most dps units prefer glamoth but only at 160 speed, which you realistically arent going to achieve. I think you should only consider glamoth at 135 speed, then you will see other sets like salsotto be preferred

One take away from this is that there are so many Crit DPS in the game.

This doesn't make sense
It's why I fell in love with the Dotters it's such a big change of pace for me. I'm tired of crit builds. (I still use them, but my most invested units are the Dot ones and they are easier to build too so I don't need to minmax hard compared to crit and praying for max rolls on them).
Dots my kafka if I want for shit and giggles can make her reach 170 speed before Mei or her own lightcone kick in. (But I run her 140 because Mei and lightcone makes her hit the perfect 160 speed.

Cause at that point Hackerspace shoots through the roof as basically all characters Like the 2pc bonus of that set.
Longevious ist also very versatile, as essentially all supports, healers and Tanks Like the HP it provides
well the situation that made ppl use 2pc2 in the first place is the lack of concentrated domain farming. i don't think farming multiple domain to get specific 2pc2 is considered efficient since there's bound to be more rng.

I noticed there is only one listing as wanting Salsotto. My understanding was that Clara, Himeko, Argenti, Jing Yuan, Topaz, Ratio, and Yanqing all want Salsotto, especially if they run attack boots and dont have the speed for Glamoth, but people just go for the second choice because the Belebog set makes it inefficient to farm. Also there is no listing for quantum Rutilant, which some would argue is better for QQ and Seele.
Yeah it’s also weird that’s there’s no listing for vonwacq and eagle which is the most sought after relic pieces for supports maybe this graph is made from popularity votes of casual players specially seeing that casuals value highly of world 8 not knowing that both planar set is actually a trap.
Yeaahh Glamoth is very good but only when you can reach the SPD it's asking for, and Penacony relic set is sooo bad unless you plan on going for mono element@@setsunaaottg291

@@oliveratom5957 it is pretty “inefficient” to farm it if you think it that way but it just mind boggles me how su 9 is the most “preffered” world to farm when realistically most supports prefer von and glamoth can realistically only be used by 6 characters half of those are 4 stars.

I know I'm only a minute in but, is that graph saying Inert Salsotto is used by ONE unit in the game??
It's because almost every DPS in the game would rather run glamoth at 160 SPD, however not every DPS is going to hit 160 SPD so I'm not entirely sold on this data.
@kearwin Yeah it's giving some false data, sure that set is "better" but 15% boost to follow up attacks and burst damage AND 8% crit rate is nearly best in slot on many dps units.
Saying it's "used by one unit" tells new people "oh that set must really suck and probably not worth farming"

You can even make this even cooler if you give more weight to main preference than their secondary one. But, take that much needly rest for now.
Hackerspace domain is BY FAR the best to farm for any newer players just wanting to build a relic base bc any hero in the game can use this 2pc/2pc. Ropes and spheres it depends more on what characters you have, but saying glammoth domain is the best to farm bc it's endgame BiS and the most characters use it makes no sense to me as I'm only focused on building 2-3 dps for now. A 2pc with crit such as rutilant arena with broken keel domain seems like an infinitely better use of resource than chasing crit subs on glammoth. Data analysis is cool but it's unrealistic to approach this from the perspective of farming for all 46 characters in the game and seeing what is most efficient from that standpoint.
I'd say it just depends on the characters you have. If most of them are built and you're trying to get relics for future characters, it's safer to farm the glamoth domain. You still get a good supportive set too that some characters want for the 5% ERR. Unless you know the kits of who you're saving for then that's another story.

i feel like not including 2pc bonuses here is a huge oversight imo... you cut so much time from farming if you can use virtually anything you roll (biggest offender being hackerspace 2pc probably)

I think having speed on crit dps is no longer as much in demand with the introduction of sparkle. Besides Seele all other dps will be going with attack boots and 0 speed substats when paired with Sparkle... which means speed boots and maybe even glamoth attack sets are looking to be less useful outside of DoT setups
sadly you only have 1 sparkle at most....so yeah
@@thorsten13999 the other side can be using a hyperspeed bronya with a slow dps, utilizing ruan mei's talent or using asta or using hanya(100% uptime on the ultimate speed buff at e4) or something but it still is at least 50% less efficient now whatever the case. A certain upcoming support is also rumored to buff speed and advance actions for the whole team

I don’t understand how Pioneer set is so popular, like Dr Ratio, maybe Welt and an upcoming character would love to use it but who else? I cant possibly come up with 7 more characters. That’s ridiculous to start farming a new set for your dps when they already have another one with good substats, even if the relic set doesn’t give crit. And you need to play debuffers with your carry for it to activate. Such a pain. And it’s paired with Watchmaker which is really niche and generally bad to farm.
Maybe i don’t understand something about this set, please tell me, have i been living under a rock?
I'm keeping over 600 5 star lvl0 relics locked just because they have potential and about 120 lvl12 or higher locked as well (some unused/spare for different situations) I can't let go of them I think this is the most efficient for future needs

