    Check Nozzle aperture/orifice size is correct for your machine if you make this upgrade.... (Eg Karcher K7 needs bigger aperature than K2 or K4)... Consult In2detailing or gun supplier for support where needed.

      Thank You So Much for This Tip, I ordered for One for My K7 Full Control today . Edited to Add: "Your a Star !!!
      It will be a Perfect tool for cleaning My VW Caddy Maxi Life Wheel Chair Access Vehicle with my Autoglym Polar Blaster Snow Foam Gun and to be able to switch too & switch back to the Karcher Lance for Long Reach Areas is a dream . I have been hooked on Autoglym for the last 45 years. It works well for me.

      I never saw this comment until AFTER I'd broke my K7. Bought the trigger from HDD no differentiation on their site between any Karcher machines. Fixed the machine not knowing the cause, thought it was just old age and did it again. The trigger gun itself is OK but the nozzle set provided are not a big enough diameter hole.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  3 года назад

      @@StephenT71 you need a bigger hole for the K7 steve, but it will just pulse if you have the smaller hole. you can buy bigger orrafice nozzle on ebay for like a quid or something.

    Quick tip: Whenever you switch out the nozzles on a quick connect gun, point it at the ground and give the trigger a few pulls. This will ensure that the nozzle is fully seated and won't shoot off into the car.
    I wish someone had told me this years ago. Windshields aren't cheap.

      100% haha I learned this the hard way, was detailing with a mobile service on a farm, gave the trigger a quick pull and blew the tip 200 yards out into a field. The tip was never seen again.

      Great tip. I was thinking just that as I watched a video of a guy demonstrating similar quick release nozzles and the nozzle flew out on the car. But just wondering isn't it enough to just pull the nozzle a few times to make sure it doesn't come off? Also what about the snow foam Lance technically same rule applies to that, but I'm assuming just a pull test on the Lance should be ok?

    Got one a couple of months ago for my Karcher K4 and love it. Be careful to spray away from your car the first time after switching nozzles. The nozzle can pop off and hit the paintwork if not seated correctly. Had one or two close calls

    Great review - thanks.
    I had the same thing with hand fatigue. I have 3 cars to wash and by car 3 my right hand was in agony!!
    I have a K4 and the part on the back where the pressure hose connects is perfect for hanging the trigger/gun on.
    The trigger lock on my Suttner 2300 works perfect and stops you firing the gun - must be a design fault on this one.
    One thing I found is that using the short trigger you’re closer to the car and rinsing etc is more accurate and feels quicker to get the job done.
    Arch cleaning and rinsing wheels etc is much easier and more accurate.

    Upgraded to the In2detailing trigger along with the Autoglym Polar Blaster. What a difference! Thanks for the video, spent the afternoon cleaning two cars, no problems using the trigger over three hours, no hand fatigue, bought the deluxe version which has a bigger handle for £5 more. All I need now is a longer hose for my K4. Found the white nozzle best for rinsing. Keep up the good work! Cheers!

    I have a setup like this but still watched the whole video because I enjoy your videos and typically get a good laugh like at the beginning of this video. Hand fatigue is my biggest complaint with my MTM SG28. I would like to see a company put a trigger lock to hold the trigger down because that would really help with hand fatigue. All the ones I own just lock it so it can’t be pulled. Great video Jon with great information!

  • @keithhilton1564
    @keithhilton1564 5 лет назад

    I have a cheap gun and the locking does exactly that. I just put the white and green nozzle in my back pocket. One word of warning, make sure the quick release is in correct.
    Best to aim away from the car, my Kranzle has some serious power. I like the swivel idea but may be a bit bulky for my set up. Cost of my gun about £10.00 with the 5 nozzles.
    Owned for 2 years no issues what so ever. The standard lance is a right lump, i love the smaller gun. Awesome for getting into the wheel arches also. Awesome review John as always.

