    I would love to see an AM & PM skincare routine that uses these products to lighten/remove hyperpigmentation & melasma. So often we have all of the ingredients but we arent using them to their full potential due to lack of knowledge in layering or using other products that don’t pair well. Thanks and love all of your videos!!!

      @@megleland6320 Thank you for sharing your detailed process. I wish Dr. Idriss would share these type of details. Product knowledge is great but unless it's used properly, you will not reap the benefits.
      Would you mind sharing the actual products you use? Also, prior to using these products, how severe were your hyperpigmentations or melanoma? How long did it take before you saw significant results. I have tried so many different products and none have seemed to diminish the hyperpigmentations. I've tried several C (ascorbic acid) serums and most have caused severe dryness and crepey texture so I have to dilute it with other serums like Alpha Arbutus. It doesn't sound like you have dry skin. My cheeks are very dry and even worse when using C serums or retinol which I have omitted to cut down on dryness. I've tried so many moisturizers like Urban SkinFx, Aveeno Calm Restore, and many other heavy barrier creams but they don't seem to help. :(
      I appreciate any help you can provide.

    • @kleptomelly
      @kleptomelly Год назад +1

      I've always heard mineral are better but I have melasma and have been using the Isntree watery sungel for years.I think that's a chemical spf. The thing I hear more often than chemical vs mineral spf for melasma is to use tinted spf because the iron oxides offer a different type of protection. Also it's more important to find an spf you love and will use everyday. If you can't stand mineral spf and aren't consistent, it's better to use a chemical spf you will use and reapply.

      @@kleptomelly yes I'm using a tinted physical sunscreen now, it's great for the summer but a little too dry for the winter. I've tried other tinted sunscreen but I'm so pale and these tints that some sunscreen have are so orangey or bronze so maybe I'll try s chemical sunscreen eventually.

    Dear Shereene, do you ever tan? As in go swimming in the ocean, enjoy the day by the pool? My issue with going deep into anti-aging is that because I started to focus so much on the negatives (sun spots that run in the family, skin cancer obsession), I lost the ability to enjoy being outside. And I live for being in the water, it's my ultimate self help tool to unwind. I like to be a little golden looking. Hi Dr. After watching multiple videos of yours about hydroquinone, i wanna use but im not sure about the ingredients they combined I've got one which contains 4% of hydroquinone, 0.025% of tretinoin and 0.1% of mometasone . Would it be safe or get good results of it ? Are they good combinations? Please

    Hello, I’m a little late to the party. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation, I’m in my mid 20s and would really like some help or guidance. The only time that I have had the most success with dealing or “Getting rid of” my hyperpigmentation was at the beginning of my 20s. I was using Clinique everything (still am), but the magic product was their dark spot correcting serum. Throughout that journey I stupidly decided to try a different product that was highly recommended by someone, it was the urban skin rx dark spot corrector, but I did not know that it had retinol, and I was using that product 2x a day until my skin began to get extremely itchy and peeling, ever since, my skin has not been the same and that “glass skin” that I had with using Clinique is gone. I would really like some help. I know that you mentioned a lot of ingredients needed for hyperpigmentation. Could you please do a video of what a skincare routine for hyperpigmentation would look like and what products to use? I could really use the visual to guide me. Thank you!!

    Why do most of the creams serums moisturizers emphasize that they have NIACINAMIDE as their first ingredient and you named it last. And the second one Alpha Arbutin

    @shereeneidriss can you let us know if we can use hydroquinone together with Retenoids at night?
    Does hydroquinone should be used only at night or both AM/PM
    Where do we leave Glicolyc acid for skin texture?
    Thank you!

    Would be great to make a video about home devices! They are so many and it's hard to tell what is really effective and what is just a waste of money... For example, the light therapy is everywhere right now, I'd love to hear your thoughts on that. Thank you so much 💜

    I am 47 and have poikiloderma of crivatte (not sure if thats spelt correctly), Ive tried laser which did reduce some pigmentation but its now splotchy brown and red all over my neck. I had beautiful skin up until a couple of years ago. I live in Australia but have ALWAYS used sunscreen everyday ever since a dermatologist told me this when i was in my early twenties. I am not sure how to treat this as the dermatologist that did the laser treatment didn't really explain anything and I honestly thought it would disappear after the laser treatment but nope, actually it looks worse. I need help if anyone reading this could tell me how to treat this. Maybe an led mask might help?

    Hello, please for the love of god. I know that wearing sunscreen is important. But please give options for people who don't wear sunscreen. There are many people who don't including myself, for numerous reasons. So what do we do? I've been using vitamin C serum when I have to drive somewhere in my car. And avoid sun exposure as much as possible. Working nightshifts help with that. Thank you.

      It can be overwhelming. Use the vitamin c with sunscreen and save the majorfade serum for further use. But if you're rich🤑 then sure go!
