good stuff, i am surprised you didn't reference the grip, that was my biggest problem w/this gun when i got it, it would just slide out of my hand and constant need to readjust after each shot. Ended up putting talon grip and it helped a lot. I went a different route w/the sight because i didn't want that extra plate mount, I already had a shield RMS2 that i got for a steal already, and it fits perfectly on the 43X. when you said do it right, that was exactly why i wanted to ensure the G43x and RMS2 worked together perfectly.
The rms2 definitely looks awesome on these. I hope it treats you well! And the grip didn’t bother me too much. It’s definitely much more narrow but I didn’t mind it!

I have a similar story with the exact same gun. Wasn’t hitting anything and was about to sell it, guy told me to Keep it because he felt he would be cheating me. I felt I wouldn’t shoot it over my other guns but wanted to conceal it. Got it to where I wanted with some big dot dxt2 sites and handle it edge grips and called it a day for my self defense gun. Started putting rounds through it and man am I glad I kept it. I also have a stigma which is why I went with the orange big dot almost like an analog red dot for self defense within 15 yards lol. Awesome video and I agree on a lot of the points you talked about on its conceal ability and shoot ability after getting it to a point and just putting rounds through it. Been consistently carrying it and training with it and couldn’t be happier now.
I’m glad you kept it too! They’re slick guns for sure. I’ve also heard that green dots are good with astigmatisms (I put one on my 300 blk). Thanks for reaching out and sharing!! Safe shooting!
A lot of people have issues shooting a smaller, thinner gun at first. Some over grip the gun, because it’s thinner, they get more hand than they need wrapped around and not keeping proper placement/grip as they would on a full size. Another one may have sympathetic finger movement, i.e. you move you trigger finger but your middle and maybe ring and pinky also move cause the gun to go down/left (right hand) down/right (left handers). Put your hand flat and “pull an imaginary trigger” does more than one finger move. Practice moving only your trigger finger with and without your gun. See how things move. Can be fixed without spending money on rounds or training. Of course time with weapon and thinking about your time at the range and not just “mag dumping”. If you can shoot a small gun, you can shoot a bigger gun. If you shoot a big gun you may not shoot a small gun well. Practice with what you carry. Throw some carry rounds in your range day every once in awhile. They feel and shoot differently. EDIT: Also Glock isn’t the only company to have a Blue Label program. Switch and Wesson has a pretty good one. Usually throw in free hand cuffs or a knife every know and then. Other companies have them too, just look into it if you are a first responder/military. Deals to be had.
Nice video, man. Glock 43x is probably my favorite gun right now. Size and capacity are great as is. Shield mags give you a few more rounds, but I agree with you. If more than 10 rounds are needed, then something is really wrong.
Yet there are incidents with individuals needing more than 10rds. There's actually a dude who lost his eye, and needed 14rds in order to win the fight.
Dont know why people recommend shield mags. They are crap. Just give it time and you'll realize it like everyone else. They just dont last. I'll never understand why someone would buy a glock for the track record then buy these mags and all the other aftermarket crap.
Great video! I built my 43X exactly like yours but went with the 3.5 RMRcc and Ameriglo's GL-527 iron sites with tritium. Badass setup! Thanks for the advice on Forward Controls, they are 100% legit!
Loving your vids and thank you for your service. I am a big glock fan and also use the Streamlight weapon light. My 43x and 48 are a lot easier to shoot with talon grips or handleit grips, if you ever want to try them there like 20 bucks but make a world of difference in the feel.
I just might have to give those a try. I see a lot of people do a little goon tape and say that helps. One guy a work puts a piece of bicycle inner tube around his Sig grip and I must say it definitely gives you more grip. Food for thought I guess!
Looks great man. I’ve been shooting Glocks for at least 15 years, the key with everything is just the trigger pull. Also, the 3 dots really help compared to the stock ones. Also, it’s worth getting the 2 plus extension. If you do one in the tube it’s 13 😊. I got the threaded barrel as well, with the a very small comp and it’s great lol.
Hey man fellow gun tuber! I did sell my 43X and I sold it because everything I’ve done to that gun was not worth it to keep good grouping. The base guns was $500 flat MOS. I did Shield arms upgrade, mag flare, trigger disconnect all in all I was about in $1100 gun and accessories. When I sold it I got exactly what I paid for everything and bought a Norsso Glock 26 slide and a P80 lower I’m currently running Holosun EPS TLR7 with a custom holster and it’s the same weight as the G43X but I can take mags from a 17,19 and 33 rounders with no mods and I carry one flush fit and 2 plus two baseplate on my other mags if I could do it all over again I’d do the P80 build it’s very reliable and it’s functioned through 500 rounds 124 and 115 no issues and I’m only about $600 into the build with the light and sight and mag extensions and I shoot great groupings.
That’s an awesome alternative for sure. I like the 26 a lot. Especially with a longer mag in it. Definitely a viable alternative if you don’t like the 43x and slim line models. Glad you’re happy with it!
@@Meaty556 it’s not necessarily because it a slim-line because I have a 43 and I shoot that way better. I think it’s honestly the smaller barrel and grip angle that make it so snappy. Thanks for the reply ❤️ all love here keep doing what you’re doing!
