Same. The slim line pistol is definitely a better carry. Especially for summer clothing. I tried the Sigs but just didn’t like them. 🤷♂️ different strokes for different folks.
@@flako3182 it’s a solid choice. I’ve heard great things about the hellcat pro but for me it doesn’t make sense because I’d lose out on the extra capacity and be forced to buy 10 round mags anyways. I prefer to have the thicker pistols in the winter like the 19 but the 43x most definitely has its place in the summer. Drop a holosun on the mos and call it a day.👍it will serve you well.
Getting me a g19 mos soon! Going to the store tomorrow. Major upgrade from a Taurus g3c that was my first gun that I’ve had for 3 years: this G19 mos will be my EDC
PSA micro dagger frame and aftermarket ported slide and barrel is the way to go. Keeps it small and reduces the recoil. You can build that for around $400 - $450
I love my gen 5 mos G19 but bought the Hellcat Pro for a more comfortable ccw. While not the 43X, I agree 1000% with the shootability difference between the 2 sizes!!! Great video!
I like the 19. But I went with the 17 mos gen5 for home and 43x no mos standard model for carry. The 19x looks awesome also. Great video and review. I got the 17 before all the newer 45-49s models came out. I hear they discontinued the 17 mos version.
You are 100% correct about the recoil, the 43x is a "snappy" gun. I noticed when I shoot it for awhile, my middle finger seems to take a beating from the trigger guard, but its perfect for a CC
I have no doubt that you feel more recoil on the 43X than the 19. The 43X is lighter in weight and you will feel more recoil because of that fact. Good video, thanks!
Glad I found this channel! I'm in the exact same situation - LOVE the 43X (size, feel, etc), trigger is very underwhelming and I'm fixing to get a Johnny Glocks system soon. Put a Faxon comp and the recoil is almost negligible but the only nuisance is cleaning - I don't want to take off the comp everytime I clean (and strip the loctited screws) but Radian has yet to come out with the afterburner for the 43X and I'll just wait for it. Thought about getting the Glock 19 and putting the after jet but after watching this vid - I think I'm gonna wait for the ramjet and the 43x will be a near perfect Setup then!
All of the pistols in this size category are snappy. It's just what you have to accept for micro compacts or sub compacts. My P365 is a snappy little guy too but I can still shoot it well enough to trust it for carry.
Been studying GLOCK for awhile now because I am in market for yet "another" Handgun (Love my Beretta 92FS and my Kimber MIcro 9). I have it narrowed down between the GLOCK 43X and GLOCK 19. Your video has helped me weigh the pros and cons of each system. Still unsure which I will choose until after I hold each one. I do not believe I can go wrong with either choice! THANK YOU Dt FOR YOUR GREAT COMPARISON!
@jeffkildow9917 anytime! I believe you can't go wrong with either one however the Gen 5 Glock 19 is a really sweet shooter! The 43x conceals amazingly though!

You may be right. Im currently in the market for a new compact cc and i’ve been undecided on G43x & P320. Just watched a video on the pure tungsten rod. I think i get G43x with that rod. I love my G17 Gen5 and the recoil is extremely smooth compared to my G23 gen4 that was recently stolen from me
I've shot both the 43x and the 19. I also conceal carry the original XDs 9mm 3.3" pistol which is smaller than the 43X. I can shoot it pretty well. I don't have any problems with the recoil on the XDs, and I didn't have any recoil problems with the 43X when I shot it so I would have to go with the 43X for concealed carry.
I had the 19 in the form of a p80 and I got really good with it but for my woods carry i got a 43mos. Every ounce makes a difference. The smaller the better for me
I think recoil affects everybody differently. I have no problem shooting smaller guns like the P365 in the Glock 43X, but my buddy sometimes is affected by the recoil by them. I, however, struggle shooting J frames with hot loads and 357 when the same buddy can shoot them no problem.
