Very clean for June
The homies.. killing it, like always👌🏼
By far the best/most dynamic expression of any battery in DCI
Who's the section leader Paul?
It's Brad!
GO NICK!!!!
Best book of the year!
Probably the most underrated drumlin. In my opinion.
Looking and sounding great! I love their energy!
whoa they're really solid for June...so many great lines this year
Yeah. It's gonna be hard to pick who's gonna win drums this season!
THE SPACE
Very original, creative and musical! One of the best drum musical I've heard so far. You deserve best drum line 2016. Good luck and keep the creativity going...
Hell yeah one of my favorites drum lines
These guys go so hard.
This opening statement is killer, but it's even better with the front ensemble!
God this line is sounding like a hybrid of Bluecoats and SCV with their writing, tuning, and technique. Sounds SOOOO solid for this early in the season.
That's probably because their caption head/arranger has been with all three of these corps at some point. Mike Jackson: ascendperformingarts.org/mike-jackson/
I thought the exact same thing. The writing and the snare tuning is very similar. And they are definitely a solid line again this year.
Fucking beautiful writing and technique. LOVE IT!
That tuning! Awesome beats!
daaaaamn
Wow! BK is sounding great so early in the season. Keep it up guys!
2nd piece was fantastic
Those drums are so pretty 😍😍
Mapex😍😍
I like the snare book wayyy better than the past 2 years
Hey Nicole
Love the opening
The beginning is the best the intensity
reminds me of broken city
Same guy writes both groups music
MFBK!
Those beats are ruff.
Yeah you can tell because they're dragging so much
Sabeel Khurram. this is true.
omfg
at 38 seconds did they all just call out my fake jordans
That play style reminds me of the Mark Thurston days at the Crossmen. Very tasty beats people. Very tasty indeed!
A young bunch. Hope they stay and grow the program. They're good now......one or two years.....Imagine?
Clean ruffs!
I don't think they had enough drags, half a million wasn't enough.
busy little book they got there.....some of that funk.....Ralph Hardimon baby.....
3:10
Holy moly the centre snare needs to chill. 😂
Connor Rutherford Do you mean in the beginning Is the intense part
3:09. coolness beyond words
2nd piece tenor part reminds me of 07 bluedevils
I feel like their book is easy to learn but a fucking bitch to clean.
Can we expect academy ?:)
Yes! Would love to see some :)
+inspadave I support your comment. Tons of lines, especially some individuals, hype the fuck out of their book. I personally find it a little distracting. But, in sum, if they are hyping the fuck out of their in rehearsal, in the lot, and in the show then hype probably won't be where the dirt comes from (if it comes). Also, there is at least two triplet rolls with someone rushing the first left hand. So there's the dirt
0:38. How to properly grab the booty
It seems like the book is pretty simple. At least they added an overkill of GE to compensate for the lack of complexity. Thanks for an Awesome Video!
their style the last few years have been ostinato based. i dig it. it might look easier, but the details run deep.
been digging their stuff the last few years.
Simple? lolwut
I agree to a point. Not many crazy hybrids, however I would say that the complexities can be found in the timing required to play this book. And if you don't think you need crazy experienced hands to play this stuff, you would be wrong.
Brian Budd -- I understand. I also know how difficult this type of book is to execute cleanly.
space is the killer
So far, im only digging BDs snare tuning and sound
Hey man! Can you please get footage of Spartans this year my friend Is in the snare line and I can't go see him at any shows..:(
00.07 "AAAHHHH RAAGGE FLAMMS
my marching band does to much stuff with the drum line we would end up ripping that one leg spandex part to bits.
Aggressive, finesse, very particular style, explosive, dynamic. Intriguing writing style. Who wrote this?
Mike Jackson
Please tell me you got the bluecoats encore this year
This was from the west coast competition
+hithere327 I know but whomever runs this channel has recorded the Bluecoats encore performance the past two years and I really hope they did this year somehow
Every year there's typically two Massillon shows. I always go to the one in August, and I still plan on doing that. Don't worry!
+DrumCorpsTube Great! Keep up the great content!
Are they using Thom Hannum's?
Nope Mike Jacksons
+PandaSageMode the lighting makes it look like the color of the Thom Hannum's
+Robbie Lyons haha damn i dont see how you could tell what sticks they were from that far away, unless they were promarks smh. But i am just certain they use Mikes because hes the caption head after all
I'm not doubting you lol. They probably are. I just go off of color most of the time.
0:38 *inhales* BOI
Some of that feels like '92s line, but I am drunk, so whatever . . .
Expressive without the WGI nonsense.
Talking about hyping the shit out of your book.
Guys, you are playing cool beats, but calm the fuck down. Hype can lead to hyper which can lead to dirt.
So where's the dirt then?
Nathan Pho
I said it **could** lead to dirt. Read man. Read.
+Inspadave so to translate your original comment: this is very clean, but it could be dirty so change what you're doing. great advice
Thats very true. But the motiv and style in this group is to let your emotions out musically, thus creating " performance." Thats a very risky style but the feel of it is good from player to player. Im sure they know when to control it, na dmy god there sure can control it right now with what they are letting out.
and my god*
