Just watched this with my 13yr old son who was interested all the way through…. He said “this guy is very enthusiastic isn’t he” they’ve had the perfect day…. Really looked like you did! Great to have you back show casing how beautiful the UK is. 😀👍🏻👌🏻 Cheers Dan
We've booked Tenerife for a week and are hiring motorcycles, inspired by your vids. As minor RUclips film makers we are in awe of Monika's film making skills. So much of what makes your vids so watchable is the small stuff, the B roll, the edit the music. Off course Freddie does a great enthusiastic job of presenting. Great work.
Moved to Essex 20 years ago from east London..wouldn't live anywhere else..much underrated good road and train links beautiful architecture and now three cities aswell as large towns like maldon many small villages and tiny hamlets..as much history as you could ever want fantastic county..
Good Video Freddie and Monika, Essex is better than it’s given credit for, I don’t. Live far from Maldon and was out riding around There this morning, some decent roads, on a sunny Sunday morning it a nice ride. Looking forward to pt2.
A joy as always. Essex like Tenerife gets a bad rep but as you found quite delightful in areas if you just made a small effort to expand your horizons..
Your quite right the county's reputation is forever tarnished by programs like The only Way is Essex etc! like all the counties it has a 'Wrong side of the Tracks' ... the southern part and towards London is congested and industrialised. I lived in Southend for years but loved riding the country lanes and visiting the small town/villages of the northern and north-eastern part of the county....
Loved watching this, lived in Maldon as a boy but emigrated to Australia. Also riding a Triumph and enjoy your enthusiasm for the lifestyle. Great to see Maldon hasn't changed too much over the years.
I keep forgetting how beautiful England is. Another captivating video to put Tenerife behind us. You guys have done it again I really think I'm experiencing this with the 2 of you.
Hi Freddie. I think most people in the UK think of Essex as boring and without anything of interest to visit. Your vid shows that this is not the case and really makes me want to go there. Well done ! You ought to do similar trips around every other British county !
Just watching your latest vid. Can't believe you were in Tollesbury (where I live) I would have said hello. Great vids. Keep up the adventures and hi to Monica too
Thank you my friend..this will be my second visit on your fantastic recommendation! My first was your Suffolk trip, we had a great time, me and my wife! Great work. Ride safe👍🏻
Nice to see Maldon and the surounding areas again. I used to live and work around that whole area (based at Bradwell on Sea, just a few miles down river from Maldon). Some great biking roads in those parts. Freddie, you were right about the year for that Volvo, however a bit off with the model. The 240 did not arrive until many years later. I think that one was an Amazon. Like you, I hope it gets rescued.
Good video Freddie, I've often cycled around Maldon. After a visit to the barge it's really hard to get your legs spinning again. Nice bumping into you yesterday at the Bike Shed show, Mr Jones.
Thank you for highlighting how beautiful Essex is Freddie and Monika (I was born in Chelmsford and grew up in Doddinghurst near Brentwood). Used to love going to Maldon when growing up. Now living in Norwich in another of your neighbouring counties. You guys would love Norwich and the North Norfolk coast. A great touring county for motor bikes. Another wonderful vlog!
Thank you Freddie & Monica, Sunday morning has now started on a high as I sit on the porch drinking my coffee and enjoying your adventures. I’m amazed you made it through the Italian dinner after all of those cakes and scones for lunch. Well done for getting out and braving the English summer weather - always a challenge. I hope the Essex board of tourism picked up the tab for your hotel and dinner!
Delighted to be your Sunday morning viewing, Nick!🙂 I very nearly politely declined dinner… but if was so delicious i probably could’ve had seconds in the end😆🍝
Great video. I live just up the road from Maldon. The promenade walk is nice on a decent day. The Tiptree Jam factory museum is well worth a visit. Actually had His and Hers personalised whiskey marmalade and champagne strawberry jams for the favours on tables at our wedding. Looking forward to next video 👍
Yet again another well presented and interesting video, a blustery day that turned out into a lovely evening. One of my pet hates is the weather in this country, living in rural South Wales many a time I feel so sorry for the holiday campers and caravaners as the wind and clouds rush across the valleys followed closely by the rain that's often regional, brilliant sunshine this morning but as I type this and look through the window it's started to rain.
Another fascinating video Freddie. It was great to meet you at the Bike Shed on Saturday (I was the guy with the Northern Irish accent). Safe journey to Barcelona.
Haha, i'm a local to Maldon this was really interesting to watch. That Volvo has been there for years and years! I think it's been abandoned now, used to have a battery lead under the bonnet but no more!
Just seen you on Andy Flyer bike shed vid and decided to give you a watch. Glad I did, love doing wee rambles on my motorcycles. Very interesting and a big up to the UK. An hour on a bike and your in the country any where in the UK. Cheers from Fife Scotland 🏴
Great video Freddie (and Monika) this area is right on my doorstep, spend hours riding round the lanes on the Dengie peninsula, hope Pt2 gets you to Mersea Island. Certainly back in Essex when you bought out the big chain and padlock for the helmets. . . . Welcome home! 🤣🤣🤐
Love this part of the UK - well done for highlighting this overlooked part of Essex. Love the videos. Hope you are both settling back into UK life. We are heading to El Medano in September!

