Good morning, always look forward to the Friday AAR review with my espresso. Perfect pick me up after a shockingly awful week. I have two lever action rifles but you can't beat a proper bolt with a decent action. Nice looking rifle 👍
Been looking at these for about a year, glad to see a decent review being carried out. It’s long but I like that, it’s fancy and I love that, it’s gonna be mine, oh yes! 😮 see you at the show andy 👍🏻
Beautiful guns!!! However in Spain the price is high, for a few Euros more you can get the FX Dreamline with GRS laminate stock, adjustable power and side lever…
Here in Chile my Effecto was around $850 while the FX Dreamline GRS is $2150!
Morning all
Your not having much luck with the weather lately Andy but never mind Summers on its way . That aside nice bit of grouping . You was right about the loading stroke very short indeed .
Yet another cracking review Andy.
Very tempted. See you at the British Shooting Show 👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice Andy but I’ll save my money for an R12.
Good Morning Andy, Great review as always. Nice looking rifles, you are right when you say it is nice to see a rifle and not a bull pup.
Wow!! Things have changed so much since 1968 🤣.. I still like a spring though 😊 but that is fantastic accuracy at that range!! Great video, thanks!!
The bolt looks amazing, a black ash .22 would be perfect, I would've liked to have listened to the .22 being fired, that thud would sound very satisfying 👍😎
I see that Diana 54 in the background... that's currently my favorite springer, even over my ProSport. Looks good in laminate!
Another great review Andy and one I’ve been waiting for. A great rifle. But of course I’ll have to wait until 10th February in case something else changes my mind!
beautiful unit and very accurate
Always look forward to your early Friday morning posts Andy with the guarantee it’s going to be interesting and informative of which today’s is no exception
That’s a nice rifle for sure. Personally it’s too cumbersome and weighty for me but will undoubtedly appeal to a great many shooters. While on the subject of weight, it would be nice if you could give us the weight in Imperial too 😁
Another good cast. 👍
Beautiful stock, very similar to my hw97
That magazine looks like there is only the option of tall scope mounts. Look how far the centre of the scope is to the barrel. Andy did a great job of shooting that with the cheek rest not lifted.
Nice looking piece of kit.
Good morning Andy, I've enjoyed watching your videos so much that I have submitted an air weapons application (Scotland) and plan to buy the BSA R-12 CLX (Bolt action of course) Thanks so much for your fantastic videos and thank you for getting me back into the world of air guns!! Keep up the great work!
@@juniusvindex769 Hi, yes unfortunately Scottish law now deems that any sub 12ft lb air weapon requires a licence which costs £72 and lasts 5 years.
Save your money and get a second hand R10 and then send it off to john bowkett and get it blueprint tuned and put the rest of the cost difference to towards a good scope you will love it and it will cost you less than a R12
@@Marc-xc9yg Much appreciated! I'm still toying with that or the Daystate Wolverine R. Hearing a lot of faults with the BSA? Getting back into it after many years and don't want to make the wrong choice! 👍
ahhh nice you're reviewing my darling! It packs quite a punch in .25, unrestricted power!
Love it :) Especially in orange
Awesome. I bought a blue one. Soon i’ll test it
Many many years ago when I was a young man, i had no idea there were any Turkish Air rifle manufacturers. Now they are everywhere and some of them are pretty good. Top vid Andy 👌
Same here. I just recently bought a Daisy/Winchester break barrel air rifle made in 1960, model 624, and it's made in Turkey. It makes sense because Europe has a much longer air gun technology history than the North American continent.
I love the blue stock.
Really beautiful
Beautiful rifle, reminds me of the Daystate huntsman.
Very good intro video Andy
hi andy could u do a video on the best way to prepare ur airgun for post ie so it dose not get stolen/broken. I know u use a dealer for this but whats the best way to prep ur gun box ie need a lock??
I’m impressed with the gun at that price
Nice review and thanks for using imperial and metric. At my age I should be firmly in the traditional wooden stock camp but they’re rarely anything I’d call special even in walnut and I’d choose these laminate versions every time. For me this gun is just too big and heavy except for bench work and when all said and done it’s a sub 12ftlb pcp not a recoiling springer - possibly in .25 FAC it could win me over.
