- Igor Vovkovinskiy, who at 7 feet 8 inches is America's tallest man, received a hi-tech surprise from the folks at Reebok - shoes that fit like a dream. WCCO-TV's Holly Wagner reports.

@@jaydenford8302 don't think he paid for them but to hire designers, source materials, set molds and machinery for these one off kicks definitely isn't cheap for them. Ran some mock numbers, if 10 designers making 50k a year spent 2 weeks on these labor cost alone would be over $20,000

@Trent Mage if a team of 8 people took a month to design and manufacture them with custom parts them it's like 1/12th of their annual salaries combined + production costs. A friend and myself tried to prototype a special type of storage device. It was ultimately a wooden box with some plastic. Nothing special but the prototype was quoted at 10k for one unit.

One-off shoes are EXTREMELY expensive to make. A lot of personel has to be mobilized in order to produce it. If new technolgy is being tested and used, it gets even more expensive. I can see those 3 pairs costing 25k, easily.