  • @Calendyr
    @Calendyr 5 лет назад

    John, that is a great idea! Having the nozzles on a holder directly on the gun would be amazing! I use this kind of gun (not with a swivel, but after seeing this I will fix that), and my pressure washer has a holder for 3 nozzles. Not having to walk back to the pressure washer every time I need to switch nozzles would be very nice. Hopefully a manufacturer will see your video and add that to their design, would only cost them a few cents more to produce and would be a great upgrade. One other downside to having a short gun is you are more likely to splash yourself from water bouncing off the car and hitting you, especially when doing wheels or door jambs. But that is a very small inconvenience compared to having to fight with a long riffle style gun when sitting in front of the wheels and trying to rinse them. I agree with you I would not go back to the long wand style design after using this for 2 years.

  • @grahamsopp
    @grahamsopp Месяц назад

    an advantage of the gun is that it's smaller so you can get in places, a disadvantage of the gun is it's smaller so you can't reach places - love your reviews ;)
    'quick release' is a bit of a gimmick, Karcher push twist is just as quick
    so I see it as only an upgrade if you want to use a sexy foam lance

    Whit the karcher gun you can also adjust the pressure and works whit the quick release just put the "old" close to the unit and set the pressure what you want. Works fine.

    Just bought one off these of the back of your review and I absolutely love it, I have a double drive length ways that runs down the side of my house so space is a bit tight but this bit of kit had made it 100x easier and washing the car is a pleasure again! I paired it up with a new super long 1 piece hose rather than having the karcher extension one that stays coiled up and you end up pulling the washer down the drive and not actually extending the hose lol so in all its an absolutely brilliant bit of kit and a bargin!!

  • @SurvivingTheApocalypse

    Got myself a short quick release nozzle set a few weeks ago. Works well and the little interchangeable nozzles are great. Only use the white and the green on the car.

  • @hesourman
    @hesourman 5 лет назад

    I made a short gun, karcher compatible, with swivel for just under £50. I much prefer it to the standard karcher gun. If I do a lot of spraying it can make my arm ache a tiny bit, and the swivel is a bit stiff when the gun is under pressure. I also got a quick disconnect to karcher female adapter for £10 so I can still use any karcher nozzles and foam lances that I have.

    Just got a similar one with a 1/4" quick connect on both ends and a replacement 10m flexible rubber hose for my C120 Nilfisk, replacing the 6m hard plastic hose and the long lance in 1 and making cleaning the car a way easier prospect. Cost a bit more owing to the hose too, but Nilfisk don't make an M22 adaptor and the third party ones regularly suffer blowouts as they're not secure enough.

    As promised, and update following using this a few times.
    As Jon mentions in the video, the trigger requires more ‘grip’ to get it to work, but I think you will soon get used to that. One thing I was not expecting was the ‘recoil’ feeling when you squeeze the trigger ... the gun feels like it’s twisting in your hand ... it’s not a problem, but just something I noticed.
    I feel the the smaller size means that it’s easier to get into the wheel arches etc, and it generally feels like you have more control... so in summary, very happy with it, and I’m glad I purchased it.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  5 лет назад +1

      there is a bit of recoil your right peter.. after using the gun now for a month.. I just think its superb though, as a general thing "the gun" instead of the default karcher 2 handed thing.
      in2detailing may even be looking at offering another gun with this one, ones thats more expensive perhaps but has a lighter trigger.

    I feel the best way to achieve high quality guns/hoses/foamers is to convert the outlet of the machine. I have a K4 with a little adapter on the back to take it from the Karcher fittings to 1/4" quick release and from there the world is your oyster with hoses and guns.
    Get a good quality gun, a snow foamer that does the job and a decent lance with a good handle with good quality quick releases on everything and you will never look back. Mine weren't the cheapest but most of the stuff will likely last the rest of my life so there's that.

