...dang dude, the guy comes out to help all day and didn't even have a beer for him - no wonder you get no volunteers! LOL, hey, the truck is really coming together. You have to love putting the "fun parts" in on a truck with a beautiful fresh coat of paint. You are doing a top shelf job -= thanks for the vids!
Yep, a nice change from wiring as you say all the Fun part, great to be able to stand back at the end of the day and see results! All willing to offer a beer and lunch to anyone that helps 🍻
@@40ChannelCruiser now that's asking for a major problem! Never say anything is easy! With wiring on Land Rovers your certain that Lucas the Prince of Darkness is always waiting in the back ground!😂😂
Hey mate I’m fifteen and just bought a 1976 fj45 Ute to restore with my dad for my first car, i was wondering where you got your paint from. Your vids are gonna help heaps thanks mate. I’ll probably be coming back with some questions sooner or later
Hi mate, great to hear that you and Dad are build a FJ45 together, As well as building memories! I brought my paint from "Auto west paint supplies". But any auto paint shop should be able to help you out and mix up any colour you would like. Feel free to continue to ask questions, it the best way to learn from others.
G'day Mark, I would remove the duct i Under the passage side first and then remove the heater hoses on the right hand side, (there will be coolant in the hoses so have a towel and small jug down to catch the water)there is 4 bolts holding it on the fire wall, and the side duct pipe can stay on the heat box when removing. Hope this helps
Started to strip off the rust and paint on my fj40. On the under side of the hood there is a support pice of steel. It was spot welded at the end but in the middle it looked like it was glued or caulked. I sanded those off my what would you suggest I do for the middle. Do I glue it or spot weld it?
I just drove almost 800 miles round trip to pick up a 1969 FJ40. It needs completely redone top to bottom. I just wanted you to know this is all your fault.

Where did you get the vinyl floor and does it have a sticky backing
We got it from trufitcarpets.com.au
It has been heat moulded so it sits in very well it doesn't have a sticky back and it doesn't really need one.
the vinal floor where to get ? thank you

Don't weld it, it needs to flex. I used 227 sikaflex. You can paint over it too.
hey me again just wondering where you got all you engine gaskets from
Hi Ryan, I get all of my mechanical parts and rebuild kits from onlineautoparts.com.au
