I feel like Forza Motorsport could really distinguish itself with driveatars. They could partner with real racing drivers to create driveatars of them to race on a team with or against. I am sure there are plenty of data on Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly since Microsoft sponsors Alpine. I am looking forward to your new lmdh bop iraicng video now that we are getting the Porsche.
Yeah that would be super cool! Love to see some GT and prototype drivers as well
this looks like what project cars 3 should have been
Project cars 3 was kinda gonna be 💩 regardless 😅
It could be. But I feel like they will end up fumbling the opportunity with some weird decisions, lack of content and poor post-launch support. I mean they've already decided that it's a good idea to lock PC players to 60FPS in multiplayer for "competitive fairness" due to consoles being limited to 60FPS. It's a bizarre band-aid decision that ignores the other better ways to deal with this like just locking the server tickrate to 60FPS or doing the equivalent for P2P matchmaking. But instead of implementing better netcode, they are taking a shortcut that has significant negative consequences for those playing on PC. That decision alone has already dampened my interest in the multiplayer side of the game.
It also means that if you want to actually take multiplayer seriously, any practice you do in single-player is going to be either worthless or actively detrimental, unless you lock your game to 60FPS in single-player as well. Otherwise your muscle memory for things like braking points will be slightly off.
The 60FPS thing is definitely a bummer, however for me it’s not really a deal breaker, anything past 60 is racing sims is fine for me, and my driving on 60fps compared to 120 or 144 is pretty negligible. 60 is still smooth enough. I’m still upset that’s what they went with, but I’m willing to keep an open mind on it and see
I'm hoping it is better than GT7... with better multiplayer... because I just hate only having 3 races available per week on GT7... and the lobby games on GT7 are just pointless fucking around...
Yeah, so far multiplayer seems quite a bit more expensive than GT7
I'm super excited for this one. As a GT7 fan, if it is anything like that it'll be a big win. Having said that; I'll probably wait until Friday after release to buy it just so I can see your review and others, just to make sure it aint complete trash.
So far from what I’ve seen, it does feel pretty comparable to GT7, definitely no throughbread sim, but I wasn’t expecting that. Looking forward to playing it on my wheel none the less!
Is it going to have "actual" wheel support though? They say that and then only support up to 360 degrees of steering and poor force feedback...
According to the devs, it will, they have put a lot more effort into the wheel experience. I’d expect probably as good of FFB as GT7. 0% chance it’s a thoroughbred sim, but hopefully something to still have fun driving with, and also some good online races
@@JCRacing57
Will it be better than Horizon 5 wheel implementation?
@@fajaradi1223it better is or FM will be a faillure.
I think both will have their good and bad, i wont be able to get the new forza, but its still good to have racing game to rival gran turismo, so that game hopefully can also have some fresh new content once the new forza comes out, i have played both franshises for very long time and love both
competition only gives us better games! :D
Yes , yes & yes 🎉
would be good to try out till AC2 comes
Yeah AC2 is supposed to come in Spring, but I doubt it sense we haven’t heard anything in awhile…
I hope this game forces Polyphony to add and fix stuff we want in gt7
Competition makes better products!
Man, this video really deserves a follow up. What they got right and what is disappointing. Especially the PC version. I haven’t even bothered trying it on gamepass. Maybe by patch 3? Who knows. Feels like this game is a mixed bag for sure.
i think Random Callsign made a really good video on it! I wont tred in his water :P
The MOOOOOOST important thing is wheel feel
I would definitely agree! Needs to feel grounded and fun
It could only beat gt7 if they have VR support... that's the only way I play gt7 as none VR does not tickle my pickle...
yeah it would be cool, but its sadly unlikley
If it had VR, but unfortunately it won't....
Yeah, it would only get it if Xbox made some kind of VR headset
I doubt it will have triple screen support let alone vr .. time will tell @@JCRacing57
SIM?!
Niether GT7 or Forza are anywhere near a Sim, watz this guy bakin'?
@@brandonchappell1535 😂
Sim-cade 🙃
For content and singleplayer, I doubt it.
While yes, all of its circuits have full time of day and weather conditions, 20 tracks are still not enough.
And while 500 cars are OK, I already saw some cars which doesn't look good, using X360 models in a Series X game (flashbacks of PS2 cars in a PS3 game with GT).
And it doesn't help the fact that Turn 10 says that some content will release post-launch, meaning that the game will launch unfinished.
In Multiplayer however, it's where things could get interesting...
With prnalty system driven by an AI, I'm looking forward to see how good (or bad) it will work. But it looks better than the one on GT Sport/GT7
Turn10 might update models. They did a massive upgrade with sounds in 7 and unlike PGG, they havent had any problrms with their own staff. PGG had some old dudes that worked ln FH5 holding it behind.
@@recon1673 They had 6 years to do that.