@@Meaty556 no disrespect, but those of us who are armed professionals and have seen the worst, know that thinking like this will get you killed. If you say you’ll never need more than 10 rounds-then your thinking isn’t based in reality but more in what you wish for.
Awesome video! I’ve said the same about the number of rounds for years. I know where I live esp, if you’re throwing more than 10 rounds down range, there better be multiple people or some sort of active shooter situation or I’m going to prison. Most self defense situations only 2 to 3 rounds are used…more than that turns into a whole new territory and could end with you being charged yourself
Def can relate to the budget. Most of these guns and accessories people buy are overpriced for the name and hype. I got my 43x MOS at a good deal, military discount on optic saved me $67 and I got a light for $120. All still under $1k which was my goal.
If someone tells you don’t use your slide release because it damages the gun they’re stupid 1st off your gun is warrantied most likely and 2nd the slide release is a safety mechanism to keep you from loading 1 in the chamber manually and hitting the slide release with your fingers in the action of the gun because it does it for you, just take the mag out afterwards and load the last round
Hey man - awesome gun and channel! I have pretty much the same build and wondering if you have any issues with the optic coming lose after shooting? I have a holoson 507k and it starts to come loose after like 2 mags worth of ammo and then i have to tighten it down again.
@meaty556 I may have missed it and, if so, I didn’t want to rewatch the whole video to be factual; however, did you have any reason not wanting to have it milled for that optic? Not sure if it was due to cost or being hesitant on structural integrity of the firearm, but I was curious if you contemplated it. I saw someone who ran identical optic on 43x MOS and loved it after it was milled because it was super snug and allowed co-witness with upgraded irons. Thanks.
So, I’m not completely sure if you can mill an MOS slide due to less metal being there, not sure so I’d have to look into that. Nevertheless to answer your question I chose to go with a plate because I consider red dots a lot like iPhones. If and when a better one comes out I don’t want to be married to a specific footprint (maybe it’s commitment issues) lol
They definitely need an upgrade in the texture department. Not sure why they didn't use the normal texture...it's not as if Glock is known for having aggressive texture. Personally I enjoy the P365 platform. My setup will hit A zone steel at 50 yards, and anything inside that is easy pickings. As for the sidecar, you carry a spare mag because for reasons other than what you are thinking. I habe discussed having a backup mag with some local trainers, and they never say anything about "needing more ammo".
I have this exact build, except I have suppressor sights and S15 mag and release. The only problem I have is the grip is too small for my hands. I added a Hogue grip, but still have the same issue. It would be nice if they made this gun with optional back straps.
@@Meaty556 Not "meaty", but large palm and long fingers. The trigger ends up being more on the first joint past my knuckle, instead of being on the first joint by my nail. It makes it awkward feeling. The problem is I don't really want to make it any thicker width wise, then it defeats the purpose. i just need it to push my hand back further. Its ok for my G42 because it shoots so light. I use the largest back strap on my other Glocks, so that gives you an idea of what I need. Its funny, I can shoot my G29 with spicy loads way better than the 43X, but carrying the G29 is ridiculous. I guess its the price I will have to pay for carry comfort.
Please tell me how you guys are getting the Streamlight to attach to the 43X. I am noticing cuts in the grip frame to accommodate a clamp on light. How did you get those grooves cut into the frame?
So this is a 43X MOS which has the rail on the frame for a light! If you wanted to put a light on yours you might have to get a newer generation frame that will accept weapon lights. Hope this helps!
You can also join the GSSF for $35 (new) or $25 (renew)/year and Glock will send you a coupon to buy one blue label pistol per year at the same reduced price.
I just switched my carry gun to Shield Plus 13+1 better than my glock 43 and my Glock 48mos. Mind you the G43 and G48 can mix and match the slide and frame to make a 43x and 43L.
Great video brotha. I’m curious what your thought process and reasoning is for only carrying one mag. I think it’s a bad idea to only carry one mag. Limiting yourself to 11 rounds is crazy. What if you have a double feed? Just surprised you would suggest only needing one mag. Are you 82nd?
I carry one mag in the pistol. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong just my opinion. I think if you can’t clear a malfunction with immediate action, Aka tap rack, you’re going to be in trouble regardless of how many mags your carrying. Now having to go to complete remedial action and putting in a fresh mag if you’re prepared for actual combat, completely different. Not just carrying in a self defense situation. Like I said. Just my opinion. And no sir not 82nd.
@@Meaty556 as far as I am concerned, there is no “tap and rack”! I’m likely the only good guy with a gun and am not going to take precious seconds to figure out which technique will clear my malfunction. It’s getting a new mag.
What Do U Do, When U Have More Than 1 Shooter (2/3) & U ONLY Have 1 Mag ??? Better Safe, Than Sorry I Say... Also, U Did A Good Job On Getting The TLR-7 Light, But I Think Iam Getting A Holosun SCS Dot For Mine...
I ran into this exact issue when I bought my RMRcc for my Glock 48. Im stuck between buying the adapter plate or getting my Glock milled to fit the red dot. Lots of things I read is people say it sits too high. What’s your opinion? $89 vs 150+ for it to get milled.

