I have the same problem with my 40 series all of the sudden my lights gone crazy and I am not motivated to fix this problem . But your video gave me motivation to get back on it . Thank you your videos are awesome. 👍
OMG, I feel your pain brother! The look of dejection after you re-installed the loom and it still didn’t work, I’ve been there before on countless projects. Way to stick with it and kudos for figuring out that mystery.
Thanks again! Inspiring. I enjoy your Aussie vocabulary and just noted that you refer to your 40 as a Caar, state side we generally refer to 40s as trucks.
Woohoo! I know we only see a short clip of how much work you actually put into it so cheers to you for being victorious over the wiring issue. That's one major hurdle you can move past and that much closer to finishing up the 40. Good luck and keep up the great work.
I haven't watched a lot of your updates for a while because I've been pretty busy, so I just had a bit of a binge session. Good to see your progress mate. I really need to crack on with my shorty now.
Great effort Jayson. We've all been there! You think you have it nailed and then the wiring bites you in the arse! Reminds me I still have the taillights on my 45 to sort... 🙈
I had the same issue with the wiring on a set of new blinkers I bought a few years back with the colours not matching up with the old and the earth wire.
Hi, I been watching some of your videos, but after this one I definitely subscribe, o yeah,.....thanks for your time and effort to share your venture with your FJ40.......great job and keep going it.
I had similar problem with my wiring harness Mouse ate a part of the rear harness ended up making a new wiring harness from scratch best thing I could have done no problems everything works like it should👍
...lol, told you so - sorry... 50 year old wiring and instruments. You will get 'er done!! Your project is looking awesome, keep plugging away at it. Great videos...
Where did you get those indicator assemblies? Strange that colours aren't oem toyota if they're genuine? The US spec ones are wired differently and might have different lenses, I think I was surprised to find they were directional but I might be remembering incorrectly.
I bet you wished you hadn't used all that black tape... hahaha I stopped doing that a while ago. the tape does not last very well and it makes it a pain if you need to do a repair.
Glad you got it sorted out. It’s looking awesome!
Well done! I'm right in the middle of my electrical now. Nice to know that I'm not the only one struggling.
Stay with it mate!

Thanks mate, and the tray backs we call utes. But some do call them trucks in the land of Oz too.

Congrats on the win
No pain .. no gain.
The only painful thing about is a realisation my wiring is still dingling in the dash.
