Don't forget Dexter, 24, House and Burn Notice. Also some amazing series from the previous century like Kojak, Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, St. Elsewhere, Homicide Life on The Street, NYPD Blue and OG Law & Order Aren't too shabby either ;)
***** when a person is that stupid as to not be able to tell im a big fan of the show and this is actually a compliment.. The first word that springs to mind is...fucking helmet
+Robin Moran oh man i feel you, i just finished watching all seasons again, i wish could go back at 2008 and watch again do i dont know whats gonna happen, best cop show ever.
I have been impressed by Michael Chiklis’s amazing physical transformation to play Vic Mackey so believably. One of the best actors ever! Imagine the self-discipline and hard work required to achieve that! Congratulations!
Crazy he won in the first season when he’d only go on to improve every season where he deserved it even more, though tbf there was more competition later on too.
Michael Chiklis.....bless you....you are such a great actor, and a kind man. currently binge watching "The Shield"....about to watch S4. such a realistic show. Shawn Ryan is a Genius!!!........R ps: the whole cast is Amazing :)
Hi!...just finished s4 (has it been 2 months...time is fast) have been watching other shows>> "iZombie"...which i LOVE. "Madam Secretary"....Tea Leoni is a Babe!! aaaaaa....so many show too watch...in too little time. It can be confusing.....I will finish "The Shield"...cause the final season is sooooo good. Can't remember.it all... That's why I only see it yearly..... :) (Same as Fringe) Many Thanx!!!....R
Hi!...yes have finally finished..... Soooo Great....s7 was super...& the Finale... was AWESOME!!!.....Superb acting from all. One of my fave shows...Ever.. :)
+Robin Moran Yeah its a superb show. I've watched it two times on Netflix and I'll probably do so again in a couple of years(just waiting until I forget certain parts :p)
Hi! me too!!!....i can only binge watch a series after....1 year or 18 months...or so. like I would Love to rewatch Fringe again...but alas...too soon....next up though>> 24!!... been a while...Thanx :)
It's kinda funny when she says "And the winner is...Michael...Chiklis" You can see a glimmer in Michael C Hall's eyes, then it quickly vanishes when she says "Chiklis".
Just on here to say that I've never seen a video with 200 likes and zero dislikes - but if any video qualifies, this one is it. Vic Mackey is one of the most compelling characters in television history, and Michael Chiklis is one of the finest people in Hollywood, as this moving acceptance speech indicates.
Oh wow I didn't know Chiklis was cool with Brad Garret and Ray Romano like that! All three are amazing dudes. And did you hear that loud cheering and applause? They all must really love MIke.
If you watch Brad Garrett's 2002 Emmy win you can see him and Chiklis shaking hands enthustatically as Robert goes toward the stage. Those guys have that brotherly vibe for sure.
Michael Chiklis has great acting on The Shield: Season 1. Michael Chiklis became the second actor in a cable network series to win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (after James Gandolfini for The Sopranos in 2000 and 2001) for his performance as Vic Mackey in The Shield whilst becoming FX's first ever acting win.
Seeing him here and appreciationg his craft so much, I am just astounded at how opposite a role he played. The Shield was a brilliant show, that started off with a bunch of no name actors that made their way on the show, and made it big they all should be stars. But Vic Mackey was amount a lot of thing not a dreamer, and he Is just a sweet old mensch, and he plays his roles to there living end. He is a great actor, who played the role of a lifetime on the shield, but I would like for him to play something other then the strongman, pretty soon he is going to Tommy Lee Jones his career, if you know what I mean, he should try his hand in comedy it amazes me what a great job he did on his ever small stint as a Seinfeld ancillary character.
John Spencer was sitting behind Martin Sheen and looked royally pissed off when Chiklis' name was called. It also looked like he shouted out something unpleasant to the woman sitting next to him. Sheen was great on 'The West Wing' but his role was always like everyone else's on that show, part of an ensemble and always in the supporting category. Allison Janney won two Emmys for supporting actress and two for lead actress on 'The West Wing' but I still felt that her role was always one that should have been categorized as "supporting".
Michael Chiklis (in Italian accent) could play the father of Troy Arena (played by me in an Italiam accent) from Private Partners (with Selena Gomez, Ricky Tu, Kevin Hart and etc)!!!!
Adore Chiklis' performance and this show, but just based on the nominated season and episode of this year alone this was Sutherland's award. Day 1: 11:00 to 12 p.m. features some of the most nuanced, excillerating acting I have ever seen. That scene of Jack confronting Nina in the parking lot alone is oscarworthy. Chiklis got better and better as the shield progrssed. The pilot didn't feature that special acting, imo. It still did a great job of establishing Vic Mackey as a character
The start of this century saw some of the greatest TV shows off all time. Six Feet Under, The West Wing, The Sopranos and The Shield - all awesome.
Don't forget Dexter, 24, House and Burn Notice. Also some amazing series from the previous century like Kojak, Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, St. Elsewhere, Homicide Life on The Street, NYPD Blue and OG Law & Order
Aren't too shabby either ;)
Can't forget The Wire!
Love how Shawn Ryan and co were super excited for Chiklis here
wonder what strings vic had to pull to get this award
***** youre a helmet arent ya.

