    you don't blow the dust, but suck it up with a vaacum.. exactly when you lifted the filter assembly at @3:55, you let many dust get into the fuel. duh!!!

    I noticed you didn't actually replace the filter material, the triangle padding at the bottom, but you replaced the inner housing, wouldn't it make sense to do the opposite? Just replace the filter padding material itself, and just clean the plastic housing? Btw which type of grease would you use for the O-rings that won't contaminate the gas, but still do it's job by lubricating?

      That housing IS the actual filter. That bottom mesh is a screen, which, if it were me, I would clean.

    When you pulled it out of the tank, the excess flexible fuel inlet line was inside the housing. On reassembly it is not inside.

    Did you clean the filter on the bottom of the orange piece before you put it back on? It looked really dirty initially, then when you put it back on, it looked much cleaner.

    you left the fuel hose outside the can.

      Noticed routing of fuel hose wrong on the outside and why not replace the strainer?