Another great review. However, there is no correlation between barrel length and accuracy other from a longer sight base when using iron sights.
Looks amazing, what kind of shooting chair do you use?
When I shoot out to 40 to 50 yds I prefer to shoot in the prone position , I find being lower to the ground helps to combat the wind to some degree , I've often wondered why more of the target shooting sections aren't done the same way ?
I like fully regulated rifles ,,,but I love wood colored stocks 😊
Hi Andy, would it be possible to add into your description a link to the scope you use?
Show how you pump them up I'm looking to upgrade my old break barrel thanks
I totally agree Andy definitely for target shooting.
Walther Barrels are the business.
As for Vector Air popped into them while visiting friends.
Just to have a look walked out with the walther raien.
Fantastic small bullpup and
Extremely accurate.
And great shop as well extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Will definitely visit them again when I'm up that way.
As always great video fella.
Thank You Andy, liking the blue laminate a lot 👍🇬🇧👍
Very nice
Nice very nice all things air gun seem to be getting better value 👍
Those are pretty! 👀
Plywood [sorry-laminate] tends to be heavy......nice looking guns but as yet ive not seen one in action, probably way too heavy for me.nice work again Andy as always.
Effecto sounds like a character on the show disenchanted
Good review Andy, i have a Px-5 Sport which has a GRS style stock, is used for purely for bench rest & is "uber" accurate, is easily the equal of my Daystate Mk4 or FX Dreamline 👍
Nice, BUT how would you rate it against an R10 given its in a similar price bracket and style?
Great gun...👍
Would love to see you do a review on the new Kral empire xs
Maybe a show on the .22 FAC in the future
Love it. Great shot grouping 👍🏻
Awesome stock.
But you never fired it once.
You shoot air rifles man.
Good morning to everyone
Happy Friday, Simon. 👍
@@BionicRusty wow thanks , happy Friday to you
Good morning Simon!
Good morning to you to
Ahoy
What have you there over your shoulder Andy ? Looks interesting.
Another interesting review, its shame the gun is on the heavy side for me but will suit many
really accurate rifle and looks good as wel, although i think i would prefer the walnut, or maybe one of these in black pepper laminate?
I have the walnut and it's gorgeous
9th of Feb ,CMON!
I've been saving for a new rifle for over a year , I've got a few rifles in my sights , however im waiting for thursday before I make any decisions .
Wow 😲 really nice 🙂👍.
Any chance of reviewing the reximex ixia?
Hello Andy.. i love your channel and vids.. missed the .22 on the target work because you talked all the time over .22 and you shot .177 😢
Great video as usual Andy.
That rifle isn't that different to the AA HFT500 I have (length & weight) and I love shooting that.
With that lovely bolt I bet it looks the business in walnut.
How much
Ok
Looks A Decent Rifle !! Will they be @ the shooting Show ?
Nice 👍👍👍👍
I have the zeon..And it needed 80 to 100 shots to settle in for dime size group's..And i love the gun ...So Andy is shooting a very nice group with this rilfe ..And i think i understood well he did not shoot it in ..So conclusion ,effecto make very nice air rifle's.Maybe 100 to 150 euro's to expensive ..On the other hand it aint no Hatsan.Nice clip.
Where does electo manufacture their rifles ?
Good grouping there matey 👍
Hi dear friend one question please
I bought effecto x5 brand new,I have it 6 months but before two months ago I noticed that the pressure in the chamber is gradually decreasing, when the gun sits in the box I bought it in, say a week And I notice that the pressure drops,is tat normal on not???
Thanks-josif
Interesting "mid" price rifle. I wonder who is the "target" audience and is this set up narrowing or widening is attraction ? I like it for a back to basics approach.
Why is the thing for the bolt so small?
Like it should go farther back and I nee like a proper magazine fed sniper
They look gorgeous Ggrrr I want everything you review Glad I'm not a millionaire 👍👍👍
Those laminate stocks look truly garish.
