I would love to see an AM & PM skincare routine that uses these products to lighten/remove hyperpigmentation & melasma. So often we have all of the ingredients but we arent using them to their full potential due to lack of knowledge in layering or using other products that don’t pair well. Thanks and love all of your videos!!!

@@megleland6320 Thank you for sharing your detailed process. I wish Dr. Idriss would share these type of details. Product knowledge is great but unless it's used properly, you will not reap the benefits.
Would you mind sharing the actual products you use? Also, prior to using these products, how severe were your hyperpigmentations or melanoma? How long did it take before you saw significant results. I have tried so many different products and none have seemed to diminish the hyperpigmentations. I've tried several C (ascorbic acid) serums and most have caused severe dryness and crepey texture so I have to dilute it with other serums like Alpha Arbutus. It doesn't sound like you have dry skin. My cheeks are very dry and even worse when using C serums or retinol which I have omitted to cut down on dryness. I've tried so many moisturizers like Urban SkinFx, Aveeno Calm Restore, and many other heavy barrier creams but they don't seem to help. :(
I appreciate any help you can provide.

10:43 I love that you mentioned this. for this reason I rather use niacinimde 5% + alpha arbutin 2%+ trentinoin together than vitamin c. All of them together can do what vitamin c can do by itself. But they do a better job for each task. Niacnimide and vitamin c are both antioxidant but vitamin c can be irritating to your skin and it’s a very unstable ingredient

Dear Shereene, do you ever tan? As in go swimming in the ocean, enjoy the day by the pool? My issue with going deep into anti-aging is that because I started to focus so much on the negatives (sun spots that run in the family, skin cancer obsession), I lost the ability to enjoy being outside. And I live for being in the water, it's my ultimate self help tool to unwind. I like to be a little golden looking. I cannot spend my life being scared for the sun touching my body, which is the case now. I see new sun spots come out on my body daily and I'm lost.

Hyperpigmentation is frustrating to deal with. For few years i have diligently used Timeless Vit C , niacinamide (in moisturizer) , tinted spf 50, 0.1 % Tret, and a whole tube of Topicals Faded (which has many of the ingredients mentioned in video). No change in the sunspots on my cheeks or melasma mustache. I will not use HQ because i dont want to deal with chance of rebound hyper pig. Now i might ask my derm for prescription azaleic acid to see if that helps

I wish she included product rwccomendations for some of the rarer over the counter products. I understand that some of these require a prescription but for the ones that don't, some options would be handy! Other than Niacinamide and Vit C as I feel confident that ahe has given us great reccomend ations. Also, I'm in Australia and as much as I would love to purchase her line of products, they don't ship to Australia so other options for similar products would be so helpful.

Hi Dr. Idriss! Question: I find Alezaic Acid not so much cosmetically elegant or pleasant under other skin care products or makeup. What would you recommend regarding application? Am or pm and as which step of the routine? Also, is there any brand that you prefer?
Many thanks for another great and very informative video! 🙂

Dr Shereene- could you do a short on those online tretinoin suppliers? Apostrophe and curology are two of them I think. Thank you!

I bought a fade cream at the pharmacy for $7 with vitamin c + licorice in it and couldn't BELIEVE how effective it was for brown spots.

I'm a typical pale skinned, freckled redhead. I have had IPL and Fraxel many times and still find that even with sunscreen and avoiding the sun like crazy the freckles return in exactly the same spot they were zapped off.

Thank you. I have sun spots and went on Tretinoin ( 1 year and a half so far) but they don't come off... I have better skin texture though.
