      This was excellent David thanks. Mine is similar but I never use that variable wand. "Az ass shy-te!" Very interesting upgrades. I have a hose extension that coils up constantly. My Karcher is about 3 years old. Couple of things I'd mention: purge the system before trying disconnect hoses. Also a bloke did our drains with a different but similar system. WD40 your connections. The plastic can often lock Cheers. Den.

    I got the k2 patio clean package, I was hesitant to buy the entry level karcher but it was on special offer for £100.

    Interesting. I have a K7 PW, it's ok. But I was always disappointed with the output from the adjustable lance. I have a petrol PW too, with the different colour nozzles. The water jet is 'clean', compared to the Karcher - which seems a bit 'aerated' even on the most powerful setting. Anyway, I was browsing amazon and spotted a replacement lance, with the 5 different colour nozzles, I bought it. That replacement lance & nozzles has transformed the Karcher - as you show in this video. Best £20 I've spent for a long time! Regards,

    What an excellent video, I feel this is a perfect video for anyone looking to make a start in the mobile valeting business, most people have a karcher k2 but they upgrades look spot on to making it more effective. Only issue would be getting an electrical supply to your vehicle but I'm sure there's a way around that. Or use a customers electricity with an extension cable.
    Does anyone have a link for that exact 10M hose in the video ? Would definitely be a great idea as it doesn't curl up and would make life a bit easier.

      Thankyou Stephen, im sure for anyone just starting most customers would be ok with people using their electrics, i know a lot of mobile guys who use the customers water and electric.
      When i went back to get the link to that hose the seller had stopped selling it so i put a similar hose link in, if you go onto the infinity wax wax website they do a great 10m hose all be it a little more expensive than the amazon one.

      No problem atol, It could be possible the a seal within the pump unit has gone. Unfortunately the pump units in the K2 are made of plastic and sometimes do fail. How old is the machine? If it’s under warranty still I would take it back for a replacement.
      The upgrades really make a huge difference to the performance. The K2 seems to get a lot of hate but I think there great wee machines

    In terms of snow foam, have you looked at the difference in performance with bith bottles? I gave away my Karcher FJ6 bottle and got a proper snow foam lance, but I'm skeptical if there's any difference or how much if there is a difference. What I find is more important is the snow foam itself. I've tried various brands and some are better than others.

    • @DavidMcBay
      @DavidMcBay  2 года назад +1

      Ive not directly compared the performance, tbh ive never thought of doing that. I think it depends on how you want to use your snowfoam, a lot of people apply a prewash then layer the snowfoam on top to get a better dwell of the stronger prewash, so thicker foam is better there. Your correct though when you say its all about the foam itself, if you use a bad foam, it doesnt matter how thick it is, its not going to clean.

      Hi Brian, if you have the same machine that I have in the video then the longer hose will be a direct replacement, no addition items would be required. My machine has the grey c clip on the machine and yellow c clip on the lance and the longer hose in the link in the description should be a perfect fit.
      The long hose alone makes a huge difference, then eventually upgrading the gun part will make the machine much nicer to use.

    Hi mate. I have done all of those upgrades to my K5. The best I think is the hose but I got one from the Karcher service center in Port Glasgow that doesn't curl up. I need one of those stubby gun extenders and the rubber coated nozzles in my life. One of the reasons I have not bought the extender is I had considered the under body trolley adapter which comes with the pipes but I am not sure yet and my wife thinks I am crazy if I get that but I think she thinks that anyway. I was going to get them from carscope but will look at KDN again. A quick question have you ever tried the K2 from a bucket as I was going to buy one for my Father in law but he doesn't have an outside tap. Good tip on changing from 40 to 25 degree head I seem to have got lazy recently and only ever use the 40. Thanks.

Was great for getting all that winter grime and salts off the car, have a look at KDN mate, they have even better rubber tipped nozzles in now and they sell the under car cleaners. Ive never tried it from a bucket John, im not sure i would want to though. The other machine that i use is the direct hoses AB9 which is around £130 and you get everything with it including the long hose, stubby gun etc and works great from a bucket, ive done a video on that ruclips.net/video/GegtnC2nFes/видео.html if you want to check it out.