@@Meaty556 no disrespect, but those of us who are armed professionals and have seen the worst, know that thinking like this will get you killed. If you say you’ll never need more than 10 rounds-then your thinking isn’t based in reality but more in what you wish for.

Great video. Just got one myself
Heck yeah. They’re slick little pieces.
Love your review
Thank you!
Glock perfection plus….. fun review
US Army Spec 4 Mafia vet here, subbed. Seriously considering this pistol.
I am a fan. And thank you for your service! And the sub!
Dope vid it was enjoyable
Thanks man
I’d subscribed in hopes you never start a video slurping coffee again lol😂😂 awesome video I’m picking this gun up soon for the collection
I love my coffee. Thanks for the sub!
Thanks for the video
Awesome video! I’ve said the same about the number of rounds for years. I know where I live esp, if you’re throwing more than 10 rounds down range, there better be multiple people or some sort of active shooter situation or I’m going to prison. Most self defense situations only 2 to 3 rounds are used…more than that turns into a whole new territory and could end with you being charged yourself
I agree 100%
My thoughts, make your shots count! Thanks for reaching out!!
Def can relate to the budget. Most of these guns and accessories people buy are overpriced for the name and hype. I got my 43x MOS at a good deal, military discount on optic saved me $67 and I got a light for $120. All still under $1k which was my goal.
Hell yeah!
great vid !
Thank you for the support!
Love the video but it’s full of contradictions the more I rewatch it 😂😂😂 but thanks for the vid. People can make of it what they want 😂 fire build
Follow your heart!
Definitely grab yourself some loctite or something similar. Just a simple thread locker will keep those screws from backing out on ya!
Very cool!
Thanks Robert.
I dont have one but ive shot it bunch. I went with the p365 x macro comp...... thanks for sharing... just subbed.
Thanks for the sub!

