Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices. Fasting should be investigated as a treatment for disease.
Nutritional yeast has all the B vitamin complex except for B12, and it really works wonders on mental illness, anxiety, stress, neurological issues. I take up to 6 tablespoons a day depending on the day I’m having. maintenance dose is 2 tablespoons.
@@btudrus Per google “steak contains reasonable amounts of vitamins B2, B3, and B6, as well as more than 100% of the DVs for selenium and zinc ( 11 ).” Nutritional Yeast has the B vitamin complex except B12. Sooooooo I’d definitely do both. 😁
Have a look at Stephen Gundry's book looking at how keto helps mitochondria - and gives suggestions on how to achieve the same effect without keto diet.
great recommendation...i'm reading it now...just finished "nature wants us to be fat" by richard johnson which is also good...when it comes to mito health morley robbins' book is great as cupro enzymes power so many things
You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health. Lower stress, reduce obesity and more exercise are key to a healthy life. Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world. Fast food and sugary drinks are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity. Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly. Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer. Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game. A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility. Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun. Every city should be a bicycle city. Speak up for bicycles in your community
I agree with you, until you put everything into a plant based food position, the problem is what you said, sugar and highly processed food. Any diet that gets rid of the above foods will work. I lived plant based, felt great but you need supplements, if you don't you get into issues. On Strikley plant based I was not able to come off my medications, as I have been able to with a ketogenic diet and I don't take expensive supplements. Exercise is a key to any diet. Being a plant based dieter is wonderful but it is not the only way.
The ketogenic diet is not a plant based diet. I think you came to the wrong place possibly. This is a high fat, moderate protein, low carbohydrate diet. Some go low to no carbohydrates so that included plants as well. much love and don’t mean anything wrong by this but meat is ESSENTIAL and cholesterol is also very good for the brain. ♥️

well said...my recent blood donation entitled me to a ten dollar donut coupon... 🤡
Unfortunately if med schools begin to teach nutrition- I doubt very much that it would be along the lines of low carb and ketogenics.
Thank you so much !

When I fast, ketones get their fuel from stored fat. If you’re anorexic there might not be enough fat for fuel.
That’s when those people need to insure they are consuming enough fat to fuel their bodies.
