- Halle Berry wins the 2000 Emmy Award for Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her performance as Dorothy Dandridge in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.
HALLE'S BEAUTY IS BREATHTAKING!
Halle Berry had wonderful acting in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.
Powerful speech I love how she's not afraid to shout out to the black community
Isn't she also half White? Shouldn't she be thanking the White Community as well.
HoldenNY22 Nope! She’s thanking those who actively support and lift her up, and that would be the black community. She might be half white, but she looks more black than white phenotypically and she’s said that she identifies more with the black community than the white.
@@truthteller816 - Thank You. I didn't really know.
@@HoldenNY22 ur either a troll or dumb. Or both.
Yes this is a win win for Halle & Dorothy
Berry was absolutely electrifying as Dorothy Dandridge
Halle killed it! And she had great competition with all those fantastic actresses but her performance in Dorothy Dandridge was simply amazing. She'd go on to win the Oscar two years later.
Had this been a major motion picture instead of a TV movie, Halle would've won an Oscar for it by a landslide.
Halle did win an Oscar
Jonathan Uriostegui he meant for this performance
@uknow who for monster's ball she did win
Agreed! It would have made her legendary win even better and sweeter playing Dorothy Dandridge, the first black woman to be nominated for Leading Actress.
It would've been far more deserving than the one she got for Monster's Ball.
Halle is so damn pretty
DESERVED.
Side note: Sally Field plays neurotic SO WELL 👏🏾
YES Halle Berry does deserve praise and all. God Bless Her Soul.
So well-deserved. Go Halle!
Halle did that! She brought Dorothy back to life! Much love and peace to Halle Berry and Dorothy Dandridge. Dorothy broke barriers for colored women while suffering in her personal life...abused by her jealous stepmother, abandoned by her father and mistreated by the males that pursued her. I’m glad her story was told but I’m sure some things were never revealed. I pray Dorothy Dandridge’s spirit is at peace.
shes soooooooo beautyful
Congratulations Halle Berry!
I do think they could have showed a much longer clip of Halle like they did all the others..
God bless you Halle.
Wow. Thank you for posting this. Been waiting for years for someone to upload this, and you did! Halle Berry acts all out in this film, and she deserves her win. Glad Emmy got it right.
Tough year. All Oscar winners or nominees in this category.
❤️❤️❤️me some Halle Berry!!!! Always regal and always beautiful!!!
She is the BEST.
She won the enemy enie emmya
Is it me or was the applause rather lukewarm. Halle deserved that award and it is too bad that this wasn't a movie because she would have been worthy of an Oscar for this performance.
It was lukewarm because Sally is clearly the superior actress. I mean c'mon I like Halle but let's get real here.
@@SF-sl7fi shut up. Halle is way better
@@princessmariah5002 Haaa. No she is not. Were you drunk when you wrote that?
It’s the fact that Halle beat out Academy Award Winning Heavyweights…not realizing that in 2 years she would join them in becoming one of those heavyweights
@@SF-sl7fi ....i strongly suspect that the people in the audience did not even see her in her movie....also they have no frame of reference to even know who Dorothy was....
They need a feature film for this and get Halle back for it
Thank you for finally posting this.
Beautiful speech
We love you Halle!
She looks better here than her Oscar night
I saw the HBO MOVIE Introducing Dorothy Dandridge with Halle Berry the colored actress singer who went through good and bad times in her life with men theaters clubs and a disabled child as well men used and abused her the last man she married was Jack Denison was very abusive with Dorothy physically and emotionally and she took medication while drinking doesn't mix at all something that kills you broke her foot also she became bankrupt lost everything a possible comeback for Dorothy Dandridge didn't turn out well she died in 1965 of a drug overdose stark naked on the floor her manager barged into her door and found her dead covered up her nude body and away she went
She should have thanked Captain PIcard for letting Data have time off to Act in this Movie.
When Eric Benet who was married to the actress Halle Berry he cheated on her with another woman that hurt my heart big time why would he cheated on a beautiful woman like Halle I mean most men would fall head over heels with this actress now she has two children with two different actors who are white and still looks gorgeous at 52 going on 53 August 14th her birthday
Easy..beauty isnt everything..NOW i thinks its HER personality
Both were famous. High profile celebrity marriages usually don't work because but have 'machines' behind them. Everything is about building up their ego and career. The problem is some of the most beautiful women on Earth are insecure and some artists are insecure. They live for the approval and roar of the crowds. When you take that away (i.e. when they're off stage), these artists have to live with 'normal' and it is something they just don't have...
Fun Fact: Dorothy Dandridge and Halle Berry were born in the same hospital in Ohio. Also, Dorothy was the first Black actress to be nominated for the Best Actress Oscar, Halle went on to become the first Black actress to win the Best Actress Oscar.
I don't know what happened to her after the Oscar 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Nothing happened she still act and served.
Eric Benet!
Lollll!
What they give it to holly because they were to races to give Dorthy Donrige
They played a long ass clip for sally field but didn’t give her the win lmao
Does anyone think that Halle's dress is tad too revealing? WOW :p
yep, but you can't change some people that kind of person will always show their privates.
@@rogerwinters9856 she is what you wish you where. She is beautiful
It’s perfect
Dorothy Dandrige mothers was black and so was her dad, so why would Halle Berry relate to her, Dorothy was way better looking than her, they should have chosen toni Braxton, a full black sister.
Then why didn't Toni Braxton made the film possible. Halle did so shut the fuck up.
oh stop it...that's is why it is called 'acting'. Toni Braxton is a singer - not an actress. I would buy Toni's cds without question (music she made 20 years ago still sounds good on full blast in the car) but unless it is a musical, I would not line up to see Toni on the screen. It's just not her creative art...Fair enough?
Toni????!!! Umm no! I would pick Kim Fields or Vanessa Williams before Toni..
@@theninjacat7200 ....TONI....did Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and the critics LOVED HER....she CAN ACT...