I've been on the fence between a G43x and the G19 for a day now. Honestly I'd like to own both but right now I'm not putting that much money out for both, so It's a hard choice because they're both good. I'm looking for my first concealed carry pistol and these have been my two choices so far
I have a 19 and a 43, but decided to get a 43x mos with holosun sight. Also got the micro dagger mags that hold 15 rounds. The 43x can easily fill the role of EDC and home defense. Why? Because 93% of self defense scenarios are 3 to 7 yards. The 43x is plenty enough gun for those distances. If the fight is so intense that you need to do a mag change, you need to be fighting your way to something bigger than a pistol. No matter what you choose, train train train!
Glock 43x was my first gun and I still have it. I love the concealment and it’s comfortable to carry since it’s light and smaller. But the 43x allows for too much user error when it comes to accuracy, you have to get a specific grip on the gun because the slim frame. I got a Glock 45 about 8 months ago and shoot better with it because it wider frame fits my hands better for fast accuracy so it has become my carry gun since. However for the summer I will be carrying my 43x more again because I like to wear shorts everyday and the Glock 45(Glock 19 slide length) is too bulky and sticks out at the tip with shorts. *Also do not get the Shield Arms mags they will cause issues!!!!*
This is the review I needed. I currently carry an Sig P365X-Macro. It's a great gun, don't get me wrong, but for some reason Glocks feel better in my hand. Maybe it's the grip angle, who knows? I'm going to shoot both at the range before I buy, but I'm leaning toward the 19 after seeing this video. Thanks!
Anytime! You really can't go wrong with either! The x macro definitely conceals better though! Something about the Glock 19 just feels good in the hand!
Awesome review. I wasn't aware of the PSA option for magazine. I currently have the Glock 45 gen MOS, Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS and Glock 43x. All three are amazing guns. I don't think you can go around with any. I think it comes down to all three are amazing guns just whatever the flavor of the day for you is. LOL it's a good issue to have with not knowing which amazing gun to carry. Lol 43X is awesome. 19 is amazing. What do to?
My stock 43x has zero recoil when I shoot it (only the slide moving back and forth). I just have to be more intentional about my grip when shooting it compared to larger framed guns that don't require much to control recoil.
I tried both the 43x and the 48 several times and don’t care for them. Great guns but not for me. G19 all the way. Yes it’s a bit less comfortable to carry but it’s a great shooter.
I agree 100%. Should have been factory 15 rounds. If palmetto State armory did it, Glock could have too, but then again what would that do to the Glock 19?
I’ll never own another Micro compact because they aren’t pleasurable to train with and no nearly as shootable as larger guns. I carry a G17 as my EDC but I scale down to a G19 when I’m wearing tighter clothes.
Bro. Yall complain way too much. Yell want these small, harder to shoot pea shooters, but your losing ballistics with the shorter barrel and yall still complain which the capacity you want, even though you wanted a smaller gun. Ya can't have your cake and eat it too. Try edc a glock 21, now that's thick. Or try edc a damn beretta 92sf that gun is huge compared to the g19. But it can still be done with the 21 and 92sf. Me personally sacrificing the Ballistics to have more comfort is nah. Handgun ammo is weak enough. I personally run g19x and g22 I like the middle ground of being comfortable enough. I still have the capacity and still have enough barrel to throw led past 7 yards and be effective
I'm not a fan of my slim frame glocks sometimes I carry my 43x or 48 I don't trust any aftermarket mags also I wouldn't want to get in a gun fight with my slim frame guns I'm always carrying my 19 even though I got a couple of really small guns which I don't like if I could sell my 48mos I would .
Thats why I choose the Gen5 G19 over the 43X due to it's snappiness. Just not for me. G19 shoots way better and smoother, most importantly, I shoot better with the 19.

Honestly you really can't go wrong. It you are a smaller person and wanted a carry only- then 43x. If you are ok with a little bigger footprint and a overall better shooting pistol then the 19 hands down.
