or your kids could be kidnapped etc. Times are getting tough people do stupid things for $$$$. Personally I dress poor keeps people away from me. No bling for me, do I have nice items yes, I think its called stay under the radar.
I don't need to try to dress poor, at least we all don't need to have a continuous contest to see who can have the best clothes
@@pinkiesue849 I usually leave the house with grease on my pants and crappy shoes, because i work alot dont wanna ruin what good clothes i have. clothes dont matter its more about your personality i know at least 20,000 people were i live. minus peeps i know on the net. I grew up poor now I have millions so i like my childhood roots. Thanks for comment
I think it’s going to be a border crisis swan turned into an every thing crisis!! Thank you for your channel Dan. You always make sense and give good advice. Plus you give off good vibes!
I'm just making it @65 yrs old and I pray for all the seniors and homeless, vets ECT.
They will go down, just like Disney. We don't want electric cars.
No they’re going to shove electric cars and ride sharing down our throats !
They don’t want us to have electric cars; they want to take all cars away from us. Own nothing. Be slaves.
Yup
🤣🤣
electric vehical has its place but not everywhere it should be a choice to what you buy
I know someone whos entire family was tiedup & forced to open their safe - It was someone who worked for them & the family was ok but what a scary thought 💭- Tell No One what you have
Dan, my wife and I are seeing packages getting slightly smaller. We purchased some Tom's toothpaste, which we've always gotten in the 5.5 oz tube. Now the price went up by 20% AND the tube is now 4oz. !!!! Really? WTF.
Earlier this year we cancelled cable TV and Newspaper. We'd had newspaper for 30+ years, cable TV for 20. But we saved $300 per month, with just those 2 things. Bought a TV antenna for $40 and we're doing fine. I track our monthly expenses iin detail. I'm sure their is more we could cut.
Cut t.p next use old corn cobs like the hillbillies. Yep 95.00 a month to watch some reruns isn't worth it.
In Falling Down (1993), Michael Douglas loses it big time in a fast-food restaurant that just shifted from breakfast to lunch three minutes ago. 🎬
I think we're all super blessed that a highly successful business man like Dan is able to take time out of his busy schedule to make as many as 2 to 3 RUclips videos per day, 7 days a week, and keep us all abreast of the very diverse and sometimes confusing situations in world financial activities. And just the never ending manutoa
Is that last word :. Minutiae ?
Dan said his brain is working all the time --- no time to relax. This is what he loves!!!!
Amazing, get arrested for throwing coffee but people can steal hundreds of dollars of merchandise and the cops do nothing. What a sick country we've become.
Because of inflation that $86,000 that we paid for a house is now worth $250,000 because $1 then is worth $3 today. And yes, it was hard to pay a 10% mortgage.
Middle Tennessee here! One can't go out to eat anymore at a mediocre restaurant without having panhandler's in your face "asking" for money. Then shaming you when you say "no."
It not nobody fault that people lost their jobs during COVID and they got laid off and they didn't go look for another job or lost their job and lost their home because they are on drugs or didn't pay their rent . Or can't get a job because of criminal records and drugs . This is something people blame on someone else instead of their own self .
It's called a depression 😢
It's at the door
Dan, I can't walk without my walker for more than 10 minutes, but if you lived in Dallas, ( I live 1 1/2 hours south of Dallas) I'd go walking with you at least 1 day of the week. Wel, if it was 80 degrees or cooler. Glad you like us Texans. We really are friendly folks if you are a half way decent person.
I'll be your walker. You'll like me as a walker.
I've ALWAYS been a walker....and always will be.
@@robertwalker5521😂
LOL, We gave up fast food almost 20 years ago...HUGE lifestyle upgrade. It's almost comical as to us they don't even exist. A few years ago we gave up on eating out entirely as I love to cook and it became an expensive disappointment going to restaurants. As my wife is fond of saying "When you can cook like this at home it really is just stupid to eat out". I can make my own McRibs and anything else for that matter whenever I like with ground pork from our small town butcher, hamburger buns from the bakery department of our grocery store baked in house, seasoned/sauced perfectly and smothered in thinly slice onions and kosher dill pickle slices. Not bound by corporate rules, I don't use the more expensive and not as good oval buns not do I mold "ribs" into the patties because all they do is hinder the Maillard reaction (browning) on that side. Best of all, no waiting in line, no wrong orders, no dealing with crappy staff and customers, no over paying for the worst food they can get away with and above all we're eating the best food available at the lowest price, so low that it's laughable.
Cheers!
You aren't wrong about lottery winners! Most are clueless when it comes to managing that much money, and they'll blow through money that could be generational wealth within a few years, and suddenly discover they're broke - and wonder where it all went!
Resturants are getting too expensive and the quality of the food is failing as is the service.