I have two theories:
1_ it was a pop-in issue with that car in the trailer.
2_ it's just bad recreated.
I don't really think that 992 Carrera S is a X360 model, since it's a recent var.
@@zacariascisneros6399the Mercedes 300sl Gullwing is an old car model from FM1 or 2
Forza Motorsport /= Sim
Simcade!
I wonder how GT7 would have been if they werent handicapped by being strapped down to the Base PS4. In turn, all the cool "Next Gext" shit we should have got, we didnt....We literally got a Repurposed GT:Sport that took couldnt even take advantage of a small fraction of the PS5 potential in all the others area aside from "Higher Resolutions", Higher Poly Models, and better framerates. I never like how Forza games play but without a doubt its going to smoke GT7 in every area that NEXT GEN CONSOLES are capable of. Thats why its weird to constantly hear people compare the two like they are on equal ground. Apples and Oranges to me to at this point. Again, its essentially a PS4 title being compared to an actual next gen title on XSX, that also came out 2 years later. I can make some predictions based of that. GT7 strokes out and FORZA wins by a landslide. Yay! Surprising...But, I do have a funny feeling that the Forza Devs will still figure out a way to make everything awesome except for (the one thing) that matters the most, and thats obviously the, "How good the driving actually feels". Also something they havnt been able to figure out (IMO), and no, im not saying the whole "more sim = more better fun time feels"
I think PC will also be a big deal, opening it up to the greater sim racing audience could do wonders for the game, ontop of it not being tied down to 9/10 year old hardware
Series S is already holding back the game on a technical level to some extent. And the Series X and Series S are already holding back PC when it comes to multiplayer in Forza Motorsport as they are capping PC at 60 FPS in multiplayer due to the Xbox S and X's inability to run the game at a higher framerate than that.
Yeah GT7 looks great but still very much like GT Sport. A true ps5 GT could look insanely beautiful.
The graphics of Gt7 are better. Also the vr2 is insane. Wheel support and car physics will make or break this game. I hope it's worth it with the DDpro.
2 things I see so far are better compared to gt 7. The dynamic weather, online multiplayer wit a good penalty system. The lack of vr.. A big negative.
let's see the upgrades:
- more points of contact in tires may indicate the driving could be more precise
- AI works the same as in all previous games, meaning drivers you overtake slow down and drivers you don't overtake gain massive boost
- car upgrade system works exactly like it did in all games since Motorsport 3, just that you have to grind the shit out of your car if you want to use it
- the singleplayer campaign seems to just be a reskin of what the previous 3 games offered
- we don't know anything about the livery editor yet
- car models have not been touched outside of upscaling, there are still X360 and original Xbox car models with their inaccurate shapes and dimensions still unchanged
definitely a 10/10 game
Easily. Ignore the Pony crybabies in the comments. This new Forza looks incredible.
Nope
Why?
Not without the nordschleife.
It’s coming in Q1 24! Hopefully the wait is worth it!
@@JCRacing57 I'm torn. Like I realize they are redoing it from the ground up and the track is huge... But it's the Nordschleife, how you call yourself a serious racing game and don't ship with the Nordschleife. When I got that news literally all of my hype for Motorsports died.
@@patrickwallace6972 the Nords is one of the best layouts of asphalt humanity has ever created, however, for me personally, it’s not a 100% make or break, there are still a ton of fantastic circuits out there, plus, I’d rather it be super high quality and take a little time compared to it being rushed for launch
@@patrickwallace6972it's one track calm down
@@savnoorsamra3597 So you missed where I said all my excitement died? The literal definition of calming down.
not a sim..
Sim-cade ;)
Lol, Forza Motorsport 7 was the gt7 killer..
This Is Forza Motorsport 8. 🎉
FM7 had its fair share of issues, I’d argue GT7 I’d better, but hopefully FM will be a substantial improvement, so far it seems it will be!
@@JCRacing57 We always welcome improvement..
Its going to be interesting to play FM8.. cant wait.. :)
FM7 is worse than Gran Turismo 5.
Which is the worst GT of the franchise
@@zacariascisneros6399 I like how you say that when GT7 exists.
@@mintgoldheart6126 GT7 at least:
-Doesn't have the same restrictive level system to buy cars
-Doesn't have EXPENSIVE AF cars in the used car dealer
-Have full detailed cars only
-Doesn't have a separate B-Spec mode (I think B-Spec mode will return in GT7, but like the one from GT4 or GT6)
-The UI isn't ugly and a mess
Forza rules Xbox4life
Short and simple. Physics is what makes simulators. Forza has no realistic physics as of yet.
It would be considered a sim-cade. For Forza as long as it feels good on a wheel and is still grounded in realism. I will be happy.
@@JCRacing57 I guess we shall see but I have a feeling this will not do well except on xbox consoles. No chance on PC compared to AC, AMS2, F1 23.
