STORYLINE:
The tallest man in the United States crossed the country on Thursday so that shoe engineers could make special shoes strong enough to support his massive frame.
Igor Vovkovinskiy - who''''s 7 feet, 8-and-a-third inches (2.3 metres) tall - flew from Minnesota to Massachusetts on Thursday to be fitted for his US size 22 feet (European size 58, UK size 21).
At Reebok''''s headquarters in Canton, the 29-year-old underwent a complex process that involved - among other things - custom pressure-mounting equipment, imprints in bio-foam, a powerful three-dimension scanner to map the shape of his feet, calipers to take precise measurements of length, tape measures, and a handful of technicians.
Those measurements are particularly tricky because Vovkovinskiy has unusually shaped toes and feet following numerous operations.
The size of his shoes depends on measurements such as the length, width and distance from his soles to the top of his feet.

I wear size 14 or 15 I'm only 6 foot but have fat feet I get most of my sneakers at Ross and can sometimes get them for $19.99 or $25...just got addidas crazy explosive and Curry 2 last week

Most men save for cars, stereos, Igor saved for shoes. But he's right, without the proper' shoes to wear he was a prisoner in his home.
Some men might enjoy that but not all men.
I live in that world. Have yet to find shoes that fit my wide and short feet. When I get out of college, an employer will just have to make exceptions that I can’t find any professional looking shoes that fit my feet. I couldn’t find shoes that could fit my feet for high school graduation either.

Taller than Igor? They say Igor was 7ft9"+ I've seen videos of Sandy Allen who was 7ft-7¼" and even though she was young, she sometimes had a cane.
She finally passed on in a hospital bed. She couldn't walk anymore. If she stood up, it looked as if she has curvature of the spine. She couldn't stand erect!
And. .I seen a very big 6ft-8" woman, who got around pretty well. She was UConn Basketball player, Kara Wolters. But she was like 19-20 years old.. back in 1990.
I got her autograph.. I felt so tiny next to her. Barely came up to her belly LOL
