- Kingston FURY CTRL allows you to customize the lighting effects of Kingston FURY RGB products. In addition to a library of preset patterns and effects, users can personalize the colors and speeds of the lighting schemes to match their own unique gaming aesthetic. Kingston FURY CTRL also supports legacy HyperX RGB enabled memory products.
Using Kingston FURY CTRL Software
New users can download and install the FURY CTRL app from the Microsoft Store or directly on the Kingston website at www.kingston.c...
Depending on the product you plug in, the memory module will properly reflect what’s installed in the system. FURY CTRL supports Kingston FURY Beast RGB and Kingston FURY Renegade RGB memory as well as both HyperX FURY RGB and HyperX Predator RGB memory. Turn on and off the LED customizations using the LED light toggle. Click on the Gear icon to select your preferred language and find the current software version. Toggle the Startup button to automatically start FURY CTRL upon Windows start up.
Lighting Effects
Bounce
Custom options for Bounce can be changed from default to One Color and Five Color.
Individual LEDs can be assigned a color under the Five Color option to customize your color with RGB input or just click on Random Color.
Speed and Brightness can be adjusted using the sliders.
Breathing
The custom option for Breathing is One Color.
Speed and Brightness can be adjusted using the sliders.
Rainbow
Rainbow is the default effect that ships from the factory.
Speed and Brightness can be adjusted using the sliders.
Comet
The Comet effect has one custom option for One Color.
Speed can be adjusted using the slider.
Blink
The Blink effect has One Color and Five Color custom options.
Individual LEDs can be assigned a color under the Five Color option.
Speed and Brightness can be adjusted using the sliders.
Solid
The Solid effect has One Color and Five Color custom options.
Individual LEDs can be assigned a color under the Five Color option.
Heart Beat
The Heart Beat effect has One Color and Five Color custom options.
Individual LEDs can be assigned a color under the Five Color option.
Cycle
The Cycle effect has no custom options.
Speed and Brightness can be adjusted using the sliders.
Resetting and Managing Lighting Profiles
Click on Reset button to revert to factory color at any time.
To save and load an LED customization profile click on the Three Bar icon. Click the + sign to create a new profile. Click the Pencil icon to name it, then click Enter when done. To save the profile, click the Download icon. To delete a profile, click the Trash Can. To apply a profile, click Apply.
The memory module installed in the system reflect the same lighting effects applied.
Kingston FURY Infrared Sync Technology™ perfectly synchronizes the lighting effects of the memory using infrared components featured on the DIMMs. When all modules are set to the same pattern effect, the IR Sync technology will keep them in perfect alignment.
We need more (and more important: SMOOTHER) effects! I want to make some smooth transitions between custom colors but for example the " Comet" and " Bounce" effect seems so choppy when turning the speed down, and smooth (but WAY TOO FAST) at the highest speed. I think there should be some kind of fade between switching from led to led and color to color.

We need to have it off by default, that is what we actually need.
Just a little tip for people who can't figure out why the lighting isn't working, Make sure the lighting sync for the RAM is turned OFF in any other apps ARMOURY CRATE, etc.

Why do you offer FURY CTRL via Microsoft Store only?
Huge fan of Kingston products, I recently bought Kingston Fury RGB and I would love to see them implemented in the iCUE software, I really would not want to have multiple rgb software
I know you guys support the software from motherboard makers such as Asus and MSI but I really like the mural feature of the iCUE and I need it to control my fan speed on the AIO
There will be more effects coming?
For this app to work properly, I had to disable the aura sync in the bios and disable memory in armoury crate. Otherwise, there was some kind of software collision. Now I use aura sync built into armoury crate for mobo and fury ctrl for ram.