+Hussien Ahmed haha XD well said
Hussien Ahmed lol love the comment... reference to how he really is in the show 😂
Michael Chiklis. Kiefer Sutherland. Michael C Hall under the same roof! I'm in heaven!
Could Dutchboi break Dexter in an interrogation room?
@@4zafinc Not without solid evidence lol
Tony Soprano & Vic Mackey biggest monsters characters of tvshow
"I dont answer to you today, tomorrow, not even on 5 de mayo" BOSS!!!!
Pretty sure the "quote" is ...
"... I dont answer to you. Not today, not tomorrow, not even on cinco de mayo."
Can’t spell cinco?
This is such a GREAT Show!! I have to rewatch the whole series, Yearly.
Michael Chiklis as Vic is so awesome....he deserved this award.
+Robin Moran oh man i feel you, i just finished watching all seasons again, i wish could go back at 2008 and watch again do i dont know whats gonna happen, best cop show ever.
My favorite show right up there with Breaking Bad, perhaps even higher
He deserved it. His acting in the shield was amazing
What a freakin line-up of nominees !
I have been impressed by Michael Chiklis’s amazing physical transformation to play Vic Mackey so believably. One of the best actors ever! Imagine the self-discipline and hard work required to achieve that! Congratulations!
Man just rewatching this now. It's neck and neck with the sopranos as best tv show of all time.
One of the best shows ever on t.v
Class act as always~ love him
He is a gem
Just finished the shield for the first time a half hour ago. Damn what a great show
Crazy he won in the first season when he’d only go on to improve every season where he deserved it even more, though tbf there was more competition later on too.
Damn, that’s an amazing set of nominees. Any one of them would’ve been a worthy winner.
Well earned. This show was brilliant. You don't get straight-forward storytelling like The Shield anymore
So true, the shield is as straight forward as it gets
Michael Chiklis.....bless you....you are such a great actor, and a kind man.
currently binge watching "The Shield"....about to watch S4.

Too right you are
Al Capone with a badge
Damn right. He earned every bit
Jack Bauer approved Vic Mackey !
Mackey was a force of nature. You don't know what the fuck you're babbling about
i remember when i was a young kid watching the shield because of my older brother, then we started watching 24 as well. Two great shows.
He was brilliant in the shield
Well deserved & he beat out very tough competition!!💯💯
You know Michael C. Hall thought he was getting it when he heard "...Michael..."
love The Shield
Man, Vic had some competition that year….
Aww Kiefer was so excited when Michael won!
Six Feet Under, The West Wing, 24 and The Shield were just starting... it feels like it happened a lifetime ago.
Oh wow I didn't know Chiklis was cool with Brad Garret and Ray Romano like that! All three are amazing dudes. And did you hear that loud cheering and applause? They all must really love MIke.

@@inkblowout Not surprised. All three guys were on iconic shows that are still the best of their genre!
If it wasn’t for the sopranos they would have won a lot more but the sopranos was so deserving of the awards too
Michael Chiklis has great acting on The Shield: Season 1. and for the rest seasons ??
@@BrecMadakunfortunately, the retarded Emmy academy decided to not give him anymore nominations or awards.
Tony Shaloub then became the third with Monk a year after this.
That was cool how he and his wife said “i love you” at the same time.
Not taking anything away from Michael he earned an emmy for his performance but how was James Gandolfini not nominated?
Season 4 of The Sopranos was delayed until September 2002 due to 9/11. It didn't start in time to qualify for the Emmy's that year
No one wears the shades and the jacket better
Such a class act . You rock bro

He played Curly in the 3 Stooges film...did great like always!!

yes love in the show
Hermoso Michael Chiklis❤
I liked this series. Bent from the get go.
Ahí veo a vick mackey, gran personaje.
Look at Kiefer. He approves :)
that smug lad from six feet under looks a real arsehole
It's funny that he's a drunk since Kiefer still radiates this warmth and humility about him.
No one cares about awards less than Kiefer Sutherland. Dude is as down to earth as the they come.
FREE RONNIE!
Michael Chiklis (in Italian accent) could play the father of Troy Arena (played by me in an Italiam accent) from Private Partners (with Selena Gomez, Ricky Tu, Kevin Hart and etc)!!!!
Great show
Why wasn’t James Gandolfini nominated that year ? Season 3 of The Sopranos is a masterpiece
Wouldn't have been in the window of eligibility
Season 3 was eligible during the 2001 emmys and he won for it.
*Macky... MACKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!*
T.O. getting burned by Armadillo!
That shot of Vic from the side-view just breathing increasingly heavily as he decided what he's gonna do to Armadillo in retaliation was so cool
@@Onigirli Like a raging bull just getting ready to charge at a red flag.
Andre Royo should’ve been a nominated that year and every year to follow.
The Commish!
I'm not knocking the show or Michael. Would be a dull world if everyone liked the same things but for me, the best show he was in was The Commish.
michael is so soft spoken compared to mackey
Who is the girl on the right? I just fell in love

Jack Bauer had nothing on Vic Mackey.
Shield didnt even air 2002!?
The shield 🛡 very entertaining nonsense 👮 that character wouldn't last 5 mind in Dublin ✌️ 🎥 ☺ 🇮🇪
Why because Dublin is full of so many fucking pussy ass bitches that he would have to kill too many people?
G K you are an idiot
Blahh
My god! Why is this video quality is more like it's from the 90s?
