I use a serum with 2% Alpha Arbutin, Kojic Acid & Licorice Root Extract and layer this with another serum with Tranexamic Acid and Niacinamide and then top it off with a moisturiser that has 3% squalane, glycerin, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and ceramide np for my night time facial regime. For day, I switch the Tranexamic Acid serum with a serum that has Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ferulic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate and Hyaluronic Acid as active ingredients before topping it off with the same moisturiser and a mineral SPF 50 PA++++ sunscreen. Am I doing it correct for my melasma Dr V?

Hi Dr. V, thank you for what you do. I am a 40 year old Indian woman with combination skin living in snowy parts of US for the last 12 years. I have some melasma popping on my left cheek bone. I also deal with acne, cystic at times . I currently use Dermalogica pre cleanse , gel wash, Rose water spray in the AM, Body Shop’s Seaweed Oil balancing Toner in the PM, Ordinary Niacinimide, CeraVe moisturizer in the AM, Ordinary creamy moisturizer in the PM , LA Roche Posay broad spectrum mineral sunscreen with SPF 50 in the AM . I also use Retin A 0.025% twice a week at night and Glymed’s 5% Salicylic Acid topical treatment for acne spots as needed. I don’t apply Retin A and Salicylic on the same areas. I was using Orinary’s Glycolic Acid until recently and stopped after watching your video. I also have reduced the use of my Dermalogica Superfoliant to once a week.
