@@igorpestun8703 I agree and to that end I had an email conversation with a Mazda Engineer from Rayong, Thailand, near where I live about 3 years ago. I have a 2016 cx-9 with 116,000km, the transmission has just started to jerk a little when upshifting or downshifting from 4-5 & 3-4. Transmission fluid has never been changed. Do you think changing the ATF fluid (drain and fill) and changing the filter would fix the jerking? Will I need to reprogram/reset the transmision software?
Thanks!
Unfortunately, i ithink it's too late to change oil. I wouldn't fix the problem. Changing oil on this high mileage can ruin the transmission. You can try to change oil with flushing, but keep in mind that gearbox can fail after that.
I disagree. That’s only 72,000 miles. Change it. Do a drain and fill with filter replacement. Your car will shift like new guaranteed.
@@stefanmohler2994 This is correct. drain and fill is safe, but never do a flush if you haven't been changing it regularly before.
I have a Volvo with 140k miles. Two drains and fills with Valvoline Maxlife universal fluid took care of hard shifts for a year before I had to do another drain and fill, this time using Lucas transmission additive.

Can you make a vid including complete transmission flush?
Yeah, sure. If this work on a next car will be negotiated with a customer. I assume it will not be Mazda.

The interior cabin air filter as well as the engine air filter are very easy to change
Anyone know how much transmission fluid a 2017 NA CX-5 takes?

What year is that CX5? If it has red ATF, its pre 2012 Post 2012, all new mazdas used blue FZ ATF. If its post 2012, why are you using red ATF? The FZ has no service interval, but there is nothing stopping you from taking a tiny sample to see what colour it has become and a drain/top-up x2.
I have not heard of anyone having a problem with FZ ATF even without toping up.
Well, changing oil it is always a good idea. Oil was a customer's choice. I don't remember what year is this car.
@@igorpestun8703 I agree and to that end I had an email conversation with a Mazda Engineer from Rayong, Thailand, near where I live about 3 years ago. The FZ is a longer lasting ATF than the red stuff. The TCM continually monitors its performance and adjusts the timings to remove shift-shock and shudder of the transmission. He stated that it would be possible to do a drain/top-up and the TCM will notice the change in performance and re-adjust. He stated that the ATF cooler should prevent overheating of the ATF, but a dashboard alarm will illuminate if the ATF exceeds 130C. In which case a drain/top-up x 2 would be appropriate and prevent problems.

What should I do ?
Should I just change the filter and the oil located in the oil pan which is approximately 4.3 Liters or should flush the whole transmission oil ?
By just changing the 4.3 Liter on the oil pan and filter should be better than nothing and might not cause any issues or slippage.
Please, let me know
Hello. Well it's already a high mileage for oil, changing it now, might lead to transmission fail, cause of all dirt and wear contaminations which already inside. Maybe you should start changing oil step by step, try to change liter per week, during month. And then flush it flush it with 4 liters and change oil with filter.
