Another thing is watch your password length. Here is what happened to me: I got a xbox series x and while I could log into that and my xbox one for xbox live without an issue , when I got a used 360 I wasnt able to access xbox live on it but I could on the other consoles with the exact same password. I tried everything and couldn't figure it out, then it hit me. As we know the 360 does put dots in place of letters for passwords and I noticed after about 12 letters or so it stopped adding dots. However my password was about 16 letters. So it was counting those missed letters as an error even though I typed them it just capped them out. I tested this with a much shorter password as a test and it finally worked. Hope this helps someone with a 360 who is irritated because they wanna use it and can't use xbox live there but can everywhere else.

i had this same issue but this method didn’t work in the current date 2022 but instead of the account outlook i used hot mail i created the account in outlook just put create an account and u have an option of outlook or hot mail just click the button and it gives u the option