I'm using verion 2.0.56.0 - what happened to Bounce? It isn't available in the list of effects nor is any manual setup that I can use to mimic that effect :(
Fury control freezes on start up , not reliable , i need to turn off my ram lights

I have a pair of Kingston Fury Renegade (kf3600c16D4/16gx) and this program DOES NOT recognize the RAM, it shows "not supported" when I run the program. What is the problem???
Hey there unfortunately the part number does not check out with what we have on file. Please check the RAM module product label for the part number. Also, if you are using the Kingston CTRL software make sure you have the latest update installed via Microsoft Store. Also make sure you don't have other RGB software that may be causing issues. Is anyone having issues to install Fury CTRL? I have tried to do it from the website or from the Microsoft Store, and when I'm installing it, I get a strange command box and another window that just says "Wait", but half an hour passes and nothing happens.
Just finished building a new PC at the beginning of this week. Have been trying to install it ever since, doesnt work for me either. If I close the command line window the first time, the main window installs some runtime and then gives me an exit button. Restarting the program just starts the same loop over and over again. I have written to the support yesterday, obviously did not get an answer yet. I just want to turn off the rainbow... -_- (I originally wanted to buy the non lit ones, but my parts dealer wanted to screw me over, so I got the RGB version instead from them.)
same thing happens to me, if i run it like admin, there is no command box and it installs some sdk, but when i open the app again, and it goes all from scraftch, and never actually runs the app.. @Kingston Technology any ideas ?
I figured it out yesterday. I uninstalled it and tried again. I went to the Microsoft Store and downloaded it from there, and went through the same process.
When I got that weird command box, I closed it and then opened it again as an Admin, and it opened up just fine. Don't know why, but it worked.

Profiles cannot be re-named, effects do not save - sometimes it lags after a few hours within the ram. It's truly frustrating - this is the 1st time I bought DDR5 Kingston ram because of the quality brand, or what I thought at least but it's a disaster - it works, but only a few mins or before you restart the PC then you need to re-map it all again - does not matter if you have start up button on/off. Come on - you can do better.

RGB lighting effects are so choppy at low speed LED light transitions for like rainbow, comet effects... any fix sooner? :)
I know it's difficult but, If there is a horizontal transfer of Rainbow effect too, than from the standard Vertical flow, that would be Elite!

@@kingston oh, thank you guys for writing me back everytime, so lovely :) . I been using AURA sync. But the Rainbow Effects set for Kingston RAMs are Not that well, rather can say it's a Colour breathing or a colour cycle than a rainbow. Don't get me wrong... I tried out HyperX Ngenuity (was owned by Kingston) and the Kingston CTRL. I liked the bouncing effect, but it has to be kept at a higher speed slider almost at very fast to get a smooth rushy rbg effect. Speaking about the effect that I currently reside, it's all synced up AURA, except HyperX Predator RAM running de selected. :)

Ok seemed to work after the asus motherboard and Armoury Crate for some reason wouldn't touch them.
Huge issue here: It kinda sucks that I need to reapply profiles everytime I turn my computer on. Make a set profile to default setting like literally every other RGB software!
I had the program installed and now when it starts it stays on a screen that says "please wait" forever, I already tried installing it again and nothing. appalling. my ram were unable to change their rgb
Please fix the bugs. Works perfectly for a few days then has all kinds of bugs, profile, interface, would not start after a while. New PC build.

I have Kingston Fury SE RGB and the diffuser is really nice on this RAM, I just wish the modules weren't made by Hynix. 😔
mine says there is no supported DIMM found but i seriously have the kingston hyperx fury beast 16 gb ddr4 rgb one
The legacy HyperX RGB memory should still work with the Kingston FURY CTRL unless it is OEM HyperX memory, meaning it came installed from the factory.

I have a problem. When I use fury ctrl, I change the lights to blink ligts and then I reset the PC. When it comes back on, the ligts showed up but after 5sec. they go back to normal rainbow style. How can I fix it?
Hi there are you using other RGB programs at the same time? If so try uninstalling them and run Fury CTRL by itself to verify both programs sharing resources and causing a possible conflict. Didn't find that settings in BIOS. I use Linux Mint Cinnamon for OS.
does the app need to be open in the background for my custom rgb settings to work? Or can i Just set it NOT to open up on startup and it still keeps my custom profile on by default?
I have two ram sticks but only one of them is lighting up when using the five color mode. In other modes it works normal. Also, why is there a limit of 10 profiles? I'd need about 30.

so i have 2 of these ram sticks. one of them starts going out of sync after a little while. why? they start out fine in sync and go out of sync later.

The app works great for about a half hour then my lights just go back to rainbow any idea how to change the cooor and get them to stay

Is it possibile to dim the lightings? At night is too much
seems impossible to get my customized setting to save...every time the comp sleep/turn off it goes back to rainbow puke.... and i don´t have armory crate, iv turned off rgb control in bios.... all these different rgb software is so annoying. just standardize it!