Also worth noting that unlike Genshin, there is no flex slot, so if you get a piece that seems to have a good Main Stat but it belongs to a relic set with anti-synergy on that stat (eg. Crit Dmg body piece on Prisoner Set, or elemental Dmg bonus on Penacony set) there’s little reason to keep that piece around and you can just turn it into fodder for synthesis.
Maybe good as a general rule, but I don't think it's that black and white. Rainbow or 2pc/2pc with really good stats is probably better than 4pc with mediocre stats, so I don't think it hurt to save things with really good sub stats even if the main stat/set don't really match.
@@Maloooon that would only work on support, and only in early. And just main stat alone is not good enough anymore consider units like Black Swan want 120% EHR, which means you practically need EHR in every pieces of your gear on top of the usual DoT stat like Attack/ ATK %/ SPD and no crit/crit dmg.
Would be nice to get a copy of this spreadsheet and customize it to what characters you own/decide to gear up. Currently, this video assumes youre gearing up ALL of the currently released people
This is also great in that moment “your inventory is full” info pops up and prevents you from playing. So you desperately try to salvage stuff quickly but still keep potentially useful pieces 😅

Muskateer is best because you get it for free in weeklies and you can use them on any hero. Salsoto is one of best valuewise sets, so i farm that one 90% of times. But im a followup enjoyer
So I see glamoth is great overall. Is this taking into account that you need SPD substats? Even with boots, most characters need 10-15+ spd substat to get the 135 requirement, more if trying to hit 160 breakpoint. Isn't this eating into crit rolls for overall dps? I guess it evens out since you are attacking more often?

Just wanted to ask if theres a "progression" path for new players for HSR, in terms for character /team building.
From many content creators, theres info on builds an/or how to get the relics. but not steps on when and what to focus on.
I started a few weeks ago, did the story till current Penecony, and now slowly going back to clear character missons/ events. But when is best to focus on units? and /or start farming relic, simulated universe...cause i still need to use energy on tracess, level ups, ascension, and light cones.
So just quite unsure when to do what.. some quests give out trials which makes it even easier to carry the team through the story..
Eg. in Genshin the basic knowledge shared is save resin till AR 45 to get 5star artifacts 100%. Cause from AR 1-44 unbuilt characters with basic levelups/weapons can technically get you through most if the game as theres a "world level" like equilibrium.
I realise just doing story up till where Penocony is at and doing some events shot me up to TL 55~58 and barely have anything built aside from some basic gear..
any advice will help! cheers :D

I want to know what you think about the controversial relic stat RNG manipulation that has been talked about recently
I exclusively farm the DoT/FUA Cavern now, got like 3-4 pieces with great stat in an entire week. Gotta gear your DD first i guess.
I kinda laugh hard with this try hard, but appreciate you doing this anyway.
Actually it's matter most based on "Team Set". You designed your relics farm around your requirement for character in team set. Main Break Team, Main DOT team, Main PF team etc. Your main team need to have full set first and cannot share with others because stat use are very different.
And each account have very different number of characters, It's no point to farm based on how many characters benefits from each relics set.
There are some Golden Rules on every games item than can be use "Farm/Buy whatever can solve your problem during game/fight". You lacks Crit you get Crit, You lacks SPD you get SPD.

I think that this doesn't go deep enough, as there are many characters that have other choices for sets that are better, if you get one extra roll into a desired sub-stat, or sometimes even if you get a higher roll.
Which would improve how efficient the generic sets are, as well as reduce differences between Planars.
Wonder what an update version of this would look like.
I've had previous experience in turn based game epic seven and was curious as to if HSR also do speed checking on non optimal pieces to use it as a broken set on support and maybe DPS? Or is it still preferred to satisfy 4 PC bonus with minimal speed roll?
You can calculate the effective stats count of sets. For example, 2 atk set gives you 12% atk, which is 3 sub stats. If you have 1+1 that is 3 sub stats better than 2, then you will want to use 1+1 instead of 2 set.

Is Glamoth actually the best planar set for that many characters? I was under the impression that it's only really optimal for DoT characters that want to build speed to hit that 160 breakpoint. Whereas crit based attackers will probably want either Inert Salsotto or Rutilant Arena?
this spreadsheet assumes all the characters hit 160 speed buff-less (or full uptime buffs) which is a bit.... weird. This also artificially lowers the other offensive planars a lot as you already noticed
If I get relics with usable stats, I stop.
Star Rail support units make up for a huge chunk of missing stats.
