The color of the engine bay is most likely the original color of the entire truck. The access panel in the bed is factory. It's so you can get to the fuel tank sending unit to the fuel gauge and fuel line connections.

I’ve owned several classic Datsun vehicles. I loved them all. I still have 1 and i lovingly refer to it as the rust king. 👍