    Great review. I got the MTM Stainless steel swivel gun from in2detailing and the gun is awesome. In2detailing are brilliant and all my orders have come next day. I needed to get a adaptor from Furness fluid power that would take the high pressure/temperature from my new Clarke King 200 hot diesel washer. The stainless steel fitting was only £2. 1st day of using the Clarke King 200 and so far it is awesome to have the warm water and really helps with the snow foam layer. You are correct regarding the nozzles. I only use the white one. The swivel makes life so much easier over the standard Lance and gun. Kinks have just about gone. I’ve come from a K4 which was awful in my opinion into a K7 Karcher which I loved. To find a hot 140bar for twice the cost of a K7 is mind boggling. Highly recommend the Clarke King 200 and can be picked up at deals at Anglianpumping. I wish I’d made the move earlier to a hot power washer. It’s quite a bit bigger than the K7 but easily moveable on the two big wheels. I’ve just got the carbon collective portable hex nano machine machine polisher from in2detailing and I’m looking forward to see how it works out. Keep up with the great content. Ps please can you ask In2detailing to start stocking Carpro?

They all have the same design under different brand names but they are the same thing., twinkle star, sooprinse, mingle, etc.... I also bought the adapter kit with the swivel. I'm using extension rods and an upwards pointing water broom to do the underside of my car and once you get more than one quick release connector they get a bit wobbly with a fair bit of play in them.

    I’m on a K4 Karcher with pressure setting controlled via twist action of the lance nozzle. This product took away that capability and does not have the capability of setting the pressure from the original gun sitting in the washer like yours Jon. Overall I have to say it doesn’t offer enough advantages for me over the standard gun. I did find it useful as you pointed out for wheel arches and the swivel connection does have it’s plus points, however, despite the great price in2detailing are offering on this product, unless you are really picky about how you operate your washer, then the standard Karcher gun does the job for me. One great mod which I do recommend is the extra long hose, that does make life easier. Great vid as per usual Jon.... keep them coming!!!

      great honest feedback... you do loose being able to drop the pressure down.. maybe try flip to the black nozzle to simulate low pressure.. I think there are also some other push fit nozzle options where you can alter fan out that might be worth exploring.

      That’s good to hear as I also have a K4 and wondered about the pressure control it not being wireless.
      So re the White Nozzle Jon recommends would you say it is equivalent to the Medium setting on the Karcher or stronger.

    Awesome video!
    That swiwel is worth the price it self. Cause that's what I miss the most from the Kärcher K7 Full Control Premium Plus Flex I've got. I have got a short tube with the k-series adapter and the other end a QC. Didn't think of setting the pressure still on the original handle LOL. Have got me an extension with 2 QC on the tube and 1 longer with the little bend on the end to get a more ergonomics when wanted a more straight angle with the nozzle. I have a handle on the tube where it's places to have the QC nozzle tips on it too.
    I found a Kärcher Vario Power Jet Short 360 nozzle which you connect on the original handle. This is awesome when you use it on wheel wells and undercarriage. I put a little wheel on it with plastic stripes to get at the undercarriage more easier and more control. The pressure adjusted on the nozzle tip adjust it wireless to the gun handle one to like the patio cleaner does. Then I have 2 Kärcher extension wands when doing the undercarriage. A little handy thing to have with the Kärcher PW and makes it a little shorter than original.
    But man just to get the swiwel even if I would have the original spray gun would be awesome! Will look out for it or ordering it from the UK.

    i think it puts you to close to splash back not a problem when its warm but in the uk its not often and if you wear glasses they get plastered, I had lance from a previous model , keep me snow bottle on that one then swap over to the variable lance when rinsing don't need all them little nozzles ,the longer lance works for me I do not get wet and glasses are clear

    Great video Jon.
    I bought the MTM SGS28 gun with integrated swivel. And it's like you say, I will never go back again.
    Can't remember what I paid for it but I think it was around £100 with the MTM PF22 foam cannon.
    I also have the K7, and I use the insert for chemicals on the pressure washer to store my nozzles when I don't use them. I haven't lost any yet.

