Jack Lemmon!!! So happy you won! Your last!! Best performance! I’m speechless 😶 I love the book! I love the movie “ Tuesday’s with Morrie “ we all have morries in our lives! I have mine and I lost him! Death ends a life ! Not a relationship! For ever in my heart! Thank you for bringing this movie to life!

I actually read and wrote a research paper on Tuesdays with Morrie for one of my psyche classes in college. Morrie was a real gem of a man who taught Mitch Album how to really enjoy the simple things in life like going to a bar, turning on some music from a juke box and dancing no matter who was watching or what they thought of it.

Great to see him win (and his reaction!). Sadly, this was one of his final public appearances.
    RIP Mr. Lemmon.
On a quick side note: see "The Days of Wine and Roses" which stars Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick. It was made in the early 1960s and is one of the best films made about alcohol addiction. Both Lemmon and Remick give great performances (both were nominated for Oscars).

The world is a sadder place without people like Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Jack died a year after this, Walter died just before this. There are no true greats anymore.

I remember seeing his win on TV. Did Jack have cancer around this time because he looked a little frail here?

He definitely deserved this. Save the Tiger, however...
Save the Tiger was an overrated and bland film that's only remembered because of its Oscar nomination/win. Mind you, this is coming from a *massive* Jack Lemmon fan. He gave superior performances in *so many* of his other films. Prisoner of Second Ave, Days of Wine and Roses, Avanti, China Syndrome, Glengarry Glen Ross, etc. Heck, I think his performance in Grumpy Old Men was better. Now, don't get me wrong: Lemmon has *never* given a bad performance, per se. They just vary by degrees, in terms of nuance and depth of character. But, film is subjective. All of this is purely my opinion.