The light has strobe mode too brotha
Dang you’re right! Forgot to mention that! Thank you!
Nice video and presentation. As your channel grows so will your income from future sponsorship.

FYI, if you are a Glock Sport Shooting Foundation member, you get one "Blue Label" Glock a year. They send you a certificate each year.
That’s awesome!
love slim feal of 43x
😏
They definitely need an upgrade in the texture department. Not sure why they didn't use the normal texture...it's not as if Glock is known for having aggressive texture.
Personally I enjoy the P365 platform. My setup will hit A zone steel at 50 yards, and anything inside that is easy pickings.
As for the sidecar, you carry a spare mag because for reasons other than what you are thinking. I habe discussed having a backup mag with some local trainers, and they never say anything about "needing more ammo".
Right on, thanks for checkin in!
I have the same build but I have a holosun 507k with lock tight screws and the optic still came loose causing a couple scratches on it
Ya hate to see it. Try some red locktite if you haven’t yet.
I have this exact build, except I have suppressor sights and S15 mag and release. The only problem I have is the grip is too small for my hands. I added a Hogue grip, but still have the same issue. It would be nice if they made this gun with optional back straps.
You must have big Ol bear paws! I have seen some custom jobs with Hogue Grips & Goon Tape. Maybe give that a whirl.
Can you co witness with the stock sights with the forward controls plate?
You can also join the GSSF for $35 (new) or $25 (renew)/year and Glock will send you a coupon to buy one blue label pistol per year at the same reduced price.
Word!
You like some of the same stuff I like. Subscribe button hit lol. Awesome video bro. I don't have the mos version but maybe later can get a cut.
I’d go with JagerWerks. Heard good things.
I just switched my carry gun to Shield Plus 13+1 better than my glock 43 and my Glock 48mos. Mind you the G43 and G48 can mix and match the slide and frame to make a 43x and 43L.
Yes! I chose the 43x for the grip length and being able to put a flashlight on it!
Don’t know if you mention it what holster are you using? Thank you
Just a Blackhawk 4 soft holster
What holster you using for your 43x with optic and light? Thanks
I modified a Blackhawk size 4. The light and slide fit great. I just had to cut a small section out for the optic. Work’s phenomenal for me!

what holster do you run? I have the same build just difficult to find a good holster for it.

You should absolutely carry a spare mag to effectively clear a jam
Maybe for remedial action, but immediate action would just be tap rack.
@@Meaty556 as far as I am concerned, there is no “tap and rack”! I’m likely the only good guy with a gun and am not going to take precious seconds to figure out which technique will clear my malfunction. It’s getting a new mag.
@@mikejmardisthat’s a terrible tactic but okay
Just a disgrace that Glock doesn't offer OEM extended mags. The 3rd party mags are not reliable enough
I agree
They make another 43x mos specifically cut for the RMRCC it’s a different sku
No kidding?! I never knew that! That’s really awesome
What kind of holster your running I’m having an issue finding a holster to fit with the same light

$375 for the gun is a great price. It’s around $499 where I’m at 😬
Dang, best thing I can say is order one at a decent price to your local favorite FFL!
I hope you become a rich man. If not, you will definitely be a happy man.
Thank you Mike. I appreciate that.
I ran into this exact issue when I bought my RMRcc for my Glock 48. Im stuck between buying the adapter plate or getting my Glock milled to fit the red dot. Lots of things I read is people say it sits too high. What’s your opinion? $89 vs 150+ for it to get milled.
I went with the plate simply because if I ever want to change optics I can. Plus I don't think back up irons are needed.
Trying to find this adapter plate, anyone have a link ?
