Always great content from Meme's Worms. Thank you very much for taking the time.
Thank you!
Never really messed with the European night crawlers, I had night crawlers back in the 60s, but you gave me some great information!
Awesome
Great info I love the grinder machine. That would save me so much time!
Glad it was helpful!
Great vid Samantha!!! Them ENCs look awesome!!
Thank you!
Just ordered a pound of your mixed species, can't wait for those to get here to add to my pots. Seeing these videos lead me to make my purchase from yall. I can see where they came from and can trust they will be healthy
Thank you so much!
Thank you it’s an informative video
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. 😎
Glad you enjoyed it
I love you video. What kind of grinder are you using to grind up that peat moss?
It's by unco. You can find it on thier website. It's a pulverizer
Do your Euro bins dry out quicker without a cover on them? Do they prefer no cover?
Yes they do. I prefer a piece of cardboard or bubble wrap to help hold in the moisture.
what do use for just bedding in your trays and kind of grinder are you using and where did you get from
Thanks Hugh Nauman Grand Bend Ontario
Grinder amzn.to/3twsfeh
50/50 dairy manure and pitt moss
You should consider a small cement mixer to mix your worm mix.
We have one. We use it at times.
Do you get fungus gnats with the damp peat moss sitting around?
Sometimes. It's best to keep cardboard shreds over it.
I fed my Europeans chow and still don't get 2 big, i gotta figure something out 2 fix that issue. I wanted 2 ask you , where do you get your bait cups all that good stuff? I live on a lake 1 of the largest in Texas and it's a very popular fishing/tourism spot and I'm trying 2 get my toes in that game as well. You helped alot and I thank you so much, more help on doing the bait worms sure would be appreciated. Thank you very much!
You need to divide them and give them room. Then mix the feed like in the video. The bait cups I get from www.wholesalebait.com
@@MemesWorms ok, I have my Europeans in old igloo, ice chest. I got tons of them but they aren't really big worms. Im using what I have honestly, and thank you very much for the link.
Thank you. So you don't feed the ENCs you worm chow in the grower bins?
We do sometimes. But this is our main receipe for the euros.
@@MemesWorms thank you.
@@troydunn6228 Your welcome
How long will a big batch like this last if you don't use it all right away? Will it "go bad" if it sits several weeks?
It won't go bad
Hi enjoyed watching your videos. I was able to find everything but the black trays in the video and description. I'd like to build a similar wood framed wall and those black tray bins look to be the perfect size. Do you mind providing the link to where you purchased them. Also, are you not selling products anymore? I noticed when clicking on your product links in description it threw a 404 error code.
Im not sure why the links arent work8ng ill have to check them out. The black trays are martor trays from lowes. You find them in the cement section.
@@MemesWorms how much did you pay for yours? I found some that are 26x20x6 for a little over 8 bucks.
Yeap thats about what i paid
Does this mix get hot and if so do you just wait a few days before putting the worms in ?
It can heat up so we usually let it sit at least a week.
Do you use anything more environmentally friendly rather than peat moss?
We also use Pitt moss. We are currently experimenting with it.
"Don't ever stick your fingers in these things" - because worms don't like fingers 😉
That's right
How should 2 pounds of your ENC be split into the motar bins so they stay big/fat or get bigger like they are in the video? How many bins should be used for 2 pounds? Also thank u so much for your videos, they are so beyond helpful!!!
each bin should have 500 worms until you get them as big as you want.
@@MemesWorms thank u!!!
Meme great job always
Are Euros and big reds the same worm
Yes they are those arw both common names but one and the same
What grinder are you using
We got it on Amazon, the iink should be in the description
What machine is that?
It's the mini pulvizer vermiculture.com/product/mini-pulverizer/
What is that Peatmoss grinder called?
Unco industries has them. Ots a pulviriser
@MemesWorms I just got started 3 months ago. I have about 15k worms. My goal will be a big worm farm, up in the far northwest of Washington state. Thx, soo much for the info. Love the vids!
You are very welcome
How long does it takes for your euros from they hatch to get that fat?
About 8-10 weeks if we stay on schedule feedings
Don’t use cardboards as a bedding for European nightcrawlers as well?
You can but we dont
Why can't a person use cardboard?
They just do better in peat for us.
Meme do you still add the powdered milk?
No
@@MemesWorms any bad reason? I'm still adding it. Thanks
No just didn't want to buy it.
No just didn't want to buy it.
I appreciate the reply. I'm still working on my worm barn.
Do the EN eat the peat moss too.
Worms axtually eat the microbes so when sucking in the microbes the do get bedding too so yes.
Those are some nice fat worms.
