Same. Especially knowing about the Paul Harrell situation. Lost my dad 3 years ago and with every person that I have any respect for who passes, it just feels like it stacks up fast and I'm thankful for the older folks on that list that are still around and healthy.

Want to smile even more? I traded in 2 break action single shot shotguns + $400 to make my first purchase, a WASR at 18 years old. The shotguns were gifts as a teen but I wanted something I could shoot more than 1 shot lol

It’s a bit weird Oliver and I bought the same first rifle AND the same first handgun.
Saw Chris play in Houston on Tuesday. He got a standing ovation. Hope that was a much needed confidence boost.
Hickok 45 never fails to impress me with his knowledge on guns and his ability to have guests that are popular and important in relevant times ! Hickok 45 is always at the top of my watch list.

As a retired soldier, the fact that the AK was the preferred rifle of our most likely enemies was precisely the reason why I had to have one. I was always of the opinion that a soldier should own a close approximation of his issued firearms and those of his enemies in order to ensure familiarity and ease of use. As well as accuracy.

I'm no commie but Ak's are the prettiest rifles out there, a wood stock FAL is a close second.
They have a good feel.
I have one AK and just about one of every other category of firearm. My 5 year old grandson picked out the AK as his favorite and we can't really figure out why.

My first personal Long gun was a Ak-47 with a Choate custom stock set with a 75 round drum. The AK itself i bought at a Rose's department store back in 1998 for 99 bucks on sale. It's like a Carpenters hammer, it can take a pounding and give one back all day. It saved me in Grenada when my AR failed me and i had to toss it and pick up an enemy weapon.
Hickok reminds me of a good friend of mine who was a Virginia State Trooper that passed away 5 years ago. Him and I would get together and reload ammo, target shoot many times. He was also shooting instructor. Plus Oliver the first time I saw his video of him and his hit song Rich man North of Richmond he looked just like my x son in-law . Who I still have a great relationship with , he is a Staunton Police officer, but just a good country boy, here in Virginia.
Why am I not surprised that Mr. Anthony is a very cool good ole boy? Outstanding, gentlemen.

I was young and poor when I bought a mak 90 for I think it was $345ish? long time ago. ARs were around 1200 and up at the time. We used to justify buying the cheaper ak and sks by buying into the hype about the AR being unreliable. The “Mattel gun”.
I still have a wasr, and love to shoot it, but the AR is really the better firearm. Reliable and ergonomically superior.
