Hi everyone! Here's my drawing of a Misty Forest Landscape! I've been using this process in a few recent projects and I always find it so much fun. So I really wanted to share it with you. I hope it helps out in some way. Let me know what you think. Thank you so much for the amazing support! Hope you're all having an awesome day. :) -Chris
I've never really explored misty mountains from an artistic perspective, even though I do a lot of work with fantasy and sci-fi themes, so this was really insightful and inspirational. I'll definitely have to try this in one of my next drawings. Thanks, LethalChris!
The way you describe what you are doing is so helpful. Details like which parts of the pencil tip you're using, different techniques to erase gently, etc, are the kinds of details people like myself need to hear, to really help at home. Thanks so much!
I tired one of your tutorials on how to draw a misty mountain and i turned out beautiful.Every time i saw your tutorials i thought i would not be able to make it.But after all i made it.You are really inspiring. Thanks for the tutorial and i'll look forward for more such tutorials.YOU ARE AWESOME.
I cherish videos such as this they help shorten my learning curve. Solid mix of giving reasoning behind the method you choose while keeping in context the whole piece of work. For me, this could be they way I finally can begin my journey.
Chris it is AMAZING what you are able to create with just a few pencils and an eraser! I love to watch how all these beautiful drawings grow out of you hand.
I'm retired and decided to get back into drawing. I like your style and how you explain the process. Your videos have taught me more about shading and I hope to be able to improve my drawings. Thank you so much for your teaching. I really enjoy your work.
I have no experience at all in drawing. In process of becoming a mosaic artist and intersted in adding drawing techniques to enhance projects. I found this video very helpful. Would really be interested in viewing videos targeted for people without any formal training in art, with deliberate steps at slower pace. Thank you incredible misty trees. I love drawing trees and looking at them. So excited to learn your techniques! Best Denise
Great tutorial, the specific details about what pencil you used and how to create the depth from background to foreground, was really helpful. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Chris! I enjoyed your video very much. Fog is my hardest concept to convey. I am a pencil Artist as well as Chalk Pastels. I'm trying to create a foggy scene with pastels and it is most difficult. By watching your drawing with pencil, I think I can find a method to do what I intend. Today is 03/13/20 and I am most grateful indeed! I've tried to watch other video's but not only is yours easy to grasp, you have a gentle voice which helps more than you can know. I also subscribed to your channel today! Again, thank you so much!
Thank you for this very helpful tutorial! I'm taking an adult art class and this helped me draw a picture of fog which represents the word "dormant" to me for one of my projects! Blessings on your artistic gift!
I always thought that drawing from pencils you needed to start from the front ground 1st, the middle ground, and the back ground for last. you drawn this landscape as you were using a paint brush, I just learned something new, NO LIE, 4REAL...
Drawings are wonderful, and thank you for describing your process and materials. So many RUclipsrs just have music with no dialogue. Some of them have nice art but without the descriptions their videos are almost worthless to me.
This was such an amazing video. I don't do much with pencil/graphite but you have inspired me to start doing so. I have drawn with prisma color colored pencils for years and didn't really know just how many wonderful effects you can get from pencil. Thank you.
This is going to be so much fun! I've never tried drawing a landscape before. I'm usually drawing portraits or creatures. I can't wait to try this! Thank you very much of sharing your talent with us!
I'm helping the new caretaker of our boarding school decorate the hallways with a few drawings and I've been really struggeling with the forest for my drawing of the castle Neuschwanstein that's right outside our school and your tutorial really helped! Thank you!!
Your drawing is beautiful! I particularly love the birds; I didn’t expect the angle they were drawn at, and it worked much better than what my idea would’ve been. Well done!
Thank you for explaining how to do this. I do a online drawing app and the word is fog. You explained it so simply but understandable to someone like me whereas I have a tough time with written instructions. Thanks. Subscribed and liked.
Oh I love this tutorial. I thank you for taking the time and effort to make it. This will help with my current project I am working on for a commission. It is a D&D god walking in the background and a village and mountains and trees up front.