I love your dry humor, Dan. 😄😄
The best holidays are spent with people who care for each other. All else is bonus🎉
WELCOME to Texas, DAN!❤

My son asked Santa for a barbecue pit at 2. I found a Mini Old Smokey. That pit was burned out in a year. Ha! My husband would light the big pit and his little pit every time. My son is a pit master. Then he grew up and cooked on the pit every evening. I made the sides. When he moved out on his own? I was lost😂😂😂😩😩😩😂😂😂😂 MOVE TO TEXAS DAN‼️
Dan I'm happy to hear you say you enjoy being in Texas, One thing you gotta try is a "Whataburger" They are one of our best kept secrets. Just walk in and order option #2 includes Burger, fries, and a drink. Brother you are going to love it! Dan you're one of my favorite utube people, you do a great job of informing, and entertaining us with your wit and insight please keep doing what you're doing. You have a friend in Texas.
‘Something stupid is about to happen’ 😂
So glad I learned from my grandmother how to cook from the Great Depression 👍🏻
Dan, our first house with 15 acres was 17,100 at 7% interest VA loan. Payment was $139. It was a struggle at times, but it was ours. Keep in mind we were living on $300 every two weeks. This was in 1971.

I think Your a smart and very common sense person! Love the channel!
Brother Dan, thank you so much for all your updates. It deepens my faith in our Creator and I keep my eyes looking up. Have a blessed day and enjoy your time in Dallas.
I'm the polar opposite of you. I'm 83 and the hide and seek game with the Creator is beyond tired. How can you be so grand to create all of this and yet never once say good morning and good night to your creation? Something is wrong with the whole picture, I think we've been duped.
The catastrophe about to overwhelm the world economy has been coming foe a LONG time, certainly almost 60 years, since 1964, although some roots of it go back much further, to 1910 and the meeting of the financial magnates of the time on Jekyll Island, and their plans to start the Federal Reserve. Be that as it may, in 1964, faced with his desire to pass his "Great Society" social welfare legislation, as well as fund a great expansion of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War to boost the economy through spending on the military industrial complex, Lyndon Johnson removed the last vestiges of United States real money, silver coinage and silver certificate bills convertible to silver coinage at any bank, because having to back dollars with silver limited domestic spending. If the U.S. no longer was bound by silver money, but went on purely fiat currency, paper bills and coins made from base metals, it would allow the government to run the deficit spending necessary to achieve his aims.
This led to currency inflation, and a drop in the purchasing power of the dollar, which upset the U.S. balance of payments for imported goods. Nations began to demand being paid in gold to settle the balance, which led to a drop in the gold reserves being held by the U.S. To stop this outflow, Nixon was forced to close the gold window, and since then the U.S. has been on a purely fiat money system.
Some people foresaw what is occurring today as far back as 1964. I was just 11 years old, but I remember my father explaining to me how Johnson removing the silver backing of the dollar and running deficit spending would lead to price inflation, and eventually to the destruction of the U.S. economy. Sadly, because of the U.S. military power, the rest of the world was coaxed or bullied int also falling for the Keynesian lies, so that now the catastrophe will be world wide.
Is it any wonder that, faced with this impending economic doom, and the inevitability of a population rising up in righteous wrath at their leadership for the mess, and out for bloody revenge, the powers that control the U.S. and its vassal states keep poking the Bear over a conflict that is none of their business, intent on provoking World War 3 and nuclear Armageddon ? God help us all.
- Most of this " job growth " are people who were PAID TO STAY HOME going back to work ... 🙄 "'
I have never understood why that make a lottery winners name public. It puts the winner's life at risk.
Love the horse sculptures! Horses built America. Don't think many have ever thought of it.
Something wicked this way cometh.
Neat! I have been where you are many times. Many of us Texans can no longer afford to live here anymore..
Pit masters are great at what they do. I’ve been in Texas all my life. Dallas till 30years old. Fort Worth from 30 to now.
I Love the Horses in the fountain! Metro Bank is Crashing in the UK.
Keep your cars and hand them down.
I really miss my old six cylinder pickup , three on the tree ,crank up windows and AM radio .....
Here's a good one, my friend said the homicide detective was asking family about his grandma disappeared 10 years ago. And believe her body is buried on the farm by grandpa. Wait till the mex new owner has the Texas Rangers show up with backhoe and ground radar. Dallas, crazy.
I’ve used AGeless Collagen and I went back to boiling beef bones. much cheaper and works just as well.
I think you are bang on ... somethings coming...
Don't worry, Dan! When I hit the Powerball tonight I'm changing my name AFTER getting the lawyers and the LLC, etc.! ;-)
Had my oil changed at the dealership (came free as part of offer to buy car). They are charging a 2.75% surcharge if use use a credit card to pay for service. They are upfront with it, but how many businesses are just adding it into the basic cost?
The last new vehicle was a 2008 Dodge Laramie 3500 diesel. Sticker price was around $75,000. It has 82,000 kilometres on the clock. It will last me the rest of my life. I bought another roadster this spring a 1999 Mazda MH5 with
120,000 on the clock, it’s my daily driver and will also last me the rest of my life. The people ahead of me to purchase this car could not get the money due to the economy, my fist full of cash bought me the car at my price. Poor economic times are not bad for everyone.
