these videos are seriously great. i've been doing a couple inbetween inktober stuff and they're great for relaxing and just chilling with pencils. also thank you for showing each step clearly - they're super easy to follow along with and not overly complicated. lovely.

A technique I use for reflections that helps, is to take a piece of glass line it up to where you want it to start, slightly tilt and gaze through it, simply draw what you see.
Your videos are phenomenal man, they reinspired me to return to fine art and I've been doing my own similar series since, i"d like to show you some time and get some feedback if you have the time.

You ask for suggestions, and I've got one.
I really like traditional Japanese art, particularly in the Ukiyo-e style. Last couple of weeks I've been working on landscape and animal drawings by Hiroshige, Eisen, Kuniyoshi and Koson, particularly _Hiroshige_ . But I feel like I'm struggling a bit deciphering their exotic style. I know they don't use pencils, but I don't think that's my biggest problem, my copies of theirs somehow come off more Western than the original. Would be awesome if a master like you had a look at their drawings and made a tutorial on traditional Japanese style. I know it's too much to ask, but I'm a cheeky bastard. Thanks again for your nature videos! Cheers.

I didn't know Bob Ross was also a pencil artist, *mind blown*. Haha, this was a very cool video theme. I'm enjoying the mist element you're adding towards your recent drawings/illustrations. I find that you could make like a mist series, like for example an idea that came to mind of doing a full moon surrounded by mist and the main character being a wolf howling. There's many possibilities, but keep it up; Chris. (:

Chris, one thing I need help with is how to draw the bank of a river or lake when you're facing the bank from the other side, looking across the river or lake at the opposite bank.

i love a dark boarder around majority of my drawings!! I am not a fan of using the edges of the paper as my boarder.

Yes it help, but I use a hand held eraser , kneaded eraser to do the mist.

It is amazing and I find watching your video really relaxing. By the way, when you are talking about it's hard to do the reflection, I was thinking if you are painting digitally, do you just copy and flip the layer -> reflection done?
Thank you so much for the kind words. :) Yep, that works. I've used that method while digitally painting a scene a few times. Adding some blur effects to the reflection afterwards helps too. I'll have to attempt something like this for a video sometime! Could be really fun. Thanks again!
I have a little problem with drawing evergreens right next to the water, because where I grew up, they typically don't survive right next to water. Their roots drown. Can you draw a high bank so the trees have a more realistic footing in the ground, ie, a little higher and dryer? Thanks.

I used to blend with paper by rolling it because I've had a hard time finding a blending stick