Don't know if you have decided yet but I will give you my 2 cents. I have put about 5,000 rounds through my gen. 5 19 mos. and about 3,000 rounds through my 43x mos. About 1,500 rounds in the 43x were with Palmetto State Mags. I shoot the cheapest range ammo I can buy. I have never had a malfunction, misfire, stovepipe, or any other problem with either gun. When both guns are compared size wise they are surprisingly similar although when shooting or carrying they are surprisingly different. The 19 is more enjoyable to shoot, is easier to get tight groups on target and quicker to get the sights on target. The 43x is snappier to shoot, my groups are not as tight on target but the gun is smaller, lighter, and easier to conceal. At 10 yards I can still hit the target, but bulls eyes are more luck than skill for me. My advise to you would be if you are going to carry often, get the 43x. If you are looking for home defense and occasional carry, go with the 19. I am not an expert by anyone's definition, this is just my opinion but I was asking myself the same question as you when I initially bought my 19. Also practice, practice, practice. I hope this helps.
@@matthewmarch8707 Thank you for your hones tansfer. When I have it in hand than 43x fit me in hand naturaly. 19 is perfect pistol and I shooted from it at gun exam. If you manage to get one that doesn’t rust. I heavily considered the Macro, already having a 19 MOS (winter carry) and a 19X (nightstand). But I went with the 43X MOS having read about rust issues, magazine wear/rust/cost issues, etc. with the Sig.

Riton Optics 3 tactix mprd2. Pretty inexpensive red dot and amazing customer service.
What magwell are you running on your 19?
I liked it as well. I hope he answers.
Stryke Industries magwell. He mentions it at 4:07.
G43X hell yeah 👍
I hoped that you will help me to choose, but still dont know :D
Not wearable for me but perfect of home and sport. Still not decide which one. Idely both, but second pistol I am decided for Ruger LCP II to pocket..
You said 19x 😂 you like the X at the end
I like both but lean more towards the 19 cause at the end of the day capacity is a thing these days.
19 any day!!! size and weigh just make it a better gun
TRAIN WITH IT!!!!
43x most
43x mos
I don’t think I can get any of them 2 in California 😂
I decided to go with the Glock 49 for home defense instead of the 19. Now leaning towards the Glock 26 mos. for EDC. Any comparison video for the 26 vs 43x ? Thanks for sharing though.
Does he keep calling the glock 19 a 19x...am i confused? Isnt it just a glock 19?
yes, Gen 5 19 MOS, not 19x
I use the shield mags gen 2 and 3 and never have a problem!! Thousands of rounds not one misfeed!
I got both 😅
why not just buy a micro dagger?
Can never seem to catch them in stock!
@@dtreviews that is definitely true
Well both !!!! 😂
19x? This is not a 19x bro. I do appreciate the video though.
Carry both😂
43x does have some kak recoil
19mm lol
Honestly I would NEVER rely on those Psa mags for self defense so the g19 is an easy choice.
I hear what you are saying however, it's a good option that PSA is offering.
@@dtreviews oh I know, I have 4 of them and have had issues with all of them. My only point is that for self defense, OEM is the only way to go.
X Macro is better than both and just as reliable!
If you manage to get one that doesn’t rust. I heavily considered the Macro, already having a 19 MOS (winter carry) and a 19X (nightstand). But I went with the 43X MOS having read about rust issues, magazine wear/rust/cost issues, etc. with the Sig.
@@zibby43 i get your point. I’ve had mine for more than a year now. Carry it always and been to and from the range and have see no rust issues at all anywhere. I think most of the “rust issues” are due to improper maintenance on owners.
X macro is a nice looking pistol, but I’ve seen a few videos online where the gun have negligence discharge by itself. That alone makes me stay away. Maybe in like 8-10 years when its been proven more.
@@MelodyTymee are you talking about the p320 because that’s not an issue in the xmacro. If it was the case, must have been a faulty one.