Flock of ponies? It's just like listening to David Attenborough. Great film nevertheless. You're absolutely right about Essex, the coastline and parts of the interior are really beautiful. Nobody expects it because everyone thinks Range Rover murders and TOWIE. Love the history around there - much of it down to the proximity of France and the Low Countries. Those round chrome mirrors took me right back to the 1970s. When are you going to get a touring screen? MadStad Engineering of Florida make some lovely ones, the one on my Beemer came from there and it's ACE!
'The UK would have won the World Cup'. Who? That barge has been well-converted. I used to live in Southend and never went to Maldon. At least, I don't think I did. Fascinating place. I missed out. Expensive room.
another great vid on a Sunday. the kawasaki w800 is going great and seems to be perfect for a total novice! I've even being around filming street art, and i know you like it . some of the stuff is literally true art, have look if you get time.
Hello to you Freddie, started watching your channel when you were over in Tenerife (Adam from Easy Rider) mentioned you when I hired a bike and visited Masca (beautiful) New subscriber - as I get value from your channel. Maybe catch up for a ride out while you're in the UK - ride safe 👍🙏
Unconscious humour perhaps but the subtitles described an 'old chester dwarves' which I took to mean an old chest of drawers! Unless of course the little guys came down from the midlands! Nice view of a part of the world we don't get to see much of. Your viking story - I thought you were going to end with the vikings being soundly beaten but they had different ideas and the chief man ended up with being decapitated while the rest of the Malden farmers ran away or escaped on horseback.
excellent video!!...great story about the vikings...I so love the history there...have you considered doing a video in Scotland or Ireland?...vising some of the really ancient historic sites...Stone Henge, Uragh etc...with Monica's ability to record and her choices of music and your love of history...could be a really cool video..
@@FreddieDobbs That would be so cool!!...the history is thousands of years old...back to the very beginnings of the hunter gatherers migration that came up through Doggerland...

'The UK would have won the World Cup'. Who? That barge has been well-converted. I used to live in Southend and never went to Maldon. At least, I don't think I did. Fascinating place. I missed out. Expensive room.
Mate, this is soooo cool! Might please sharing the helmet brand?
Freddie did you know the Limes Hotel used to be a dentist back in the 1950,s.
I love your jacket Freddie! Who makes that? Just finished your 3 part Tenerife vlog then obviously subscribed it was brilliant 👏
another great vid on a Sunday. the kawasaki w800 is going great and seems to be perfect for a total novice! I've even being around filming street art, and i know you like it . some of the stuff is literally true art, have look if you get time.
Delighted you’re enjoying the W800!🙂 I’ll watch this evening👌🏻👌🏻 Happy riding and have a good Sunday

Can you also please share the route map !! This will help us to plan the trips..
Welcome to my “hood”. About 90% of Essex is like this, all countryside and seaside 😁👍
The adventure never ends!
Great video, so nice to see the area well presented like this. So when is the Harley coming Mr. Dobbs ?
Thank you! A Harley’s still veeeeery much in my mind😍🏍
@@FreddieDobbs Thanks for the reply and great to hear ! Look forward to seeing you touring on one !
Hello to you Freddie, started watching your channel when you were over in Tenerife (Adam from Easy Rider) mentioned you when I hired a bike and visited Masca (beautiful)
New subscriber - as I get value from your channel.
Maybe catch up for a ride out while you're in the UK - ride safe 👍🙏
Delighted you found the channel Darren! Ahhhh Masca- unforgettable👌🏻
Burnham.. Bradwell..the east coast ...great sailing grounds....
excellent video!!...great story about the vikings...I so love the history there...have you considered doing a video in Scotland or Ireland?...vising some of the really ancient historic sites...Stone Henge, Uragh etc...with Monica's ability to record and her choices of music and your love of history...could be a really cool video..
Thanks Kevin!🙂 Definitely- I’ve been meaning to do Ireland and/or Scotland for ages- I’ll try and do it this year
@@FreddieDobbs That would be so cool!!...the history is thousands of years old...back to the very beginnings of the hunter gatherers migration that came up through Doggerland...
