A lot of people were angry because she won for Monster's Ball, a film, that included a lot of nudity and sexual content. Some opinionated critics said it was degrading and even compared her to a prostitute for her acting in the film, but I think that's outrageous and offensive. Actors should be commended for being brave enough to go the extra mile with that kind of subject matter.

I felt they gave it to her to try make the oscars "diverse". Then they gave her a shot at a lead role in cat woman and it was one of the worst failures in history. Halle berry blamed the script and sony for her failure by putting her in a crap movie but to be honest she is just not an A list star to make box offices

@@ninjaninja9954 Oh really? Halle have been in the industry for a long time making blockbuster films before and after her Oscar win. She is a A list star. I watched Cat Woman it is a very bad film and the plot didn't make any sense. The movie failure had nothing to do with Halle Berry. I don't think so. She's doing a movie adaptation of Fences, a play the earned her a Tony Award win. She's probably the strongest contender for next year. Her TV recognition and loss for The Help only helps. She's long delayed an Oscar. Whenever she gets nominated again, she'll surely win.