And the price.... So good. 😁
We need more bolt action pcp air rifles !
bought one of these from Solware- not mentioned in review is that if you mount a 30mm tube scope you have to crank scope elevation up to max to zero it - straight of the bat, Solware said you need to shim the back mount up, because the Turks dont cant the scope rail - surprised Andy didnt mention this, and that he got that accuracy
Can’t say I had to shim anything… seems a bit of a sweeping statement about “all Turkish guns?”, Ive shot quite a few and haven’t had an issue. Stay safe. Andy
HEAVEY!! OT WHAT!! FORGET THAT
Great gun & review, but I can't stand laminate stocks... what's wrong with me!? 😄
About same weight as my old slr lol
mmmmm…nice !
Very entertaining and enjoyable vlog Andy as always. I have a question that I’d like to ask you and that is ; are there various categories to be able to comply with an FAC . Namely , id like to if possible move to a .25 calibre. Is the criteria the same for this as say a shotgun or bullet rifle . Ps I’m not a rogue or anything 😄 . Would love your input, even maybe consider a blog on this subject ? Kind regards Dave 👍
The calibre is not the deciding factor with an FAC gun. you can have a sub 12 ft-lb .25 cal rifle without a license. If its power levels you are talking about, then it is an FAC you require, not a shotgun license.
each firearms area has differing opinions on issuing these, and for me to do a program on Licensing would be fraught with issues and cannot be definitive because of local firearms officers having differing opinions. you will need to apply for an FAC to your local officers. Stay safe. Andy
How much the price sir.
I don't know when I can own this.
Having shot a PX5 at my local club when they first came out, I can say I'd rather spend similar or a bit more money for a HW110, HW100 or an AA S410 or S510. Whilst the gun is capable, it just doesn't feel as well engineered and nicely finished as the aformentioned models. Spares availability is a question mark, and I doubt these will hold much resale value should you choose to shift it on at a later date.
Why would you supply a filler probe with a threaded fitting, instead of a Foster fitting?
Because most pumps come with a threaded female fitting. Stay safe. Andy
@@AAROnair All the one I've seen on Ebay, have a Foster fitting.
Andy's PCP review's...
Something you don't hear many reviewers say anymore "sweet spot" ,in this age of dual regulated rifles most newer shooters don't even know that a lot of rifles ( even some single regulated ones still have a "sweet spot" where the pellets fly at their best .
I don't like it , I love it
So this isn't a fully regulated rifle ?
Nice but too heavy for me. my Rm8 is as heavy as I would want to go.
Looks a big heavy ungainly rifle to me, but could be a good bench rest gun I suppose.
En forgot it was Friday 😅😅😅
(Satire) can it shoot down a Chinese balloon? Asking for a friend lol but the grouping and with those conditions fair play.
WAY MORE ACCURATE THAN ANY FX!!! AND A GREAT PRICE.
Did you tried it?
Morning 👍
just over 44 inches long. I get that, but cm,s aint got a clue how long that is ? yep its my age you see.
I would sooner stick with the BSA
That looks a bulky and heavy thing ,and I'm used to a hw80 . I know tastes and trends change but to me the plywood stocks look cheap and awful ,something I'm my mind ruins a very good gun .
It’s crazy you can have a semi auto rim fire like the ruger 10/22 but no semi auto air guns in the uk , yet another stupid law
The Steyr pro scout is available UK, which is about as 'semi auto' as we can get, but isn't cheap and only 5 shot iirc.
Yes we can have semi auto .22Lr, but only by obtaining a FAC, and then there are restrictions on where we can use them etc.
Is it just me or do these rifles look a bit rough around the edges. The finish on the writing looks a bit rough and looking at the close-ups, I can't help but notice all the marks on the rifle.
Sorry for me I would go for the AirArms 410
Lifetime guarantee or…….
If this is regulated, then why is is showing a sweet spot? Surely if it’s regulated it should be the same all the way from full to nearly empty.

Why don't you people stick to either 25 yds or 35 yds for your test so we can compare the guns over the same distance? I have seen everything from 20 yds to 50 yds for 12 ft lbs tests. When you just show us a raggedy hole and say you are pleased with that it doesn't tell us much.
