Imagine how hard it was to coordinate 3 perfectly timed shots at 3 targets inside of a dinky life boat with low-visibility windows at the same exact time while floating over an ocean at night. Not to mention the pressure those snipers were under as the situation worsened.
    Absolutely legendary.

Cool fact: One of the snipers that killed the pirate here saving Phillips is named Glen 'bub' Doherty. He was depicted again in another movie in a future battle called "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" (highly recommend). He unfortunately died from a mortar blast but the dude was a certified badass for real.
Edit: Some people think I mean the fact he died is cool. That is false. I think it's a cool fact he was a badass and was depicted in 2 different movies of 2 different events he fought in. I thought the "unfortunately" would have made that clear.

    Fun fact:
The background music “John Powell - The End” was originally used for the ending scene of the 2006 non-fiction movie “United 93”. The music actually followed what was happening with the plane. That movie showed what happened in real on 9/11 that took place on September 11, 2001 in the United States. That plane which that movie focused on a lot, crashed, killing all 44 (including 4 hijackers on board) people. Before it crashed, the people who are heros fought back the hijackers, this music was used at that part of the movie.

@Rich F why I said the movie “United 93” is non-fiction is because it showed what happened in real life. Have you ever heard of 9/11, the terrorist attack at the United States (USA) on September 11, 2001? The movie’s setting is in (USA) and on Sep 11, 2001. Have you heard of United Airlines Flight 93? The movie is totally about this crashed plane. Therefore, this movie is based on true story in real life.

Contrary to popular belief, the snipers did not take one shot each. They took several shots each. According to Mark Owen, former DEVGRU Operater who was on that mission, the life boat was riddled with bullets from several shots taken by each sniper. That being said, these snipers still hit incredibly difficult shots and Captain Phillips was saved. Absolutely amazing!

Satisfying that Phillips was saved... not satisfying that teenage kids were killed in the process. When Muse realizes all his friends are dead, he is then read his rights. @@RyderBHales "not satisfying that teenage kids were killed in the process"
Those weren't teenage kids. Those were brutal bloodthirsty savage pirates who deserved to die.

Sucks to be them I guess. They forfeited the right to my empathy when they decided to become degenerates and kidnap an innocent man.
"because they died in the only lucrative work available"
Being a horrible human is not work. Stop trying to make them the victims, they were not.
"Really gives an element of humanity to the pirates"
I disagree. People who risk their lives to take away the property, freedom and lives of innocent people are not humans.
"especially the youngest one who Phillips was telling to put his hands up"
Who almost shot him because he was panicking. Imagine killing someone who does not pose a threat to you because you do not have any respect for the lives of humans at all, and you decide that other people have to pay with their lives for your insecurities. There was NO reason or any kind of benefit in murdering Captain Philipps, yet if they hadn't been shot by the great heroes of the marine corps, they would have done exactly that. All four of the pirates are objectively horrible humans who deserved what happened to them, and it fills my heart with childlike joy to know that three of them are burning in hell already

I am grateful for that too. I am glad to see the humanity of captain philips survive, and the heroism of his saviors. If it's not human to fight evil, I do not know what your ideas of humanity are.
"I sincerely hope you never end up in a situation where you make a grave error of judgement and require the compassion of others to gain redemption"
Thanks for the concern, I won't, because I am not evil. Everyone makes mistakes, but I would never plan and execute the kidnapping of an innocent man and then threaten his life because I panick, despite him not posing any threat whatsoever to me.
