This is beautiful. To put on my pretentious hat, there are phrases in this video that resonate like poetry.
This the most real video I love it. You weren't talking about yourself like other people in these videos do. And you described the situation of been a friendless adult. It had humour. And you gave me a blast from the past with that game. I love this :D
i love Khyan's videos. it makes me feel better to know there are people like him in the world.
Watching this is like listening to my journal being read with a smooth voice with a lovely British accent.

Exercising, getting a job and starting a new hobby doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna make friends, it's hard to find people who you truly connect with. Fair enough you'll probably find someone to chat to/have lunch with but that doesn't mean you're close friends :)

This is a really thoughtful (and funny) video. You are right - friends are the best riches we can have, and it gets harder when you are not part of some organisation in which you naturally have contact with people regularly. Friendship happens most easily when people do a task together. That can lead naturally to a shared drink or meal. If two people get on well, one of them has to be first to suggest/propose the next thing to do together. Someone has to take the risk of the other saying No.
I really enjoyed the “different” style, Khyan. Good stuff.

I really like your videos because i can actually REALLY relate to the situations that you've been in, and you can actually tell that your not B.S. us and just making up the story to make us laugh. You can really tell that these things have happend to you.

i literally just finished uni, i'm couch surfing at my sisters house cause i cant afford to intern and rent in London and my uni friends have now dispersed all over the place leaving me pretty much by myself too! Unless i go back home to visit 'home friends', making new ones is proving rather difficult! and also, the train/bus/tube situation does suck being pressed up against strangers who never ever talk to one another. Its the busiest most anti-social city i've ever been in.

beyond your topic, which I found interesting (i'm a uni student leaving for the "real world" soon), you have a very good sense of storytelling. the words you chose, the way you spoke them, all of the elements that my speech class would love to imbue on me makes it hard to believe you (of all people) would have a hard time making friends. in any case, i'm glad youtube has become your medium and i hope you find other mediums to engage your style :)

i've seen a quite a few of your videos and your style of vlogging reminds me of stand up comedy have you ever considered doing it? plus its a good chance to meet friends and do something you like outside of the house. I think you should try it, that or maybe try being a radio dj.

Sounds like a plan. Volunteering might be a better way of getting to know people. Doing things together (not alongside one another) to achieve a result is what builds friendships. It is a paradox: if we focus on something else, friendship can creep up on us. But then someone has to take the risk to take friendship to another level.

You've seen me Khyan, I'm not exactly the best at being social, so I understand the loneliness.
Yeah, I was thinking of giving it a fair crack once I move to London. A lot of my latest vlogs have been inspired by stand-up, but I don't think it necessarily makes for the best vlog, because I wasn't taking advantage of how visual a medium it is, and the benefits of editing. I want to move towards being more visually creative, try and get in more cutaways - when I can be bothered.
'Johnny B' is obviously just Khyan re-living his lonely childhood ;)

I like khyan because the things he talks about are real, relevant, ugly but true, tragically sad but alas true, and well. because his videos make me kind of, well, contemplate. if you read this thought, khyan, you don't have to sound so depressed (unless that's how you naturally sound.. if so, no problem) Life, after all, is the bad with all the good.

That's how I've always made friends. All the friendships that have ever really *stuck*, you know, are ones where we were 9-11 years old and one of us just said "Do you want to be friends?"
Sure, there are those friendships that grow in due to proximity or lack of other options, but those have seemed doomed to be scrubbed away with a bit of bleach like the mold they are.
