    Eff melasma!
    I've been using tranexamic for severe cramps and I see it has cleared my face. Even my dear mother mentioned how bright my skin is. I sort of love it and I'm thinking of seeing my dermatologist to discuss longterm use of tranexamic acid.
    I'll update you after the holidays or next year 😉

    20% azealic acid , 1% tretinoin, kojic acid 2% ,arbutin 1% ,
    Will these work without hydroquinone?

      Studies showed that combining niacinamide with kojic acid have comparable results to using hydroquinone alone and without the major and minor side effects.
      Also adding vitamin C to your routine will help significantly. Hope this helps

    I believe I heard in one of your videos that discoloration can get worse when starting with hydroquinone as it brings melanin from the inside out, but will get better afterwards. Is this correct? And how long before it looks better?
    I’ve started using it on my face and arm pits and mi face looks slightly more pigmented and uneven but my arm pits look really really dark!
    I hope you can give me some tips.
    Thanks in advance and I love your videos!!!

    Is there a percentage to use in hydroquinone? I am abroad and can buy hydroquinone at the pharmacy here. In fact, my mother currently has a tube of hydroquinone that was prescribed to her by the dermatologist. I am planning on buying it here at the pharmacy in Latin America. Is there any percentage that I should get, or is it all the same? I have light melasma on my left side cheek and starting to get more spots on my right side cheek. Is there a specific percentage? Thank you!

      Prescription strength in the US is 4%. It's no longer sold over the counter but it used to be sold at 2%. I was told to take a break from hydroquinone after six months.

    What do you recommend for Rosacea? I take an oral antibiotic, Doxycycline, but still get breakouts.

    • @juleswick
      @juleswick 11 месяцев назад +1

      Have you tried Soolantra? It’s a prescription cream approved for the treatment of rosacea, specifically targeting a skin parasite called demodex mites. YUM I know. I was prescribed this cream several years ago by my derm and at the time this particular cream wasn’t available in generic and was going to cost me like $800 or something insane, so unfortunately I couldn’t use it. I struggled for a long time trying to treat the “rosacea bumps” the same way I would acne AND it got me nowhere. -“” it did was leave me with an even more compromised skin barrier thus causing more inflammation and this never ending cycle would begin again. It would never fully clear. If I would have been able to afford this cream I would have absolutely used it.
      I found this online: Soolantra is likely to be more effective in treating rosacea where bumps and spots (papules & pustules) are present…
      My sister in law had great success with it. The doxycycline is good for the inflammation part of the rosacea and possibly helps with acne (if you get actual acne) but I really think you should try this Soolantra cream. I’m pretty sure it’s available in generic now, and at the very least the brand name shouldn’t be so high now that there are generics available.
      Hope this helps!
