Hi everyone! Here's my drawing of a Waterfall Landscape! This is a really relaxing style of drawing to work on and I highly recommend giving it a try. I hope the video helps out in some way. Please let me know what you think. And also let me know if you have any suggestions for future drawing videos. Thank you so much for the amazing support! Hope you're having an awesome day. :) -Chris
Pretty much one of my main sources of inspiration and one of my favorite art channels I love all of your artwork and thank you for this drawing I'm going to test it out and see if it works 😜
LethalChris Drawing hy Chris I really love your art and my birthday happens to be very soon! I wojld be very happy if you could draw something on the 17th of July becauss its my bday and seeing yojr work on my birthday will really make me greatful! hope you read this c:
hey Chris im really hoping yoh will reply because my birthday is in 6 days snd if you could manage a drawing for my birthday I will be very greatful, thanks
All i need to do is look at the picture placed on the video to like it. His videos aren't clickbait which amazes me- never knew someone could be amazing as you Chris! Keep drawing/painting!
These are the kind of landscape drawings I want to learn to draw. I love the details that give the impression of the imagery. Very peaceful. Beautifully done.
My experience: 1. Watches the whole video 2. Stares at paper 3. Pours water onto paper 4. *stare intensifies* 5. Flips table 6. Starts crying 7. Goes to bed I'll see myself out.
I think he needs way more support because he works very hard for drawings that not many people even see. tThese drawing are amazing, I think people should appreciate him more.
Man, I always wanted to surprise my parents (they call me their "little artist" because of my love for drawing) with these typed of masterpiece. This is slowly teaching me some new art stuff I've never learned before! Thank you for what you do, Chris!
Dearest Christopher~ you know, I watch each and every pencil tutorial you offer us, never once wondering "how" I might ever reach this level of skill BECAUSE you are so concise with your teachings. Really! I'm ALWAYS amazed at how beautifully you do what you do and it so inspires me to continue with my own works. Because of YOU, my art has reached yet another level of mastery (although "mastery" is a bit of a stretch. {giggle}) Anyway, lest I bore you with my adoration, I shall end with this: THANK YOU. Always and for all you do. Thank YOU!
Absolutely brilliant. A couple of pencils and a piece of paper, with your talent, come alive as a beautiful tranquil scene I could almost step into. Well done, I love your tutorials.
I wanted to suggest a challenge if that is ok. It is the only mechanical pencil challenge. You can only use one .7 mechanical pencil for the whole drawing. No other tools whatsoever. No blending sticks or pens or rulers. You can use an eraser but you can't blend with your finger! This is just a suggestion and in no way am I forcing you to do this. Love your work and don't ever stop.
whoa...You're incredible...your work is very therapeutic and your voice is so soothing...most importantly your techniques sound very achievable and effective...thank you
Hi Chris! Just wanted to say I really really enjoy your videos. I was supposed to take up Art school but my parents wanted me to go engineering instead in which I have no interest in. But watching your videos really rekindled that artsy side I loved so much. Just know that somewhere out there, people are really inspired by you. One of those people is me. Thanks!
Followed along with you tonight. Turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself...and I do! A lot of stop/start on the video, but, hey, it worked. I haven't really drawn anything like this before. In fact, the last thing I drew, I think I was in 5th grade??? maybe? It was a horse head. I get to be 69 next year. Just lately I have been working on improving my drawing by copying flowers, trees, and now, landscapes. I have a long way to go before I will be able to visualize what I'm wanting to do and get it down on paper. I'll get there if just for my own satisfaction. Thank you for being such a good teacher and sharing your talent with us.
Very nice 👍. Very very helpful, I make hand carved signs and the shading to bring out rocks trees, water really helped me. Thank you, Eric wood carver and sign maker. Reno NV 😎
something that i have been wondering when you do these types of drawing is.. do you have a reference photos or photos of some type in front of you for guid lines of how you want your final image to look? or do you just go along and make it up in your head as your drawing ( i ask this because you have no basic sketch of what you're doing on the page before you dive into the shading and stuff) i always find it hard to picture things in my head with a basic sketch first.
its so different, the vibes from your naration...totally different from others...i observed that u always narate saying i tried this,i did this...may b it will help u also......and what others mostly narrate is they dictate..,do this, now that....yours feels friendly and supportive! #love from India
First time I ever subscribed to someone. I have tried your dragon series and I have finished three of them. I use color pencils though. Keep up the awesome work. I am expecting to see more dragons.
these shading are awesome. i have a 0.7 hb pencil and i used it to try out a human face. i got half of it right. but the amount of time that took me had me stop. this seem more easier. i will certainly give this a try. thank you for the advice.😊
how do you get such level of neatness and crispness using pencils? Al of my pencil drawings usually end up looking like detailed smudges of different shades.
so cool! I love watching you draw and listening to your explanation. It really brings me so much more of an understanding and lots of inspiration, and is calming/meditative in the process.
I am just starting my journey into art. I really enjoy the pencil sketching. Your voice is very soothing and you make it seem so easy! Thanks for the videos.
If I could only draw with that much attention to detail and actual light values I feel I for once would be able to draw whatever I wished and not have to explain what it was... Too many times I draw and have to say what it is lol... Keep up the great work, and who knows? Maybe I will pick up something along the way!
I have a question when a you are drawning realistic you have to erase the pencil lines or cover the color with color pencil? I wonder to know that little part of the class
Hi Chris I was wondering what you use to film your drawings I'm trying to start up a RUclips channel and I've experimented with different filming methods which haven't worked great thanks. P.S you are my favourite artist I love your style creativity and you're pure talent thanks for giving me and many others so much inspiration
Hey, thank you so much for the kind words and support. It really means a lot! :) I currently use a Canon 750D with a 55mm lens for these videos. Before that, I was using a Sony Handycam which worked quite well. I hang them directly over the paper with a boom arm attached to a microphone stand. Hope this helps! Thanks again!
This is very beautiful, I love it and it is very inspiring. Apart from one thing (and please don't be mad at me). But the waterfall itself does not look as waterfall at all. It looks like flowing lava or maybe even hair. But not water. There's no splashes, no mist, no bubbles, no nothing. I know it's only a small waterfall but still. I still love the drawing though :-)
Beautiful. Im new here. Im new ish too to drawing. Im teaching myself so i use a ref pick all the time. But im really bad and struggling with shading. Are u able to do an extreme beginner step by step shading video pls?
Have you ever thought about a Drawing tip video? (I'm new so I'm not sure if you have done it yet) You have such a great way of explaining and expressing. I'm sure many people would find help and enjoy the video myself included . Then again it is totally understandable if its not your style or you simply don't want to do so. Just thinking aloud . Thanks for a great video :D