    Just purchased this kit after watching your video, been annoyed by my karcher lance for ages now and was after one of these, as always your videos are awesome.
    In2detailing’s website on the other hand is awful, kept crashing during checkout and I ended up using PayPal to just checkout. Cost me £39 including postage for the K series kit.

      Thought I’d post a follow up, I’ve been using this since purchase for car washes only, since the lockdown I decided to wash my driveway, the strong spring on the trigger is VERY annoying when using this for a long period as cleaning a full driveway takes a full day.
      The other thing I wanted to ask is how do I actually remove this to switch back to my karcher (as I have the patio cleaner attachment for that and it would’ve made my life a lot easier)?
      One final note, mine developed a leak near the part there you chance the attachments, the rubber seal within there had become twisted, I unscrewed the nut and straightened it and after retightening it appears to be fine but just a point to note.

    Been using a short gun for some time and they are excellent for detailing, much more manoeuvrable and easier to control, especially on things like wheels and sills etc. Extension lances are quite cheap too, so yet another benefit to the qr system if that’s your preference.
    The swivel on this looks great and is unique in the marketplace, not so sure about the trigger assembly itself though, looks like that is the part keeping the cost down. That said, a branded gun with LTF (Low Trigger Force) costs half as much again as this whole package without the swivel and qr attachments. LTF is nice, but unless you are regularly using the machine for more than two cars, or have an issue that affects your grip strength, then it’s no biggie.
    Overall I’d say get one, it will revolutionise the way you use your pressure washer and after a decent hose, it’s best upgrade you can get for any machine. Just wish Imran would sell the swivel assembly separately. Hint, hint!!!

    Another great vid, and a great package for the price.
    I modded my K2 with quick releases, swivels, stubby gun and longer hose about 2 years ago and it probably cost as much as i originally paid for the K2. Having said that it's 5 years old and still gives great results, and is a far better set up than the normal Karcher. I haven't found any negatives with it at all while using it.
    If you check out ebay you can find different styles of nozzle holders, and also other nozzles like the dirt blaster.

      @@ForensicDetailing No i went with an Italian made MV925, it's pretty good quality and is really durable. It's been dropped a couple of times, and even been driven over and it's still as good as new. If you go down the modding route it can be a bit of a headache sourcing all the parts, but i was lucky enough to find a seller on ebay that had everything. It's definitely worthwhile doing, as you can mod your pressure washer to suit your needs.

    Hello FDC and viewers.
    For those that know the following please ignore, for those that do not I hope this helps.
    The Karcher K7 pressure washer has a MAXIMUM output pressure of 180 Bar (2610 psi).
    The nominal working pressure is 145 Bar (2103 psi). Look on the label of the machine.
    I have 2 Snow Foam Cannons, 1 with the 1.1mm orifice and the other with the 1.25mm one.
    When I use the Snow Foam Cannon with the 1.1 and the K7 on full power the washer pulsates due to the over pressure switch cutting in and out to protect the washer as the orifice is too small.
    When I use the 1.25 one it works perfectly.
    If you have any problems with the washer and Snow Foam Cannon check the orifice. They can be bought for between 5 and 10 pounds from MJJC. Cheaper ones are available from eBay but I have no experience with them.
    I have also bought a short trigger gun from High Definition Detail.
    I bought the Kranzle version as I had already got the Karcher Quick Release adaptor on order from elsewhere.
    The Kranzle one works perfectly fine with the K7 at full power and using the 15 degree nozzle, no pulsing.
    The output pressure of the K7 can still be adjusted using the original lance as it uses a Wi-Fi signal.
    I haven't tried the SFC yet as I haven't converted it to the quick release you get with it.
    Hope this helps 😀

    Very informative video, thanks! I was looking at a similar looking set but it costs 219€!!! It's probably a bit better but not that much. That's what I paid my Kärcher K4 premium 4 years ago. They say it's stainless steel, I think it should be gold plated for that price now that I watched your video.