In a Lowes and Home Depot today both were empty. Lowes had a few people buying Pumpkins and Mums. The Mum a very small one $5.99. Home Depot was crickets and a once nice store is a disaster and minimal staff. Christmas and Halloween stuff out - a really unattractive artificial tree $499. The HD just rented a vehicle to a women and when she did not return it and they ran the credit card it was 'surprise' not valid.
Don’t always like the message, but love the backdrops! Thanks for your great reporting.
Hello Dan, welcome to Texas. I hope everyone treats you with respect and kindness. Texans are known to be big-hearted. I hope they all live up to their reputation. I live about 125 miles east of Dallas in East Texas. Here is where you will see a lot of green trees. Take care.
Tejas and the culture is changing with the influx of out of states and many new third world foreigners, keep our tacos pure, lol oh, well can't fight city hall!😢
I am surprised that those horses are not destroyed by now. Must be a sheriff nearby.
WHY woukld you ever be in a McDonalds !!
Gas prices are down in Georgia because Governor is not taxing it price as low as 2.88 here
History always repeats itself.. We just don’t LEARN from IT..
We are the “Product of our Society”. Life is Ultimately Choices. Humility is what’s coming and we will see how “United” we are
Dan, AAA upped my insurance $600 this year ($50 a mo) and I have never filed a claim. Diesel @ an unbranded fuel station (used to be the cheapest in town) Buttermilk Acres, Ridgecrest, CA $6.29 a gallon.
Nice horsies in the background Dan. Thanks for the eye candy you provide along with the facts of our ongoing demise🩵
Living here in Detroit area, all I can say is that the UAW workers only care about themselves while non-union folks lose their jobs. I see it as a double edge knife....cars built by UAW will get too expensive and I no longer see myself buying a new car since I don't see a NEED to buy one......interest rates are finally going up and the past ten years of free money is over! Major manipulation in almost everything.
I had a guy that paid me $10,000 for a company I had closed.
He never opened it back up again
THANKS! Go figure.
I was in Austin last month, had to stop at Terry Black's. Nothing compares and I'm sure if I lived there it would be six months 'til I had my first heart attack.
Dan, you Crack me up 😂 thanks for making me laugh today. Been under a lot of stress lately. Much needed laughter. Thanks again😊
My Medicare part D prescription plan is going from $28 and change to $64 for the new year. Unbelievable!
Like Notorious B.I.G. said Mo Money, Mo Problems!!!
It’s going to be big, bad, stupid and irreversible. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
If one of the big 3 goes bust it won't just have a trickle-down effect in the economy, it will be a tsunami of misery coming to a neighbourhood near you..
Have you noticed how many times the Powerball or mega now reach over 1 billion on a regular basis? isn't that strange how it was a super rare event and now its a regular event. I wonder why?
Something stupid and more is and has been happening. The question is, are you just going to talk about it, or do something about?
Just out of curiosity, what are you doing about it? Maybe talking about it is the first step in doing something about it. How else would people become aware?
Nah, I'm on my yacht. Who cares?
Most places make smoked meat and depend on the sauce to make up for it. If you need sauce it's not good BBQ.
Dan you are talking about how people have a short fused nowadays let me relate a story to you from Canton Texas about 10 years ago I accidentally left a small tub of ketchup on top of my car as I drove away from the fast food restaurant and noticed a monster truck behind me in a menacing manner and he tried to run me off the interstate with the pit maneuver because the ketchup fool off my car and hit his monster truck luckily I was in my 325I which has very quick handling and was able to avoid a collision. if you notice somebody following you in a menacing manner take evasive action immediately and get off of the road and away from them
Hi Dan, thanks for another really good one! :-) makes my day to listen to you and your hair looks really good. :-)
God Bless you Dan!!!!❤

today as an example of frustration....we drove into a Micks and ordered two ice cream cones....sorry, ice cream machine is down...ugh...but the worse thing is we were in the drive thru and couldn't get out and hate to wait.....
Im in Yonkers ny with no homeowners claims in years and my insurance went ups 759 a year not the usual 50 a year with Travelers. My flood policy went up 250 a year and no claims.
You are correct somethings bad going to happen I live in California I just retired from the military and civil service and I’m still having a hard time so I’m planning just to deport California and basically store over at 71 that should be a fun thing. Thank God I have health.
You can do it!
Cali here..starting over at 68...can't wait. Everydays a journey..good luck to us!
Texas is great! Come on over!!
I haven't had a McRib for probably 20 or 25 years. I remember them tasting very good, but they were very high in calories. There's a burger place near me, in VA, called BGR. I've never eaten there. The food always smells terrific when I pass by. They now have a monthly burger called an Oktoberfest. I looked up the price, $18.75. I would never pay that much. I remember when hamburgers were five dollars at Chili's and I thought that was a lot of money. That was sometime in the 90s.
FDA has approved lab created meat for restaurants. Just FYI
DAN: perhaps all the 70 chemicals in Mikey Dee foods is causing customers rage?

Where are all the people? I haven't seen a single person.
