good job mate, if u try a self etching/dtm lacquer, it'll give better adhesion. im unsure if you can get in aerosol. if you have a heat gun get the can warmed up so product flows smoothly and use your heat lamp to warm the wheel up prior to your first coat of lacquer 🙂

Did you use a quick ceramic detailing spray sealant as a drying aid or say infinity wax quick detailer spray to top up the original 1yr coating I've just used infinity wax synergy V2 lite and 4mths into it the coating is performing as day 1 with a snow foam and shampoo every 2/3 wee and using infinity wax quick detailing spray as a drying agent every other wash

Not sure if you'll pick this up ... I'd my Superb coated with the Infinty Wax 2 year ceramic coating back in April and honestly over the summer months it took their wheel cleaner, citrus pre tewash and snowfoam and it was clean enough to not require a contact wash .... Im lucky in that being retired im only doing maybe 100 miles a week but the cars not garaged and I've been thoroughly impressed with it all .... Shes had a couple of contact washes and i bought their Synergy Boost just to top it off and its amazing stuff too...... I dry the car with the running water trick and the towel dry takes no time at all....

Bought mine last week at the Home Depot here in Mazatlan. Blaaa. Hose connections leaked, no container for soap in the box, had to use a jar. and no assembly instructions. I blame most of this in the belief that although there was no indication that the box had been opened, I cant believe the manufacturer would ship an item without all of the contents and is defective (leaks)

nice work .. the process can probably be simplified to speed it up with close to equal results - 1) scuff the paint areas. 2) power sand 220 3) power sand 400 4) hand wet sand/ wash off 6-800 5) power compound

Although two years old this is a very timely vid for me. About to crack out my K2 after years in the garage. I had a Fiat 500 and laziness and lack of enthusiasm for the car led to rare trips to the automatic car wash. I now have an Audi A3 2.0 TDi S Line and it deserves the love! These add ons will be a must. Especially the 10m hose, i remember when i did use my K2 many moons ago that it pissed me off having to keep moving the unit.

The only issue with very high (Alkaline) or very low (Acidic) wheel cleaners are that those types, while fantastic at attacking dirt and grime, will strip off any wax, sealant, or coating off your rims. The wax or sealant will probably be gone before you even empty your wash bucket. A ceramic coating may take longer to disappear, but continuous use of really high PH soaps will strip off protection. Just something to keep in mind. Using a PH neutral cleaner or soap is the best option for anyone who does use protection on their rims and reserving the really high or low PH stuff for those situation that require it. Now certainly detailers will need the heavy hitters for decontaminating vehicles, but for the enthusiast at home, PH neutral is the way to go. Iron Removers are usually PH neutral so they are safe on rims with protection. If you are an enthusiast and you need a heavy hitting wheel cleaner, something like Iron-X or similar is definitely the way to go.

That BMW engine sounds like a sh!t box.

The shampoo is Sio2 based so these don`t create loads of suds and are not meant to, and every time you Recharged the solution you were diluting the mixture hence the poor results. If used as instructed the product is excellent !!!!!.

I'm new to the product. Are you supposed to wash and wax your vehicle and then apply or just wash the vehicle and use the "wet coat" as the wax?

I have a black highly polished and coated car that I prewash with Gyeon Foam(4% PIR) and then hand wash with Gyeon Bathe + every week. This has worked very well for me in maintaining high levels of gloss and hydrophobicity. On my last wash, as an experiment, I upped the concentration of Bathe+ by 50%, from the recommended 20 ml in 2½ gal of water to 30 ml of product. I also applied Gyeon Wet Coat as recommended directly on the panels. The result was stunning; in gloss, slickness and hydrophobicity. I'm a big fan of Gyeon products and enjoy seeing others experiences with them in these videos.

Got a free karcher k2 from my parents and ive upgraded parts after watching this and im really impressed with it for washing my car. I went to halfords and got some of there advanced cleaning products and pretty impressed with them

Thank you so much. I have a pressure washer but its a pain in the ass to get out every time i want to wash the car and truck. I dont have a super handy setup like some where its just right there ready to use. Most of my washes i want to just use water, a lubricating spray and a drying aid.

Great video, a question if I may, did putting the clear coat on change the colour of the polished face? Only reason I ask is I've got wheels thar normally are machine cut and cleared but I cant see any tooling marks and looks more like light silver than say polished or machined finish.