This did work when my pc was windows 11 then I changed it to windows 10 because I didn't like windows 11 then I accidentally installed signalrgb then I deleted it and installed this software that your using to change your ram color but It doesn't work for me now I made sure everything was working I even restarted my pc I need help to fix this

I have 2 x 16 GB DDR5 Fury RGB blocks, but in the software I can't change colours if for example I chose the rainbow effect. If I pick static I can only change colors on 1 of the blocks - the other one won't change. What can the issue be?

@kingston how to turn it off for always? If I toggle OFF in the app, it is ON automatically after reboot. I need a feature to OFF it permanently.
Kingston FURY RGB DIMMs come from the factory featuring a default rainbow wave pattern, so the only way to turn off the RGB is by using the software, either with our FURY CTRL or the motherboard's RGB program.
@kingston Can you permit flame effect in FURY CTRL for 2 module DDRs? In AsRock Polychrome RGB I can set them to flame effect and generally all effect presets in Polychrome RGB are probably fetched from FURY CTRL I guess. However in FURY CTRL I can't choose flame effect preset, because it's greyed out.

I have a strange issue. Using new Beast DDR5 6000mhz, and for some reason, teleport/flame/voltage/countdown and rhythm are greyed out. The rest work fine, but those remain greyed out no matter what I try.
I had this same issue so I was digging around. In another video, it states that those effects only work with 4 units installed.

Hi there, the Kingston FURY RGB modules come from the factory featuring a default rainbow wave pattern, which will work on any DDR4/DDR5 motherboards. So even if you were to turn it off with the FURY CTRL app and delete it, it will most likely turn back to default on a restart. Perhaps the NON-RGB Kingston FURY would fit your build. Will there be software for Linux to control the RGB from your side, or do you plan to give e.g. CalcProgammer1, the man from OpenRGB, a documentation how it works. So that he is able to implement it in OpenRGB?

does the software require an rgb header on the motherboard? I have an msi a320m pro max and it doesn't have an rgb header, can it still run this software?

The program sees my Hyperx Fury rgb 3733mhz, but the colors do not change and it is also not possible to turn off the backlight. I reinstalled the firmware several times, but it didn't help
I have the same problem. I have 4x 8GB of these RAM sticks and it REALLY blows that I can’t at least change the colors on them to match everything else.
Update: I just upgraded to some Vengeance Pro RGB sticks. I’ve tried every RGB software in the book for the Fury’s. None of them can change the lights on them.

Hello,
The Kingston Fury Ctrl can be downloaded from the Microsoft store. If you have other RGB software on the computer, you may need to uninstall it as it can cause conflicts with the Kingsotn software. Also be sure you have the latest updates for the version of operating system you are running.

This should have been a simple yes or no answer, I feel... @celaeno I just got the software to work and had it only running for a minute or so. Turned off the effects completely, closed the program, right click exited from the taskbar tray and even killed all fury processes in the task manager. Its still off, so if Kingston hasnt got anything running in the background that I am not aware of, I believe that you do not have to have it running all the time. It's been 5 minutes and nothing has turned back on yet. Sorry for the late reply, but just built my new PC last week!
update: after a restart its back to the initial settings. so I guess you do have to run it at least once at every startup?

@@JJRain Yes, it forgets my settings on every startup, too. I was in contact with a technician of Kingston and he promised me that is not by design, but they cannot replicate it. This is a real mess and pretty badly handled by Kingston!! (I dont mean the representative I spoke with specifically, he's a really nice guy.) But seriously, this is almost criminal, as you get promised something thats working, but isnt. Hope this incompetence doesnt radiate over to the actual RAM itself, if Kingston cannot even get the lighting done correctly... I am still patiently waiting on the update I was promised a week or more ago....

Hi there, we currently do not have any RGB SSDs in our lineup, and we do not support others SSDs.
For Kingston drives we do have the SSD Manager which allows one to check the status of the drive and firmware updates kings.tn/3MZXpFz

The HyperX Fury (Now Kingston FURY since HP purchased the HyperX line) RGB was discontinued in 2021, and it is no longer supported. Bad app, full of bugs
It is absurd for a company of this size to release defective software that does not save the user's changes and returns to the default preset at each system startup. Kingston needs to change the head of the department or hire programmers who know what they are doing... you are becoming a worldwide joke!
